  1. I mean other than the goal where Devine really should have brought himself to the line with the rest of the 3 - I don't think I can recall him having much influence on the game. Morrison and Miller on the other hand really having a field day. Still absolutely right anyone that leaves Alloa to go to full-time football and does well normally is a boon for us. Shows the pathway for ambitious players joining us is there. We want players to develop and be successful.
  2. I am but when it's a blood and thunder interview that's old school... I'm on football manager tweaking the system to perfection.
  3. Can you decide if it's a daft question, or an insightful one for me? The immediate analogue I can draw is we had a very limited team under Jim Goodwin. We reverted to personnel and formations that kept us tight. We won 2 of the opening 9 games against the bottom two yet after took at least a point in every game except against Ayr and Raith. Held onto January when we signed Kirkpatrick and Stewart and the rest is history but without the pragmatic approach Goodwin would've been out before he turned around that team.
  4. That's my video. I was just letting the BBC have a shot of them for the TV. You've got to help these small organisations out after all.
  5. Haha... You may have caught me asking the manager about potentially changing formations because I know he always wants his two up front. I'm aware that opinions are like arseholes - everyone's got one and yours stinks... so was tempted to not put that up as I don't think it's a great look for an interview. Sitting doing the highlights now so I might not have time tonight before I go to bed. But personally all the manager chat is just anathema to me because the proof is what happens on the park. If they win youre happy, if they lost managers not happy. None of it is massively interesting and it's often tired cliche. I like to keep the post match thoughts on those safe lines Think he'd have given me the Jim McLean treatment if I mentioned Taggart on the left and Deveney on the right tbh
  6. You can kill the wasps but they always come back next summer.... let's hope we don't take that long.
  7. I'd assume Miller is a ACL or something ligament related. I did mine trying to sweep the ball in the same way.
  8. I'll do a video at some point on how I do mine just now. Our football's been hard to watch for most of this campaign so it'll give me something to take my mind off it. Don't know if you have any relationship with the people that run the club day to day anymore....When you end up with postponed midweek games there's probably a fair possibility I could do them - I have toyed with the idea of making a platform of my own to stream random games on.
  9. I'll be happy if it stays at 4 penalties in four games.
  10. I only care for an AI generated retort thank you.
  11. I think it's simplistic to say that Sammon and MacIver didn't work well together. Certainly a team effort to get Sammon the goal return that he did and we wouldn't have seen that impressive tally without MacIver. Would we have done better with just MacIver? Personally not sure he showed enough killer instinct when it did fall to him to carry us on his own. I can't speak for his League Cup goals but having watched the opening three league games for Falkirk the role he plays is very similar to what he did for us. He's just bringing a Calvin Miller, Alfredo Agyeman or Calumn Morrison into the game which I would suggest as better goalscorers than our equivalent options currently. His two league goals have been headers from fairly delicious deliveries andI think he's hit the post although I'm not actually 100% its him because it's been pixellot footage for Cove and Annan and difficult to identify the players. But I don't think any of us can deny how good he was in the air from his time at Alloa.
  12. Might well be attempting to summon a performance for Sammon with this week's cover. Undoubtedly still finding our feet with 10 new players but after so much preseason friendlies and now 7 competitive games into a season there's a palpable worry about why. When Brian Rice came in we played the same 3-4-3 formation on paper but at times were functionally playing with a 3-1-6. We were attacking and very capable of breaking teams down. We now are distinctly 5-3-2 looking these days often with quite narrow play. Worse than that some of the goals we have conceded are very poor errors from individuals. I think naturally that has led to protecting the defense more which has turned into a bit of a death spiral of hampering the ability to hurt teams and then forcing us on the defensive more often. A comment you often hear about FA cup games on the BBC is lower league teams on their day can all beat a Premier League team - they just don't have the consistency to always perform at that level. The Queen of the South game is almost certainly the outlier this season in how good the attacking was. That's been the frustrating issue is that its been so inconsistently displayed.
  13. Been lazy with the shorts for 2023. Can't be goal of the season loses marks for it not being a matchwinner.
  14. I would be interested to see the team in that formation. I'm falling out of love of the 3-4-3. I think in some games it works but other times it's handicapping the wing backs too easily and making us quite narrow. Corbett and Walker had lots of touches today because they don't particularly have an opposite number. We then tend to lose the midfield because there's not enough width and it just becomes an aimless lump forward. Also not convinced at shoehorning Coulson in either as a forward. Think he is a winger more than Kev. If I had to pick the team: I don't mind that 5 subs coming on to a tiring team in the second half. But back to reality today was better than last week and I felt distinctly better when I watched the highlights of the game back, it's not all doom and gloom yet but we need to start delivering some goals soon from opportunities.
  15. He was injured before the QoS game. Think he tried to join the warmup but wasn't feeling it and sat with the unstripped players in Dumfries. Think he's back available now.
  16. They've got the same problem Edinburgh do with terrible framing too. Here's a player running down the line but what is he looking at? is there a player closing him down? Too jarring for me to even attempt to watch.
  17. 5D chess from the administration as soon it will be a noteworthy enough landmark in the new Fallout game. Can't buy that kind of advertising.
  18. Obviously a few years since we had Eden Lynch, but we were a team of ballers back then and I have the burning recollection they purposefully didn't pass to him.
  19. Having already watched the official camera. It's actually better highlights than that.
  20. We're just setting up conditions for being 18 points behind only to win the title on the last day. It's all in the plan to inflict maximum misery.
