Another thread ruined by tiresome pyramid talk by same old culprits.

    Agm thread now live

For junior fans ran by junior fans edging closer to 200 members in less than 3 days cheers

More conversation and debate (the point of having a forum!) in this thread in the last half an hour than their has been in 4 days over on the other one...:whistle

  2. See this is what boils my piss... Why weren’t you and the rest of the teams across there not sat down in a room full of coffee and pizza, then told to sort it out! You are the ones with the knowledge and experience after all!

I’ll let you get away now but thank you for being so honest, it’s hardly cleared anything up but all the best. I hope it works out for you in the end

Personally no we are in Fife and it would be preferable to stay in a league set up that our geography dictates.

Newburgh have moved leagues a few times and it unsettled the management and squad.

The whole HL - LL needs to be looked at as the Tayside clubs are split with some in HL and a few in LL that isnt healthy as kids coming through the age group system should , in my opinion, all have the same pathway.

If regionialisation was to dictate the split it would make more sense.

I couldn’t agree more, it should’ve been sorted years ago... it’s put club like yourself and the Taysiders in an impossible position except to sit tight and hope to f**k it works out ok, which won’t be helping at grassroots.

I’m just curious, you see I have ‘the plan’ but Burnie Man has banned me bringing it out! Yourselves, the Perth 2 and Tayport had to have * next to them because I genuinely couldn’t work out what would work out of you all. Like you say, you jump ship tomorrow and you have Tweedmouth, Coldstream and Hawick to get down to, out of the fire n all that

Some teams (ie the HL posse, etc), haven’t helped matters at all and it’s clubs like yours that will ultimately suffer worst

We are comfortable in the knowledge that if the set up we are currently in was no longer available to us we have all that is required for entry to EOS as it stands.

That said we would have no intention of moving until there was no other option open to us.

I am a firm believer that every club finds it's own level and ours is currently the lowest level in East Region junior football.

We have a season ahead where we will try our best to reach the league above us in a sustainable level that suits our club financially and logistically.

I will be honest and say that everything I have heard of the EOS league is positive but we are not in a position where it attracts us as a club at the moment.

Fair enough, that’s why I asked. Out of all the teams involved, you guys are probably in the hardest position. You’ve no choice if you decide to move but to go East, but even I can see that doing that will achieve absolutely nothing (at first) with where you are located.

Would you consider going north if it was an option? Let’s face it, you’ll not be in the highland league positions, so knowing that Aberdeenshire/Tayside would be the furthest away day... it doesn’t look that bad if that section of tier 6-7 got sorted properly.

Do you mean what is Newburgh preference if there is an amalgamation of the two assc?

Either the club as a whole, or your personal preference, what’s being said in the clubhouse after a few scoops?

Has it even been seriously discussed yet? I’m only probing because you are in a very inbetweeny situation that’s quite unique and after Kinnoull jumping last week, it might have woken a few folk up to what might be if nothing is planned now

No more brown paper envelopes and no more dodgy Lothian referees. I can see them being a little flustered, tread carefully or a relegation dog fight could be on the cards

I hope and think they will be ok, but you are dead right.

There will be at least 2 maybe more ALMIGHTY meltdowns coming out of NDP next season when they realise they ain’t a big dog anymore... it will be biblical, and I will be absolutely pishing myself while I read it unfolding, but they will eventually get over it and have a decent season ;)

Just interested in finding a way forward - no agenda hidden or otherwise..

So, you can whisper it, we promise we’ll not tell anyone. I’m choking to know what your thoughts are...

Would u prefer the EoS setup over the NoS/Tayside? Or are you hedging your bets just now, because it’s looking like entry at EoS Div 1 or even 2 if you don’t get on with it soon

To save me trawling through every forum - can you enlighten me to the answer that has been provided previously to this question please

More importantly, do you guys even know what league you’re going to be in next season. Noises are that you might be going into the North section...

And, given the choice, would you prefer to be playing Dundee/Aberdeenshire teams, or Lothian and Borders team? We’ve no had a Newburgh member on yet!

Relatively new to the Juniors, so forgive the possibly silly question.

Can't find anything regarding fixtures in the west yet but a very clubs seem to know their schedules - have the fixtures been released for the west region? And if not any idea when they will be?

Cheers, don’t think I could’ve managed that one!

As for fixtures, as soon as they are released, there will be a separate thread for them no doubt. Some teams have only just finished this season, I know some pre-season games have been organised

Superbigal has had a poor couple of weeks , since "glenrothesgate" his so called raison d'etre  as the forums devils advocate on pyramid affairs has been blown apart and he has been shown up to be the larry lickspittle he really is.

He’s just nursing his confidence a bit, he’ll be back to his normal self once pre-season starts

I don't know how you guys have the patience to deal with these junior luddite gonks day after day after day...

I suppose it is a case of "for the greater good" but jeezo. I suppose it's an entertaining diversion from my own club's chaos.

Honestly mate it’s been hilarious all season, the best thread got deleted as well. Get yourself settled because it gets much better than this. Superbigal is just having one of his awkward days, he’s nae bother compared to some though

You must be at the wind up I told you at the fucking time the 3 conferences was for 1 season. Ersjfa are proposing to do it forever. Go and bury your head in the sand

I really felt ya there!

We will all be running about with a wee flat-spot in the middle of our foreheads by the start of next season...

    Now, don't get upset, Burnie.

It would seem that all your efforts to destroy the 'Juniors' and TJ have failed.

From what I can gather, the clubs accepted that the 'done deal' had been promised and then later withdrawn by the cowardly SFA. It would seem that they are backing away from promoting the Pyramid due to pressure from the SPFL clubs who are fearful of their own positions of power being eroded due to an influx of more licensed clubs than they anticipated. Hence the reason behind making the licence harder to achieve and reducing the power of that license to an 'Associate Membership' until the Lowland League. Thus insuring that with only 16 LL clubs, they wont be able to force any unwanted change onto to SPFL. (ie- automatic relegation)

At the AGM a report was given regarding the 'Pyramid' negotiations and not one question was raised from that report. It seems that the clubs are happy to leave the future of the Pyramid talks in the hands of their Management and TJ because they have every faith that these men are solely interested in securing the best possible outcome for the clubs in their care.

Think you need to go and have a lie down, that’s nearly as desperate as what we’ve just heard from the 3 amigos over the last 2 days

I notice he also says they're relying on the SJFA to get the WRJFA in the pyramid.  Amazes me the patience the West teams have for the SJFA there's glaciers that move faster than the SJFA

I think it’ll get things rolling at least, they’ve put a lot of money into the plan. If the SJFA don’t move soon, they will (hopefully) take matters into their own hands and get groundwork for a WoS league  underway. At least it positive vibes though

Can’t here many west junior teams banging the door to get in at any level , think they like what they have so let them crack on imo and go forward with teams that are in already

Kilwinning had there AGM, they are gearing up for a license by what has been posted by wow-wee

Genuinely glad to hear the dust seems to have settled after ground move and the meeting well attended so hopefully all is well over there again.

  17. You’ve got a brilliant keeper there in Barclay, I’m surprised he isn’t playing a couple of leagues higher but, with all keepers, it’s essential to be happy at the club and he obviously is at Shire.

Nothing wrong imo having the young lad as No.2 and throwing him in the deep end when called upon. I refer thee to Iker Casillas and David Marshall, didn’t do them any harm

Well you surely didn't expect them to walk all the way did you?

And just keep insulting the Junior fans, that's sure to get them on your side

You and your 2 mates are already doing a grand job at insulting the “Juniors” (whatever that means?!) all by yourselves today!

Apart from the terrible tit-for-tat I’ve read on this forum (the Darvel thread, the deleted one and the new one, never fail to highlight this!), I never really had a problem... I actually sympathised a little as I almost understood your argument, but the last 20 odd hours have been nothing short of embarrassing

  19. Oh wow! This is desperate, some guys in a car now!

Surely you can all see this is a total wind-up... then it’ll no doubt come back as “defensive pyramid believers”! It’s honestly worse than being at school again, although after reading half the threads on the Junior section, it’s just par for the course... :1eye

Sure boys, I believe you :thumsup2

True in the glory years, me moreso than newky (who puts some shift in to get to games) Have moved  on from the village so unfortunately I look on from afar now....

Probably about the time I moved away too, or I’d still be going when I could... and I’ve never seen myself as a true “fan”, just seemed more accessible and welcoming than Rose to us for some reason. It was our wee hideout place as kids, and I’d probably have matched Newky in the tantrum-count by now :whistle
