  1. C’mon mate, we know how clinical he is when clean through on goal but it was still a clear red card, as Lee Bullen confirmed. On a more positive note for our country cousins, Kerr McInroy looks like a really good player. Head & shoulders above his teammates last night . Think he fancies a shot in the Premier league next season?
  2. Not really true. Quite often we decide to be totally shite in the first half and only play the second to mix it up a bit - Pars & Raith home league games recently for example. Either way, it’s proved a useful tactic to be top of the league right now, while keeping it interesting for everyone else. It wouldn’t really be fair if we were at it for 90mins now would it?
  3. Good news mate, there was a tragedy after last month’s game outside the stadium, glad it wasn’t repeated
  4. Todays Arbroath or Partick, or the ones who were good earlier in the season? Arbroath have 1 win in 6 now, don’t you concern yourself Ayrshire’s finest - the form team in the league
  5. Natural order restored. You had a good month of gloating lads, now back in your lane #levels
  6. If he’d kept the fans onside instead of baiting and sarcastically gesturing to them he maybe would’ve got his wish. No way back once he’d alienated the very people he was there to provide success for (along with the board). Anyway, we’ve definitely turned a corner with largely the same starting eleven as he had available with a better coaching staff, and a guy who just seems to “get” Killie. The additions of Taylor & Lafferty have provided experience and quality compared to McGowan & Shaw.
  7. I get the feeling it’s got to the point where this result is now more important to Killie than Raith. Rovers may want to get this season over asap and if ends in a 3rd or 4th place finish it would be a big bonus. Killie need to stop tripping over their own feet, in the league that no one seems determined to go out & win! Lafferty with the bit between his teeth now, has the quality to see us to 3pts.
  8. Yeah we’re really embarrassed at the state of our stadium when compared to the state of the art offering in South Ayrshire. The White Hart Lane of the North as nobody ever called it. Dear oh dear, if we’re having tough times for the state of our stadium, Ayr are the people to model improvements on
  9. Never mind the infantile tit for tat bollox, just get some tickets bought for Weds night to create an atmosphere at the derby. Both clubs lobbied to have it played in front of fans hence the rearranged date after restrictions lifted - I don’t think they meant 95% home fans!
  10. It kind of reminds me of the last season we enjoyed under Sir Steve of Clarkeville. Went into each game without fear and the team was set up to deliver points every week. It was only after the window closed the big bad two stretched away after we’d lost a couple of big players, but we were still totally merited in finishing 3rd. I’m hoping this is what happens for Arbroath (with us being the big bad 1 ahead of them obviously) and the new recruitment should definitely give us an edge as the season progresses. We’ve a huge week ahead with 2 home games against A*r & the Pars, and a positive result tomorrow night added to beating Caley last Sat could see us stretch our legs at the top.
  11. That’s some amount of fresh impetus from Ayrshire’s finest in the space of 4 weeks! We probably need to ensure the squad is trimmed down though with loans out the way, or there’s a lot of players sitting in the stand each week. A great transfer window (& beyond) from Ayrshire’s finest.
  12. There’s nothing legally of course to stop him making a career out of professional football - as long as enablers like Raith’s board & manager are willing to employ him. Without the offer of employment, he’s still a professional footballer - just an unemployed one. I’m staggered they thought this was a sensible solution to a faltering promotion bid. Has he been asked to help out coaching the ladies team yet does anyone know? I definitely won’t pay Raith for a ticket or a stream of our next away fixture(s) as indirectly, like or not that would be me enabling them to pay the convicted rapist who has shown no remorse. Hopefully my fellow Killie fans and those of all other clubs do likewise. Some things are more important than football.
  13. I agree. Looks like you’ve a couple of first choices missing plus I get the feeling Killie have strengthened well and are starting to find their feet with McInnes. Caley no doubt would be happy with a point, we are looking for a good win to get the momentum building at long last.
  14. Time we finally turned up in the league for a crunch game. First half of the season was lamentably bad in these fixtures, I expect a completely different beast for the second half. Recruitment very good so far, Caley look a wee bit lost at present, so we need to take advantage.
  15. The clubs that voted to continue took the 100% guaranteed chance they would playing in front of 500 ST holders with next to no income from these games bar a little hospitality return. The four clubs who voted to pause gave themselves a chance (size unknown but a chance) to play in front of unrestricted crowds - most of whom had already paid for ST’s last summer. The league is due to finish on Friday 29th April, then the playoffs commence. Between the beginning of Feb and then, there’s zero midweek fixture cards allocated bar a few rearranged games due to Covid/fog/waterlogged pitches round about Xmas. To claim fixture congestion is utter pish. The lack of will by those 6 teams to at least try and accommodate their own fans at later dated fixtures is pathetic when anyone can see there was plenty of scope in the lower league calendar to pause and resume. Hell mend them.
  16. “H*ns without the bus fare” is right up there with “living rent-free in your head” sad teenage patter. Its fair to say for the all too brief yet glorious Steve Clarke period no wins were more satisfying for Killie fans than those against them. It pissed them off so much they still have a genuine anger/annoyance toward Ayrshire’s finest for pumping them with regularity. And it was magic!
  17. Strength of squad sets Killie apart from the rest of league. It might not be a popular opinion - esp for you lads understandably, but is a reality that we can sustain more injuries/suspensions and still put a good team on the park. How many other sides in the league would have McGinn, Robinson, Lyons, Hodson, Stokes & Burke either not starting or even in the squad and still field a strong 11? Over the course of a season that should see us win this league without too much drama. It’s also true to say we haven’t exactly lit it up in any game yet are sitting top 1/3rd of the way through. The wind & rain ruined the game last night but as second half wore on seemed to take the steam right out of Utd. Maybe a difference in fitness or just defending for much of the second half emptied their tank. You do look way short of goals - probably due to not having much of a midfield threat. Why not play 2 up top and be more direct playing off Adeloye?
  18. They’ll count that as two shots on target probably. Big Zach was however on hand to deal with them effortlessly, just like the previous 90 mins
  19. If ICT play with only two centrally they could be in for a long afternoon. McGinn, Alston & Polworth have been very good so far and as a team we seem to get better the longer the game goes. Robinson now fit & firing gives us more chance of scoring and the defence has been solid so far. Should be a good game against a team likely to challenge & stay the course this season.
  20. Fundamentally though, the home strip is not “dark”, but a glorious new version of the famous blue and white stripes. So having a navy away strip is completely different. We should have worn our home kit at Palmerston.
