  1. We can get loans in up until the end of February
  2. Let’s not also forget that we were sitting either 1st or 2nd in these windows you’ve mentioned. We were in a far better position then than we are now. Im sure Rennie is working hard to get players in and as BPM has just said, I’m glad we’re holding out rather than signing players for the sake of it
  3. Unfortunately in January a lot of it is out of the manager/club hands
  4. I’m glad I’m not the only one here in absolute disbelief reading that. Managing a football team is so easy according to some of our supporters
  5. I don’t think you’re wrong as such, however, I’d rather have Dixon in the middle instead of Hall or McKay
  6. Why do you see 3 at the back as being defensive? Conte got Chelsea to play it and it was so effective that even Pep tried to copy him.
  7. What actually is this! We’re playing with three centre half’s, which in itself tells you we’ll be starting games with 3 similar players. Why wouldn’t Dixon be able to play in the middle of the three? Do you need to be right footed to play in the middle?
  8. Ruth away. Obviously making space for incoming players
  9. You said I’m gagging for us to sign him, which isn’t true.
  10. . You know everything about me from a couple of posts on a forum. I’ve stated several times I wouldn’t sign him for the club but I won’t sit and listen to delusional fans who make out like there are better options (based on football performance) out there we can get. People don’t want to believe that the club have went for him that much that they’re willing to let all rational thinking fly out the window to convince themselves we haven’t. I’m a realist and as I’ve pointed out numerous times, I can understand why the club may have went for him. It doesn’t matter now as by all accounts it won’t be happening but maybe you should stop being so simple and read everything I’ve said before jumping to conclusions!
  11. Miller gave them the ball just outside our 18 yarder for the first goal.
  12. I’m assuming you haven’t read anything I’ve written. I’ve always said I can understand why the management and club would go for him. He’s a proven goalscorer and has done it for a club floating about the bottom half of this league. So if a manager comes in on a short term deal and he’s to try get us promoted then of course he’d be likely to consider him. What is hard to understand about that?
  13. Again, for us to get a striker of that quality in January is almost impossible. I can understand why they’d possibly want him as there are no strikers out there that we could attract at the same level that is proven. You may get lucky and get an unproven striker that comes in and proves he is up to the task, however, that is a rarity.
  14. We were misfiring in front of goal till the last two games, which is why they may have been interested. Maybe the management team have decided well score enough now so no need for him
  15. I’ve said this to you before but for a manager looking for results, is there a better option that Goodwillie? The guy has scored 14 goals and is currently the league top scorer for a team that aren’t up the top fighting for the title. Im not advocating we should sign him but if your job is to get the team performing better and that’s all your basing signings on, then who could the manager get that’s better?
  16. I’ve been thinking this for the past 2 weeks
  17. I’m sure they were looking at both positions anyway so may just be a change of priority for now
  18. Couldn’t agree more. I’ll believe it when I see it but he’d be a great addition if it happens
  19. I see ST Johnstone fans are speculating that Liam Craig is joining us as a player/coach
  20. I think this is why it’s all about building for next season. I’d like to see us recruiting players that we know will be strong at this level and if Rennie can get the defence sorted then we may have what looks like a team who will be challenging for the title next season. If Rennie does well then I’d say we need to keep hold of him as a new manager in the summer isn’t why we need.
  21. You’ve hit the nail on the head. If we don’t make reasonable strides before the end of the season then season tickets will drop drastically, which could then make our budget lower for next season. We should be looking to improve where we can this window so that we’re not trying to replace a full squad in the summer again
  22. I’m not being funny but Dumbarton just beat them after getting pumped off us. Even if we don’t have any new faces I’d expect us to get the win on Saturday* *I know this will come back to bite me!
  23. The statement said we’d need to go up this season or next otherwise we wouldn’t remain full time. I’m assuming any player they sign in this window will be looking into next season as well
