TJ still to get a mention on here a decade from now.
Only popped into my head as one of the ideas mentioned at the time might have worked…
North, East and West at tier 5 really should have happened. After that integration got binned, we’ve ended up with a Frankenstein’s monster that involves being at the mercy of the Lowland League. When it was brought up again it was already too late
It will be “interesting” knowing what we know now, to see what might have happened… oh, just me then

No comment but I’ve had my fun! Beats playing FM and spending months following some other random algorithm. This didn’t take as long as it looks and cured a bout of insomnia so hopefully will be a while before I can be arsed doing it again.

With around half the league games played and the weather slowing the pace down, I fancied answering something that has come up now and again.
"How long will it take until everyone in the pyrimid finds their level"
Using the tables/form as they stand NOW this season, then strictly following the ranking system compiled by @mcruicat https://scotscores.theroonba.com/ (not perfect but very bloody close!) and rolling through the seasons. There are a few 'mistakes', some deliberate but nothing that really affects the results... I think! Colts teams were completely ommited, you can argue about whether University of Stirling and Stirling University are the same team or whatever is going on at Cali Braves/Edusport but everyone else is out.
What surprises were there?
SpoilerNext season's Highland League Relegation Playoff was a hilarious accident. Renamed "The Unflushable Jobby Final"
Potentially 2 being relegated from the Lowland League this season!
Where are the bottlenecks?
SpoilerProbably suited Brora anyway...
When will the WoS dominate the Lowland League? Or will they?
SpoilerWill they be there long enough to congregate?
Do I need a hobby?
SpoilerSo wait... You don't want to see one with the leagues split differently (how they would be in an "ideal" world) to split them more evenly, adding the amateur teams into the system (if I can be arsed) then starting it using the positions of teams on the day TJ mentioned golden bogs???
Anyway, sit tight and enjoy...

Interesting, yet not massively surprising to see Tranent in 2nd in the LL.
Linlithgow are probably the last of the East teams capable of doing what Tranent (and Bo'ness to a lesser extent) have done. Jeanfield and Penicuik have potential to be promoted but don't have the type of support or backing as these teams.
Although, even as a Penicuik boy, Jeanfield are by FAR the best footballing team in the East if you want to watch as a neutral. They have (or at least did have) a few of the Scotland Futsal team in their squad so they can burst into some really silky stuff at times!
Apart from that, there's around 10 West teams that will go up and establish themselves before much changes in the east tbh

Bad enough with the 4 extra games with the O/F now got another 2 with the addition of Hearts. It’s ridiculous at this time of year especially over the festive season. Those that voted to continue with the O/F and then add Hearts to the mix have a look in the mirror and still say it’s a good idea.
But you will have benefitted from all that extra sponsor money and prestige you were promised by having the Colts involved...
You were also promised the extra media attention for all teams in the league...
While we are at it, where are the 2 con-men (Fraser and Clarke) now? Awfly quiet coincidering they preached so hard at bringing the Colts in, then all disappeared as soon as the deal was done

Sort of a Stockholm Syndrome
Actually, my brother telt me I was a Hertz fan, and that was it - at the time, cats like Donald Ford, Drew Busby, Jim Cruickshank, Donald Park, Rab Prentice, Cammy Fraser, Willie Gibson, Derek O'Connor, Frank Liddell, and a young Eammon Bannon made it an attractive proposition in spite of the fact that they were hopeless collectively.
I have
someno regrets.I was the same but it was my grandda who told me “we are all Jambos”, and the squad was similar. Great names but after the 1992 heroics we were a bit of a shambles.
Around the same time I remember watching the results on teletext, 0-1 to Falkirk (1994?) and almost guaranteed relegation. Can’t remember how we avoided it but something felt right (I love an underdog) and that was that until Vlad and changes in my priorities. We stopped being the underdog, I moved north and my wee team were flying…
The same season as the Hearts escape, my grandparents moved up north. My first ever league game was actually Ross County 2-0 Queens Park, there’s a pic somewhere with me at 7 in full kit, curly hair in Dingwall high street and I can still name the starting 11 so ‘wee team found’.
Wasn’t sure how I’d feel with them both being in the same league but I soon found out standing in the Jail End one night trying to stifle a celebration as Hearts went 1 up… lucky some of the lads I was with were ‘secret’ Jambos too so it was all good but was a weird game for us
HIGHS: Watching the 1998 final win and heading down Gorgie with my Granddad to see the cup
1st Hampden visit 2-1 vs Aberdeen in 1996
2-1 semi against Hibs in 2006
County destroying Celtic in the semi at Hampden and the reaction of the Celtic fan afterwards
The absolute carnage in the Jail End when Scott Boyd headed Hibs out in the 14th min of injury time of the replay on that cup run
LOWS: none, it’s all the lows of supporting the dodgy teams that make the highs MUCH better

Have Athletic got Ferry Brae permenatly now? It's always had potential for a club so set roots there just remember, NO SWEARING!
Perfectly good ground still sitting in Muir doing not much is a shame though

That's where the argument fell down. You can't slag off refs when you're throwing apostrophes into plurals...
Anyway, I bet the OP would be better than Collina if he ever bothered to try

I’ve started putting on a wee bet at McBookie so watch my scores start to plummet!
I've not hit a thing all season, usually get a couple by now. Port Glasgow screwed me out a big one a couple of weeks ago and I've been in a huff since with it!

Just scrap the LL and expand L2...
18 teams in L2 (so a bit more secure) with 3 automatic relegations (so it isn't), the winners of the HL, EoS prem and WoS prem all go up
Then a 4 way Playoff with the winners of SOS and the 2nd placed teams in EoS, WoS and HL with the winner playing 4th bottom of L2 for the final place.
Top few teams of the current LL can go up now and the other can go into their relevant regional leagues but still at tier 5

The whole thing is clearly nonsense, but given that their claim is based around the suggestion Doncaster itself IS part of Scotland, your point isn't directly relevant. Of course it may require that Westminster first declare whatever treaty it was valid and that Doncaster is part of Scotland first. We all know that's not happening.
I can't imagine the Scottish Parliament wants to hang it's hat on falling out with Westminster over the ownership of Doncaster either.

2028/29 - Where will we be?
in West of Scotland Football League
Posted
If it doesn’t achieve anything else, it at least shows how the relegation works in the different leagues and how the teams coming down from above affect the lower leagues.
Looks like only 2 down from the west leagues for most of the next few seasons anyway if all goes to form and 4 down for the east a lot of the time
