What a fighter inoue is! Tremendous performance. How domaire stayed on his feet in the 2nd with the savage blows he was taking for as long as he did was also impressive.

This 3 or 0 stance makes no sense to me. Surely if one of the arse checks get in without the other , they will gain an advantage in being able to develop all those future Scotland internationals themselves , giving them an advantage over their “rivals.” It’s almost like youth development isn’t their motivation at all.

Great idea, especially considering teams in these leagues are better than most of the LL league teams anyway. Bump WOS, EOS and SOS up to tear 5 , have a 4 way playoff with the HL winners for 2 promotion spots to league 2 with 2 automatic relegation. maybe increase the size of league 2 to accommodate this. Expell the LL from the pyramid so they can have their closed shop with no relegation and can suck the OF teat as much as they like without affecting anyone in the rest of the pyramid.

At what stage is it just too big and unwieldy? Even someone like me who absolutely loves the World Cup struggles to watch all the games in a 32 team tournament. No chance with a 48 or 64 team WC. Might end up like the cricket World Cup where the first round is just a procession for the big teams until the real tournament starts in the knockouts. Less jeopardy and fewer surprises might start affecting viewing figures like has been happening in the early stages of the champions league.

I must be out of touch but I thought Chris Rock deserved a slap there. Making a joke about someone’s medical condition. Unacceptable. There is certain things that are not fair game and that is one of them. For a professional comedian or twenty odd years not to understand this means the slap in the dish was coming. A room full of ridiculous celebrities with huge egos and crazy lifestyles all backslapping each other about how wonderful they all are.Any comedian worth his salt would have had plenty of material to work with. Instead he went with “let’s laugh at the bald lady” like a primary school class clown.

Just finished BOBF A strange show, first 4 episodes quite slow for me then got good when it became another show( basically season 2.5 of the mandalorian) A lot of what makes the mandalorian great was missing from this show, Monster of the week on a new interesting location with good , interesting side characters. Boba fett just hung about tattooine which we have seen plenty of now. Fennec Shan’s a good character but not developed any. I don’t feel I know any more about her than I did watching the mandalorian. The most interesting thing boba fett did (taking over Jabbas empire) wasn’t even really shown, just talked about. From Sarlac Pitt to jabbas throne could have been an exciting series of television on its own. Was pleased when some of the side characters from the mandalorian showed up, not sure how excited I would be if BOBF characters were to show up in the next series of the mandalorian. The mods were all terrible actors . The blue cowboy guy was by far the best BOBF character. Like any classic bad guy, had cool swagger and oozing with menace. I would have been happy for him to be a recurring villain and he didn’t get nearly enough screen time. Was very disappointed to see him killed off, but this is Star Wars so that doesn’t necessarily mean anything!

The Batman was a swing and a miss for me. I get what they were trying to do and for the first half hour I was thinking it was going to be absolutely brilliant. Never really lived up to the early promise for me. By the end was a bit cheesy and went on far too long. Absolutely no need for that to be a 3 hour film. None of the supporting characters were really developed in any way, (e.g, this is Alfred, he likes puzzles, what else though? What kind of person was Gordon? I have no idea. ) The romance with cat woman was really poorly done and I’m not sure entirely necessary. For a film with so much dialogue, there wasn’t nearly enough chemistry between the characters to make the dialogue snappy or engaging. It was all exposition and to further the plot but no real interaction between the characters a lot of the time. Batman himself was good though. Should have had more penguin.

What next for Chelsea? Will this put them in risk of going out of business? At least some serious belt tightening while no income coming in. Any horrible crooked billionaire types waiting to buy them?

Surely the sensible approach is for the SFA to ask the Ukrainian F.A what we should do. If they don’t want to play, fully understandable and support that decision. If they want to play, that is fine too, give them a good welcome and the world will definitely be watching. In this scenario the result almost seems secondary. 50,000 people telling Putin to GTF would be some sight! Either way with this approach the correct decision will be reached.

Similar feeling. After the last Scottish game, this playoff was literally the most I have been looking forward to a Scotland game in decades. Under normal circumstances, this game would have been huge, and the build up tremendous. I think the atmosphere on match day would have been something special. Now, football seems so trivial compared to what the Ukrainians are going through. However , I think it should be played, even if they have a weakened team. Russia wants to wipe out Ukraine as an independent nation, we shouldn’t deny them what may be the last chance to represent their country on the international stage. Sport can be a powerful symbol

People in long foot chases who can run at full sprint speed for several minutes without slowing down or getting tired. Middle / Long distance world records would be destroyed if people could actually run like that. Then when they stop they are barely out of breath or sweaty. Once the chase is over just have a normal conversation and get on with whatever they were doing without needing a drink or a rest. Tom Cruise and the Bond Films are especially bad for this.

Amir Khan. Olympic silver at age 17 and had the world at his feet. In his prime some amazingly fast hands and was great to watch. Unfortunately also has a glass chin. Didn’t duck the big fighters but never seemed to achieve that career defining big victory either. Always seemed to lose when in with genuinely quality fighters ( happy to be corrected if this is wrong, just the overall impression I get of how his career went)

Have we had any since Jess hung up his boots that would be considered a legend? I can think of plenty of good servants and cult hero’s , but off the top of my head I can’t think of any that would deserve that accolade
