  1. I really don’t see how this has helped your argument
  2. Because ATS was signed for his goal scoring prowess
  3. Can’t believe some were saying we didn’t need another striker after we put 6 past the mighty Dumbarton last week
  4. He did it for Arbroath tv as a farewell interview. Wouldn’t get too upset about it
  5. January is a difficult month and It’s likely with the winter break being brought forward in the top division that it’s slowed things down. Just need to hope deals start to be confirmed
  6. None have unsettled me as such. I’m just saying I’m a little concerned that we are 6 weeks into a new dawn and 2 board members have stepped down. I’m by no means trying to say it isn’t working, but I expected to have some sort of continuity till things were up and running.
  7. Do one mate! I’m nowhere near a negative person and unlike a lot on here I’m always willing to give managers and players a chance before writing them off. My point is we’re trying to get a settled board to take the club forward yet, we’ve had two step down this week. I’ll judge on how things behind the scenes are going when I see positive results coming out the club. I’m not going to just assume things are going great because we have “good guys” involved.
  8. I have more concern about the comings and goings on the board. I don’t believe for 1 minute the reasoning given on the statements. I really hope the in house fighting hasn’t started already
  9. I’d argue the exact opposite. Sheerin wanted to play a certain way that didn’t suit Ruth. I think he’ll have a better chance of showing what he can do in our new system and learning from Miller
  10. Background? The guy ran the fourth valley academy
  11. I’d heard a rumour about Fergus leaving. Supposedly it’s because he’s against us signing Goodwillie
  12. Scottish Parliament confirmed we are signing Scott Fox? We are box office bairns
  13. Can I just say I’m not having a go at this. I’m merely pointing out that ST holders are stakeholders within the club and considering we have 2,500, the 300 from the FSS is a very small group for a vote to be taken into consideration. At the same time you could argue that if the majority of the 22 patrons were in favour of signing him then that is a minuscule number, however, they have the same say as the FSS. In all honesty this is a very unusual thing to deal with and my point is how do you get the true feeling from the fan base. I don’t think the numbers from the FSS vote are as against it as I’d probably like to see
  14. Although this is true, my main issue with this is what about all the season ticket holders who may have an opposite opinion. Does someone paying £120 a year into the FSS deserve a say over someone paying £300 a year for a season ticket? I understand why this was done and this is a very difficult situation, but that is a very small number of fans.
  15. If we did sign DG then I doubt he’d be a bench warmer but that makes more sense to me now
  16. The thing with Morrison is defenders will not want him getting the ball and running at them, therefore, they will follow him everywhere to stop it but this just opens gaps for others
  17. Is this serious? “There is no point in having 2 similar type of players vying for this one position”, I would argue that’s exactly what you want. You even said yourself you need to keep your fingers crossed that Dowds doesn’t get injured
  18. Totally agree with this. I remember arguing in the summer that Keena is a goalscorer and if he is playing in a team that creates chances then he’ll score goals. I was also a fan of Dowds, however, too many fans judge a striker on how many goals they scored so he was always going to be slagged by some
  19. Anyone who now thinks we don’t need reinforcements up top because of Dowds performance yesterday needs their head looked at. We need another striker in regardless. If Dowds form drops or he gets injured we will be back to square 1. I agree that defence and centre midfield is a priority but I’m sure all three positions will be looked at.
  20. I wouldn’t look too much into his interview. He probably is a bit gutted to be back as he was playing great at an Arbroath team who were flying high at the top of the championship. He now finds himself at a lower half league 1 team where employees at the club completely disrespected him. I’m sure Rennie will get him on side and if the performances are there he will feel the love and play with a smile on his face.
  21. I posted a couple of months ago at how clueless Sheerin was because Dowds was clearly the only contracted player we have that could play the one man up top effectively
