  1. You may well be right. I agree the prospects aren't good at all. But adding weight to my thinking that the SFA's goal is to have premier league fans back first, out of absolutely nowhere tonight Dundee United have sent me a 'Return to Tannadice' survey to fill in.
  2. I agree with you in that it'll probably not happen. But if it were to, it would seem to involve premier league clubs (as well as others) and be across all of England regardless of their tier system. We often seem to trail in England's wake in all this, and this could be the green light / inspiration for the SFA to make some noises up here about doing the same. Its become abundantly clear their goal is for old firm / premier league clubs to have fans back first (or certainly not weeks / months behind the lower league and non-league clubs)
  3. Sparse on detail granted, but as Scotland continues to ban parents from watching their kids' kick a ball, meanwhile in England; https://news.sky.com/story/covid-19-football-bosses-hold-positive-talks-with-government-on-getting-fans-back-into-stadiums-12134782
  4. I've been saying this for quite some time. I gain no satisfaction in (possibly) being right. I'll be keeping an eye on this week's fixtures. But whilst I'm on the subject, I think I'd be right in saying that the SFA haven't even given the NCL as much as a cursory mention. Not sure what the deal is with those clubs regarding attending in a legitimate manner
  5. Said this a while back. Whether it's be having a hospital that serves two other LAs, or sharing a border (a pretty remote border at that) with N Lanarkshire, or Falkirk's Tiering simply isn't in its' citizens' hands.
  6. But they must presumably be losing out on hospitality sales, pie hut sales, programme sales, car park sales?
  7. I think I know the facility you're on about (but will spare it's blushes by not mentioning it). Free tea and coffee in a confined indoor space as a reward for not standing, spread out in the open air. Bonkers. There's a real, ever increasingly, hardening mindset (in Scotland), that attending a match is the most dangerous thing you can do. It needs stopped. I see Dave Cormack is asking the question again about getting fans back, but with no backing from other clubs (as far as I know), and certainly not the JRG / SFA
  8. I'm generalising. But what Leitch is saying is that the summer will still have restrictions. So the end of the year? Every possibility.
  9. I was ridiculed earlier in the thread to suggesting travel restrictions would be in place for the duration of 2021. Yet here we are, in November, and already JL is suggesting the summer will still be impacted upon. With this cautious approach that we're determined to go with, the end of 2021 may very well still have restrictions. Lossiemouth (in tier 1) were wanting 100 in for their friendly game yesterday and got knocked back. Pretty much sums it up. Meanwhile didn't Northern Ireland have 1600 in for their game the other night? Bear in mind that were Belfast in Scotland, it would be in Tier 3 and you wouldn't be able to go out for your dinner after 6pm, far less attend a football match.
  10. Seems that Alloa must have employed some crazy tactics by having shots at goal and thus scoring goals in the process.
  11. If my maths is right (probably not), at present, I think we're going to qualify for the next round of the league cup. What a week it's been. #scenes
  12. If my maths is right (probably not), at present, I think we're going to qualify for the next round of the league cup. What a week it's been. #scenes Edit - hadn't realised Alloa had came back from two goals down to now lead 3-2 v Stenhousemuir, to f**k it up
  13. Yip the clubs and the SFA are well behind the curve here, seems to be taking them an age to get prepared. Heels are clearly being dragged. By who, and why I'm not quite sure?
  14. A wee update on this as I keep my beady eye on events. Inverness play at home today but will have no fans allowed despite being placed in Tier 1 nearly a fortnight ago. They have however been given approval for (from JRG?) 300 fans for their game v Raith in the league. So still no progress in exceeding the 300 pilot event amount. Lossiemouth have a friendly today had had said fans would be allowed before subsequently withdrawing that statement and giving no reason why.
  15. Sare one for the "Pubs Open; Schools Shut" Brigade
  16. I faced a simliar scenario myself a month or so ago. I, and you, aren't entitled to a test until you / we start showing symptoms. I thought then, and still do, that this is where Test & Protect could be vastly improved. Especially as we're nearly a year into this thing
  17. Something to do? Worth a couple of bob to the club maybe? Chance for another 0-0 draw?
  18. When pubs were allowed to open on 15th July, you know what? They opened on 15th July
  19. My mistake. Indeed they were away. So one from three. See what happens with ICT on Sat at home v East Fife. Presume a few highland league friendlies will now filter through as well now.
  20. Both Inverness and Elgin matches this n the league cup this week were behind closed doors, despite having been in tier 1 for over a week now. Since the move to the tiered system that's only one of the four matches that have government permission to have fans (restricted) actually have any there (And even that had the same amount as a pilot event a couple of months previous) Elgin have an u20 friendly v Strathspey on Sunday - behind closed doors (couldn't think of a better match to have a test event at if you wanted to go down that route). Look forward to the Glasgow clubs getting the same treatment when (if?) they ever reach tier 1....
  21. Glimmer of hope of getting through to the next round of the league cup. I say this having done next to no research. But there's a half chance of going through I think?
  22. I think that scenario is highly likely. Just a question of January or the summer.
  23. Speaks volumes that penalties three and four were taken by centre halfs. Seems the recent goal drought is affecting the confidence of those expected to chip in with at least some goals over the course of the season It worked out in the end, and it all honesty it doesn't exactly matter that much, but I thought it bizarre to leave our main penalty taker as number five. Usually he goes first, in an effort to get 'one-on-the-board"
  24. Thanks for this - good work. Falkirk is unfortuantely hamstrung on a couple of fronts 1) Location, bordering N Lanarkshire and easy access to both Glasgow and Edinburgh and B) The hospital that serves Stirling (big rises) is in Falkirk. Falkirk, despite the big drop in numbers, doesn't actually have its tier allocation in it's own hands.
