  1. Tory policies are baked into the single market, Lisbon and the Stability and Growth Pact. The Tories and the EU both implement neoliberalism and opposing one without also confronting the other is pointless. It's amusing continually hearing how our future economy is completely dependent on EU membership but none of the negative aspects of the economy which have developed in the past 40 years have anything to do with it.
  2. Given the economic trends of our EU membership ie falling wages and rising inequality we should defo leave.
  3. It's a strange old world where you go from chugging over Pamela Anderson in Barb Wire in the 90s to thinking she is smarter and better informed than 99% of the media in 2018.
  4. Yes! I fucking love that book. A genuine forgotten classic.
  5. Joshua's jab is a big weapon that Wilder won't be able to deal with. It was noticeable how skinny both fighter's leg were. Makes you wonder if either of the two are capable of handling a more physical fight.
  6. Wilder is dire. Woeful jab, no uppercuts, no body work. Just the same punches thrown over and over. It's a shame the Povetkin fight didn't happen years ago.
  7. Fury barely landed a punch M8 You don't score for jerking your heading while being a fat troll.
  8. Fury barely landed a punch. It'll be interesting to see the stats. Did the Mexican judge award Fury every round other than the two knockdowns?
  9. I can't see anything else than Fury getting KO'd. If has been in the VADA testing then he's not going be able to repeat the Wlad performance in terms of cardio regardless of what the ching and kebabs have taken out of him.
  10. They had a hard time of it to be fair. It wasn't much fun being a Covenanter. All they wanted to do was pray and sing in a field and you end up getting bayoneted at Drumclog in the pissing rain.
  11. 17th century Scottish history is batshit mental and exhausting to follow. The shortbread tin version of history promoted in schools and the BBC barely touches the surface.
  12. A great win. Kebble was so good when he came on that you could almost say the card helped Glasgow. Jackson played the best he has for a while and ran hard into contact. Ashe, Turner, Grigg and Niko are absolutely brilliant guys to have as back ups and Cummins, McDowell and Nairn will hopefully develop into first XV players. They have scored some amazing tries recently but the one that got chopped off could have been the best. The Scarlets third try was definitely further forward. Having an ex Munster player ref this game was a joke but that's the Pr'O 14
  13. Frisbee him right back to Oz.
  14. Whoever is training Glasgow on clear outs needs to get involved with Scotland.
  15. I honestly don't think that was forward. He angled his body so it was going back.
  16. Tbf Rennie had a chat with the authorities after Saracens. Kebble with a few metres to get up pace is brilliant.
  17. The laws are obviously back in force now the big TV games are over. Brining on Kebble is a boost though.
  18. https://theintercept.com/2018/11/29/cnn-submits-to-right-wing-outrage-mob-fires-marc-lamont-due-to-his-offensive-defense-of-palestinians-at-the-un/ A brilliant Glenn Greenwald article about CNN firing a pro Palestine contributor which looks at wider issues of censorship regarding Palestine and Israel. The legal and institutional blocks on supporting Palestinian rights in France and the USA should make us more determined to continue to support them in the UK.
  19. I turned it off after the third Munster try. Earls got a hat trick after that so at least I didn't spew my indian back up watching.
  20. The EU is already enforcing unpopular and undemocratic economic policies in Greece and Italy by technocratic means. It's not a long shot to think they might need some physical enforcement over the 40 years of the Greek austerity deal. Again it's not a long shot to think that PP might have liked to have some Romanian troops when the vote was on in Catalonia or that Macron would have liked to send in Slovakian soldiers against the protesters this week.
  21. The obvious problem is something like EU army unit of Polish soldiers being sent into Catalonia or Greece to enforce government policy or restore order. Using different nationalities to oppress localities is Imperialism 101.
  22. The Scarlets locks and backrow aren't that good. Glasgow always have a few tries in them so if they can get parity up front they have a chance.
  23. 12/15 in the conference games against Munster, Ospreys and Cardiff gives Glasgow a bit of breathing space. I'm still confident that team can get the win though.
