The Big Queen's Park FC Thread

The great Dutch plan. We will develop kids and bung them in the first team after a couple of months and see how they do. We will put a few more on the bench because we made a total arse of signings in the summer. We will teach them the high press and to be patient and boring in the build up. Robin - we are losing to Falkirk with fifteen minutes to go. No problem - I have the Dutch way of doing things for that, put a centre back up front and play with panic six up front with no clue what to do. Utter balls, who do you think you are kidding you charlatan? -

There is no stopping us going down now. Veldman has no clue what to do. Ferrie stopped a massacre. He was brilliant. No 1 for me every time. If I was Paton I would demand a transfer for misrepresentation that we were a football team. Poor McCormick was really out his depth. Not his fault, we should not be playing kids like that in the first team. It could destroy them rather than develop them. Please go Veldman. -

We haven't got a second team. That is our squad. You can now see our problem. -

Can't honestly say I will be crying tears if he goes. I felt his appointment was unrealistic and suspicious from the start. Veldman must go too, though. Dempster would make the complete package. Time would heal the short term mess. -

I decided to do that very thing last season and stuck to it. This season I won two season tickets in a Cinch competition so will use them as I see fit. I will not give a penny piece extra to the club for merchandise, refreshment, hospitality, etc until Dempster, Beuker, and Hunter are removed. These people are now so slowly killing our club. I look forward to away games. -

I have said it before but I will continue to support Queen's Park as a team. They are my team and have been for decades. As a club we are run by a bunch of absolute shite who have no regard whatsoever for the fans. I include our committee in this as they appear to have been sucked in to the cess pit of arrogance and ignorance. I would give none of them a sip of water if they were dying of thirst. -

Hard to watch. We will entice nobody to come and watch this. We will be lucky to hold the fans we have got. Beuker and Veldman got us into this and I fear they have no idea how to get us out of it. With the squad we have been left with we are for Div 1 for sure. -

For the fans, read the news. For the players, unsafe footing causing high risk of strains and pulls at best which can lead to much more serious issues. -

No way this game should go ahead. Safety of fans is obviously not important to SPFL/SFA. Health and safety of players not considered either. -
I agree but seriously when you think about it if either Beuker or Veldman were any good at Alkmaar or Anderlecht they would not be at Queen's Park. We were properly taken in. We were probably the only job offer they got. Beuker can talk round stats and figures all he wants but when anything to do with practical football was thrown at him he failed. Veldman is just like the team - a lost wee boy.

Could you padlock him to the bench, please. -
Back in the 1950s when we were getting hammered by everyone my mum used to joke by encouraging me to take a piece of string to Hampden and tie a knot in it every time the opposition scored. That way I could keep track of the score. No electronic screens in those days. I have raked through my "bits and pieces" drawer and found a piece of string which could come in very handy on Saturday. My last visit to Tannadice was a million years ago, 1978, for a Scottish Cup quarter final which we lost 2-0, if my memory serves me right.

I agree, but to my mind neither Veldman nor Beuker have the mindset to change. They are blinkered, which is why I believe their time here is limited. Lord Wullie will only take so much. -

I feel so sorry for the players. Generally they are quite talented and well good enough for this league. I am sure they want to learn. They will become demoralised very quickly if this nonsense continues. -

I think the biggest hurdle is the culture of Dutch/German versus our own. One is very rule based allowing little imagination and ours..............is not. I believe a coach should firstly be developing the strengths of each player within the team and adopting a system of play to suit that team, not coming in to change everything to his theory from square one without thought to the individual. I am not confident Veldman can or wants to change. -

Again, don't disagree entirely. Turner has been slow to kick on but I think Thomson moving up would help him. McPherson was probably signed purely to attack and contribute to "aggressive football".
