  1. Dunfermline / East End Park is a far better away day than Cove. Happy with that. Airdrie replacing Hamilton is very meh. Same thing really, isn't it. Dundee Utd for Dundee, that's fine. City of discovery is good for an away day and Tannadice is superior anyway. Hope County don't turn it around today. I'm sick of Firhill and will enjoy the trips to Dingwall. Going to be a tougher championship next season. I look forward to it (for now, anyway).
  2. Aye pretty much this. Went to see Frankie Boyle at the King's a few weeks back and some c**t near me wouldn't shut up. Of course Boyle absolutely ripped him to shreds and that was funny, but overall it was very annoying having things interrupted. As you say, it's not just comedy, its everywhere. Shows, pubs, public transport etc. c***s seem to have forgotten how to function like a normal person and not piss everyone else off.
  3. Reading had some positive chat around him at points solely on the basis of the attacking intent. For a while he was quite good at getting forward and could deliver a decent ball. He's never really been able to defend - and the most galing thing is how basic some of the stuff he gets consistently wrong is. His confidence is clearly completely shot, which obviously will not help. I think he'd be better off dropping a level to see how he gets on. I would be very very concerned if we go into next season with him in and around the first team.
  4. Aye that would be excellent. Getting ahead of myself I know, but if we could make the terracing steeper behind both goals at some point in the future it would make watching the games at Somerset even better.
  5. Aye I recently found out that a couple of folk I went to school with are officers of "Ayrshire's Finest" (the polis, no some sort of lodge). They were fucking mental in school. Proper wronguns. I can see why that job does attract some nutters and all of the recent findings from reviews and investigations don't really surprise me unfortunately.
  6. If rumours are to be believed we did offer him a deal. A two year deal at that. It's uncommon for a 30 year old to get more than that, especially at this level. He was good for us and I'd have rather kept him, but his form did nosedive at a couple of points (again not unusual at this level, especially for a winger) and he is getting on in his career. Could well work out for him at Starks. I hope it doesn't work whenever he plays against us though.
  7. W-0 D-1 L-1 Too inconsistent for the gulls to merit a permanent contract at the club imo.
  8. 3 year deal apparently. That's assuming it is you lot.
  9. I've been told that wherever Mullin is away to it's a 3 year deal. We offered him 2. Don't know how true it is, usually reliable though.
  10. Get all the new singings along to the portacabin party for an introduction.
  11. No crows but when I was wee there was a gull nest on the roof of my mates house or a while. Every time you went in or out of the house the fuckers would dive bomb you. I don't think the daft b*****ds ever learned that no one was trying to threaten them. Scary p***ks so they were. Not exactly a "campaign of terror", but I have been shat on by gulls on two different occasions while standing on the North Terrace. Mon the future roof.
  12. Really? Interesting. Would be as a new back up keeper to Albinson I presume as Aiden McAdams has announced he is away.
  13. Someone on the Falkirk thread saying we have made an offer to PJ Morrison.
  14. Saw Jamie Adams outside Somerset on Friday there. Was good to see the big man. It was a real shame that injuries had really started to take their toll on him. Would have been great to get a couple extra years out of him - exactly the type of player that some of our teams in recent years could have done with.
  15. Unable to find the original article with the first picture of the guy and his daughter. But there is another one here with an equally funny picture of a posing local resident. https://metro.co.uk/2016/02/23/council-builds-footpath-to-nowhere-which-says-to-be-continued-5712945/?ito=article.mweb.share.top.link

  18. I haven't seen anyone in the last few pages criticising Smith. In fact, there has been lots of posts recently about how it's exciting that plans are afoot etc with the new North Terrace etc. I'm personally very excited about where we could go in the coming years, so long as things go right on the pitch. Undoubtedly there are over reactions here and there (myself included) but it's entirely fair in my opinion after the kind of performance we showed over 180 minutes. I really dislike the sanctimonious kind of... if you don't like disappointment or getting beat go support one of the old firm or man city or "Get behind the team, buy tickets, shirts and cheer the boys on whoever is wearing the shirts " We all do follow the team, we all buy merchandise and we all want the best possible outcome from the players on the park. We're all on the same page here. It was 8-0. In what is undoubtedly our biggest game(s) for decades. Cmon mate. In the same way that supporters are entitled to throw out endless praise after a good result (I'm very guilty of this), they are equally entitled to be upset at what they see as a pathetic and embarrassing performance.
