Supporting Lowland League clubs against colts
Matty-RCFC replied to Gordon EF's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
My son is part of the ICT youth system and they played Bonnyrigg in a Youth Cup game a few years ago (and lost). Met a few Rose fans that night that were all very passionate about the club but more importantly decent blokes. Would probably chuck a few quid towards their way. -

A massive well done and congrats to all Saints tonight. A prime example to all on how a club should be run. -
Well done tonight lads. You guys streets ahead of us and that wasn’t even close to a strongest team from what I gather. Was impressed by a number of players, especially thought young Henderson was exceptional for you tonight. Looks like a bright prospect. Marcus Fraser also looks to have come on to a real game at Saints which is good to see. Probably be a while before we play each other again so best of luck for the rest of the season and hopefully you go a few better in the cup this time.

In the 85th minute of the game tonight, I heard him scream “we need something”. If that’s the motivation you’re getting from your manager at a pivotal part of the game then what chance you got? -

Two horse shite defences fighting to see who’s more horse shite but they’re both equally horse shite. -

I could’ve sworn I saw a photo of Randall in training the other day but maybe it’s not full training so you could assume he’ll be out. Hjelde at left back it’ll have to be. Still a decent team on paper nonetheless. -

I think we should set up like this: Laidlaw Naismith Watson Iacovitti Randall Draper Lakin Paton Gardyne Shaw Hylton I don’t like the back line but I think it’s the best we can put up at the moment. Good balance in that midfield and inverted wingers so they can come in and link up with Shaw. I know we’ll concede at least once so we’re going to need a goal to get something out the game, may as well set up 433 for that reason. I still think there’s enough games between now and the end of the season that both ourselves and Killie will drop points in so therefore it’s not as big a game as I think the one with Accies is, but if we want 10th we need to be taking something from it. -

You should’ve saved some time and not made that graphic mate. The only arsehole that tells you they’re similar is John Hughes and that says all you need to know. -

No danger; I’m thinking more of a Morton or Ayr level. -

I think most people would prefer their team won than lost. How they do it is what they get paid for. -

Can you tell me what that is please? Because I’ve been watching it for 4/5 months and am still unsure as to what this “way” is. -

Could really pull up anyone of the useless b*****ds but how bad is Stephen Kelly. He’d be some marathon runner but the poor guy is absolutely hopeless. -
First half Hibs definitely had the better of the chances and I’ll admit County looked poor first half. But we were completely done out by decisions today. Penalty is honesty baffling; sticks his foot in front of Iacovitti who doesn’t even go for a challenge. Boyle should be off for two bookings and Newell could arguably have been off but ultimately that was late in the game so wouldn’t have had an effect. But second half we created chances but were unlucky. Ultimately Hibs get more chances as we go for the game but I think it’s definitely harsh to blame Yogi for the loss as a hole.

Sore one to take that. Definitely a game of two halves in which Saints had the better of the first half but we certainly had more opportunities in the second. Penalty decision is baffling but these things cost you when you have an inability to take chances. Constantly getting big wins against sides when there’s no pressure then not turning up to follow them up will likely be what costs us this season. Still well in our hands but need to start taking our chances if we’ve any hope of playing Premiership football next season. -
Think I’ll give this one a swerve. Watch Songs of Praise or something cheers.

Aye reading my comments back it was certainly extremely heat of the moment stuff. We played some decent stuff especially between the start of the second half up to the Utd first goal. Didn’t create too many clear cut chances but the two that we did create should’ve been finished and two confident strikers finish those (especially Mckays 1on1). We definitely should’ve got something out of the game but it was cheap goals letting us down again. Hamilton result doesn’t help us but we have to remember but we’ve still to play every team in the mix at least one more time this season so to right us off with 10 to go is just daft.
