So predictable. It's an Edinburgh derby, win the battle and exploit the opposition's weaknesses ruthlessly. We never looked like doing either and hearts were the best I've seen them in a long while. Fair play to stendel, they looked organised and incredibly fit. Losing a midfield battle to damour and bozanic is an utter riddy.

Strangely this game gives me the shivers more than that other one these days.

I hadn't considered this but I think that may be the real difference. If they're still trying to play that press of theres then Hibs' pace could cause a bit of indecision and space which we (fingers crossed) have the players to take advantage of.

We're the better team, playing good football but still looking leaky. They're mince but have a lot to play for. Even with their team being full of shitebags I've a bad feeling about this one. Plus I'm going and I'm pretty much a Jonah at this point.

That's Ashton left Sale at short notice, with Cammy Redpath already having departed in the last couple of weeks (albeit for a fee) at the start of a five-year contract. Next big salary cap scandal? They've not the biggest squad but a lot of full internationals and experienced guys who won't be playing for pennies in there.

League expansion is always a tricky one as there is obviously no way of guaranteeing, especially in the batshit world of Scottish football, that the likely benefits would come to pass. Add in the relatively low number of full time clubs and there's the potential for a ring fencing of the top league by proxy. Not to say that would be much different from the status quo. The less meaningful games argument is a bit of a red herring though, as less games against teams around you would surely make those more meaningful. If you have to overhaul 5 points on a team and know you won't play them again after February would that not make that game more meaningful? Less immediate pressure of relegation would also surely encourage more youngsters being properly integrated as opposed to occasionally chucked in as is the case for most teams at the moment.
