  1. It didn't happen overnight though.
  2. Aye. Seems like the hostage chat has gone now they realise the position he's in. Barring injury or a major drop of form he'll be in the Euros squad. He's no chance if he picks up a season ending 'injury'. Good for Motherwell.
  3. The argument wasn't over who was the better player. I'd have Fletcher ahead of Carrick in the EPL every day. Carrick was a far better passer of the ball though.
  4. I can't see Vardy being replaced comfortably. Certainly not at a profit.
  5. That is probably fair. If he's playing CM with Brown then it probably should be him taking the onus. the alternative being if you need both of them to play then you change your system to suit.
  6. Several months ago I said he needed a loan deal for at least this season. I'm still of that opinion.
  7. Fletcher played the water carrier role at Man Utd. Tremendously hard worker and first name on the team sheet for big games. His job was to win the ball and give it to the more creative players. He was also brilliant playing from box to box. A large percentage of Scotland supporters expected him to suddenly turn in to a playmaker for Scotland because he plays for Man Utd. Clowns.
  8. That's it. The way they are carrying on they'll be remembered as the men who failed to get 10. 9 titles in a row is still a great achievement, financial advantage or not.
  9. Not going to quote a million posts there but I agree with @Dons_1988 that recruitment is the biggest issue. If Derek just wants to be a direct team then sign players to do that. If he wants to implement the nice football we play at the beginning of most seasons then sign players to do that. Instead you end up with some weird set up where you have Dylan McGeouch playing 5 one twos with a centre half before the ball goes long to Cosgrove and there's no support because the rest of the team are 40 yards away. Most on here probably won't agree but for me the club should be going down the actual Director of Football route.
  10. Is there any particular reason why Brown is choosing this hill to ruin his legacy on? Is it just respect for Lennon? https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/scott-brown-claims-neil-lennons-23348911
  11. It's worse than that. He complained about being racially abused by a Celtic loanee. Their clubs reaction was terrible.
  12. No idea why Celtic fans are raging on twitter about this. Fantastic bit of business tbh.
  13. If we can get him out in the summer for £1m then we've down well tbf. And for once the club did try to sell the player at his max value. He just didn't want to go
  14. With the money spent to take Julien to Dubai I'm relatively certain they could have used that money to organise a fully qualified and respected physio to give him assistance for the week they were away.
  15. Well no. the choice was don't play the season or play the season with protocols in place. As far as I can see no protocols have been changed but penalties for breaking these protocols were getting heavier until Celtic had a major breach. Here's what your manager said about the situation back in August (before Bolingoli made a c**t of it): Who's the one moving the goal posts here?
  16. The alternative was not to play the season. I'm sure they'd have enjoyed that.
  17. As much as I'd love to see it, this one was several years in the making and that's made it much better than it would have been.
  18. He had a go at us at the time. https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/18637443.neil-lennon-calls-celtic-players-standard-bearers-aberdeen-coronavirus-outbreak/
  19. No. I heard my wife come home and didn't want her to catch me with the youngests bedsheet
  20. We had far too many midfielders at the beginning of the season. If it came down to one or the other then I think the club made the correct choice with McCrorie.
