  1. Agreed, what's happened to mighty rookie cookie? I recall a couple of seasons back the "battle of midlothian" between Penicuik and Bonnyrigg was a nail-biting encounter with both sides battling for the top spot, we have all seen how well Bonnyrigg has successfully progressed since those days, Tranent have now kicked on and leapfrogged Penicuik, it looks like Linlithgow will be the next ones to progress upwards. whats happened?
  2. This is going to be a real tasty second half of the season with things so tight at the top and at the bottom. Anyone want to cast predictions? i'll go out on a limb here and say that as it stands at the top, that for me is how it will finish, with NITTEN, DUNBAR & GLENROTHES all gaining promotion. At the bottom i think WHITEHILL, KENNOWAY (and it pains me to say) COLDSTREAM are for the drop.
  3. Haddington are a stuffy team to break down so credit going there and coming away with points, i have to say however i felt that broxburn would be up there this season, still a long way to go but in my opinion i felt with the money they spent over the summer that they would have been punching at the top at this stage. Tough game this weekend away to lothian who are fighting to get out the bottom three.
  4. Massive game this weekend for them, with them drawing up there against kennoway recently, both sides will be thinking this is a winnable tie. Looking at the table i cant see who whitehill will beat apart from potentially kennoway in that league. The new manager hasn't had the desired impact he maybe wanted, some will say give him time but too much time and they will be down before they know it. Fitbaws a funny old game.
  5. Let me flip that, how could he get the Leith job after doing so shit at Berwick and Camelon?
  6. Kens how to get promoted .... Could he have maybe have shown someone at Camelon that string to his bow then? He couldn't keep them in the premier, so one thing he does "ken" is how to get relegated, that's both Berwick and Camelon hes seen relegated now. Now im not a fan of Johnny due to his actions at Berwick, but in saying that its never nice to see a manager sacked. I wish him all the best in the future but i certainly wouldn't want him manager at my club anytime soon.
  7. Saturdays game should be an interesting encounter with Jack Lynch returning back to play against his old club Camelon. With both teams fighting at the bottom of the table, a win for Johnny Harvey's men would see them leapfrog Whitehill and that would make things juicy, results depending whitehill could finish the weekend in the relegation zone, alternatively, a win for whitehill would see them hit double figures and see jacks first win for the club. Has a draw written all over it
  8. Are former / current Preston Athletic players really whitehills answer?, its been a while since ive been at ferguson park but surely the club are striving to be back up in the premier.
  9. I agree, I said before the season started that i though Broxburn would be up there challenging at the top end with the money they have invested to bring in new faces, they are certainly not reaching the heights they should. Swifts just know how to battle and get something, with their main man up top its an effective mix, ive been impressed with both them and crossgates this season so far.
  10. As said in my last post I was happy to draw a line under things and move on, but just quickly….. 1. I never mention your FULL NAME. And I would hardly say I do “all I can” to do so, calm down. 2. For someone who (in your own words) has not been at Olivebank for over a year now. How can you possibly comment in a personal manor about the team / manager in any shape or form. 3. And finally, if I’m now the 3rd person, then maybe a good look in the mirror is required. mon the burgh
  11. Just because im nosey I text my nephew and asked who “brian” was aka Casey Jones and it seems mr pacey you also have a love for a certain other East Lothian side this season, ironically Joes ex-club Haddington and you say it’s not personal !! some die hard mussy fan you are mate. He also told me quite a few other home truths that I certainly won’t be repeating on here but I will say this much that it’s very ironic you saying that its the manager who is disliked at Olivebank. Glass windows and all that. To draw a line under this, enjoy your football season Brian, whoever it maybe you are following, I don’t preach to be a burgh fan but I always like to see them do well. I’ll be sure to introduce myself next time I make it along to Olivebank, if you’re there that is of course. Mon the Burgh.
  12. In that case I do hope you have made your feelings very clear to the clubs committee as opposed to an open forum. I don’t think it’s very fair you speaking on behalf of other supporters too. Again it seems very personal. I haven’t been to olivebank in a while since my nephew stopped playing for the burgh but I always like to keep an eye out on their results.
  13. Another defeat again today, what’s going on?
  14. Gone hot to warm !!! So you are now starting to slightly warm to the manager now that your teams winning. I’m sure the next time things don’t go your way you will be right back down his neck, Just support the guy. I’ve read your posts and I’d say it sounds like a personal thing. you call yourself a burgh fan. If this is a fan I’d hate to be your enemy.
  15. Casey Jones, I take it that’s your argument gone cold then?
  16. I agree, this should be a very good league next season, A few sides in there will be pushing for the league title and promotion spots
  17. Broxburn doing some big business this season, a few big characters and personalities in there with great ability.
  18. Good to see a bit of history re-instated here with this one, any other changes happening there or just the clubs name? i.e - Players / management / committee etc? I think they finished rock bottom of their league, may need more than just a change in the clubs name to succeed going forward.
  19. Did Tynecastle FC once play here? what is their situation with meggetland?
  20. Having followed Berwick the season JH was in charge, i can tell you right now that it doesn't matter how good your playing squad is, if they don't respect the manager then you'll soon find yourself in an extremely difficult position. Now, to be honest, i am not in the know enough to say that this is whats happened at Camelon, but there are an awful lot of similarities. once the dressing room has been lost, Its not an easy thing to regain.
  21. EOS website says Wendesday the 30th of March, 7:30pm kick off. Should be a good one that.
  22. H.O.B have really kicked on, great result for them tonight. What a cracking end to the season we are going to have.
  23. Just wondering if anyone on here can clear up if there is any truth in the 2x recent Tranent rumours doing the rounds. 1 - Mr MPACT has walked away? 2 - Callum Elliott poised to take the Edinburgh City job?
