    I don't think the security fence regulations were applied to seated areas? An absolutely horrendous event which at least resulted in safety measures to ensure there were no repeats elsewhere.

    Have to admit I don't believe that was the case. Dalglish has said himself even if Hansen was on the plane to Mexico he still wouldn't have been. He was crocked in the FA Cup final and needed knee surgery.

    It was definitely a public holiday. In fact with the lack of lockdown celebrations were more extensive. I recall going to the Hunting Lodge in Killie because the landlord had promised to sell beer at 1945 prices if you brought old money with you. Needless to say this had only applied to about 3 pints sold around 6 hours earlier.

    I think the idea that the lyrics are innuendo laden is apocryphal. The original song was titled My Girl Lollipop for one thing (sung by doo-wop group The Cadillacs).

    John Freebairn keeps goal for Partick Thistle circa 1960. Sorry to hear of his death last week at the age of 82. My dad knew him when they were both engineering students. An all round athlete John went on to compete in highland games for many years.

    Best penalty saver I've seen at Rugby Park. I know I reckoned Ferguson would have to be Killie's best, but Lekovic is my all time favourite. What a character, liable to have a brain fart at any minute, but he made some astonishing saves.
