The most surprising vote of the day goes to Tom Johnston, who I am told from a very reliable source also voted for it. I wonder what his members will make of that?

Last time I passed through Blackburn there was an old boy giving it shapes at the traffic lights... just assumed that was BM after getting their license through and forgetting to take his meds. Some good moves though!

Do players from the teams in the highland cup play for different teams on the winter?
Half the Alness NCL team used to disappear and leave them in the shit before the end of the season to play for Blackrock and others when I was there... dunno if this still happens though

Cheers gogsy! That’s the funniest thing I’ve read all day, beats the sh1te that’s currently polluting the Juniors page just now... (check the sophisticated banter on Darvel’s thread)
Glad we are all adults here... and I include Braveheart Dad in that, at least he’s found some sense eventually

It was a poor attempt at trolling and another dig at the Juniors if your'e honest about it.
Here's a novel idea, maybe that's the level of their combined fanbases no matter where they are playing.
I've played in front of more than that when I played for my school team, what does that prove?
It proves that there is little to no interest in the ERJFA anymore, when it was once a thriving league and maybe these clubs need to move with the times and TRY to engage with the potential local support by being involved in a league system that can actually excite people... or there will eventually be no team at all to support in these towns

Well done Bellmac, that’s actually a fantastic result for them!
I’ll say a Avoch vs Maryburgh final... 1-0 Avoch after extra time, got to be worth a few quid!

Would the EOS Fixture Secretary allow a prestigious Junior Cup tie to take precedence or would Talbot and the SJFA just have to wait until a free Saturday / Sunday becomes available when the pitch is playable?
There again Sauchie EOS may get a couple of tremendous cup runs next season. Would this mean that all of the Sauchie ERJFA matches affected have to be postponed or the ERJFA fixtures reversed.
The point I am making is that Sauchie EOS fixtures should always take precedence over Sauchie ERJFA fixtures. Do you agree?
Generally I think that it is to be welcomed that EOS sides run Reserve/Community sides in the ERJFA and hopefully more will follow until the the nonsensical split of the EOS and East Region (South of The Tay) is terminated. The higher level teams games always take precedence over the lower levels teams games. Clyde and c colts, Alloa and bsc, Falkirk and East Stirling as the examples already on show.
But, but, the ERJFA are meant to be tier 6 too!!!

Do you think the crowd would have been any higher if it had been in the EOS rather than the ERJFA ?
Who mentioned the EoS?!
Was only pointing out a FACT, where 2 teams based 6 miles apart, that stayed in their long-standing, regionalised system can only muster 49 supporters at a game... and that’s meant to be a generous figure.
I’ve played in front of double that in a Border Amateur Div C game where the teams were 20 miles apart...

Stoneyburn vs Harthill derby
49 in the crowd... I’ll say no more

Kin hell, what a narrow minded outlook that is, stop being so precious about player's moving to other clubs
I understand what you’re saying and I’m sure he’ll get a good move, but I would rather a squad based on respect rather than just outright ability. Bad karma filters right through a tight squad and upsets everything, I wouldn’t trust him again... some may disagree

juniors in the east are fucked now.
Unfortunately this so true and the harsh truth... wonder how long it’ll be before Forfar, Cupar Angus, etc do what Roselea did and take there chances in the North of Scotland league

I think Lewis Barr is a fantastic player at this level and would add something different in midfield. I don't think you can blame players wanting to take a chance at a higher level
Not at all, it was the way they done it though and the timing

Well one of the Penicuik 3 has already confirmed signed for Nitten. Of the other 2 I hope not because of the way they treated Penicuik last season and followed the leader to Berwick for a disastrous season. I don’t want anything to do with any player who has Harvey on their CV.
C’mon The Rose
Someone on the Berwick thread suggested they both were going back to Penicuik! Yeah.... no chance

Sleat & Strath w/o-scr Balloan Campus
Poor show from Balloan, Sleat n Strath have always been a loyal competitor of the highland cup and a great away day whether in Kyleakin or Broadford...
Another “big city” amateur league team out

Doesn’t matter who sucks who’s cock, I was just suggesting it was an opportunity that could help both clubs...
Maybe a reason why you are where you are with the backwards attitude shown by certain people above

Were Dundonald not shafted by their comrades for a similar simple mistake?
Then there’s Kelty and Bo’ness, surely can’t have forgotten them being shafted by their comrades for mistakes. After all you are a Camelon fanny remember.
No, you’re still an immature fanny

Just checked and the funeral was 11/12/17. I was one of his colleagues but a good bit younger.
Yeah it was around that time she spoke to her other maths teacher, which is where I got my wires crossed! He was the only name I recognised from her time there, shows how good a guy he was!
So... you were probably one of mine then, if you did Maths then you’ll know me Maybe even one of many who wrote “must listen more” on one of my reports

No way! It was about a year ago she mentioned it to me!
He wasn’t one of my teachers but I remember all the Terminator jibes, he was well liked by everyone he taught
Edit - She knew about Arnie, it was her other Maths teacher she was talking to... I “must listen more!” Sure that was written on a few report cards!
