  1. Mmm, is it not a Unionist thing to look backwards? It's the looking back to some mythical Golden Age that seemed to be the driving force for Brexit.
  2. The bit I've put in bold certainly worked for the Brexit debacle and that is what the Tory Party seems to exist for, but I don't see a Falklands moment happening any time soon. I doubt many will he forgetting his failings.
  3. His next book's going to be Captain Corblimey's Mangled Isle.
  4. Well, I'm beginning to think that celebrity endorsed "don't leave, we love you" might not happen this time. Time to cast Scotland adrift, says Captain Corelli author Louis de Bernières
  5. You could check the documentary called London Calling. It's on YouTube.
  6. You voted for the clusterfuck that is unfolding because of an ambassador? But well done in voting Leave in 2016 knowing Europe would take longer in the vaccination programme!
  7. Genuinely interested to hear what it means for you.
  8. And what's with the multi-coloured cans that feel like they're made out of cheap tinfoil? An advertiser's wet dream, imo.
  9. Probably trying to get her a job writing for a newspaper like Gove and Vine did for their daughter. Well, that and keeping his name in the spotlight. The odious shit of a man.
  10. I'm looking forward to the day Trump is saying his classic lines and doing his dance moves outside Trump Towers but now living on the street, penniless, and ranting 'I used to live here, you know'.
  11. That's some lion. Cannae even come first in a race with a kiwi.
  12. You know that word association game? If somebody said 'global pandemic' to me I doubt the first thing I'd come back with would be 'international travel'.
  13. Of course not, discussion is welcomed. Terms like fuhrer, not so much.
  14. 15 minutes or less until somebody puts the fire out?
  15. The pie shop at Firs Park was great. The pies needed a drain valve to let the grease out but strangely one was never enough.
  16. Currently playing Robin Trower's For Earth Below. A great album and brilliant guitar work but James Dewar's vocals steal the show. Has to be right up there in any list of top rock vocalists.
  17. I agree with most of what you've posted but I don't think it does legitimise Trump, who I think you mean by "the scum". Used by him it's a sign of him losing the argument, the inability to debate, but ultimately a bullying tactic of someone with power who can close down questions he doesn't like. Nobody should allow it to be the final words of any discussion. Maybe it should be called Trumpian Fake News. Or, pile o' pish.
  18. The Alamo? Probably going to say that the US won that battle biggly, just like he won the election, and that Mexicans most definitely didn't storm the walls.
  19. Except you'd still get the idiots like the couple I passed in Tesco - a trolley each. She pushed the empty one, left it in the middle of the aisle then carried items past me to hand them to her partner. Sure there was a good reason but I was too busy crashing my way past the abandoned trolley. Maybe should have put this in Petty Things thread.
  20. And refuse to admit that if Scotland votes Yes and Salmond and Sturgeon retire from frontline politics, Scotland will still be independent.
