  1. Gammon is fine when used correctly, but like most things is overused. Should be reserved for fat, bald racists.
  2. Yeah big fan of it - would like to see us introduce it here. Suppose the SFA's issue is what counts as a Scotland cap - didn't they just retrospectively give a cap to eight players a few years ago - could make the numbering very confusing should they do that again.
  3. The Boyce one was a penalty. The VAR thought it was a penalty and that's why they called the referee over to change his mind. Even if he didn't make contact (which he did), it's still a high boot that should be an-indirect free-kick just inside the box, so why the referee didn't give that at the very least in real-time is baffling. Is this the first time this season that a referee has been called over and not changed his decision? Happens very rarely.
  4. It's one TV game from Rounds 1 to 3, but the BBC have shown a second in previous years but that's usually been down to Covid or something.
  5. It's QTV that do it - the same people that do the production for Premiership games, but it's quite a lot of work to get it cut down.
  6. They'll be uploaded to the Scottish Cup YouTube channel tomorrow afternoon. They might also be posted on Twitter too.
  7. Probably a bunch of copium but what do we reckon on the reports of Putin's health, there was the Heart Attack story over the weekend and now there's the rumour over Telegram and Twitter that's he kicked the bucket. Most likely just the usual rumours - mind we had to put up with with the Queen for the past 10 years until it eventually happened. What do the Russia watchers on here think?
  8. Adam Something on YouTube did a really interesting video on why modern builds look crap.
  9. Petershill is probably the best example. On a few occasions it was used twice on the same day for live matches in the SWPL - as it's used by both Partick Thistle and Glasgow City. Thistle would usually play at 12 with City at 4:10pm - an easy one for BBC Alba to do as they already have cameras in position. The only noticible difference was that City has slightly larger crowds and extra advertising hoardings put up.
  10. Did Scotsport not used to do it on a Monday night? Show all the goals in 2 minutes before showing "highlights" of the live Setanta(?) game. Then go and speak to Graham Spiers for 25 minutes.
  11. If I was going to make a causally sexist remark, I would at least make sure the spelling was correct
  12. Sky went for the split kick-offs during Covid, think United played Hibs at 6pm on a Tuesday night at one point. Thought it worked quite well - when there wasn't any fans in ground
  13. Motherwell away to Stjarnan comes to mind? Tbf with the UK being on the Western-reaches of UEFA it would have to be a side in either Portugal or Iceland at home
  14. Australian press reporting that a joint Australian-Indonesian bid is being considered. Probably not the worst idea in the world. The threshold for eligible bids is 14 stadiums - 9-10 in Australia and 4-5 in Indonesia seems feasible Adapting their 2022 bid documents for 2034. Australia has currently has seven suitable venues, three stadiums needing renovation/expansion and one totally rebuilt stadium. Melbourne Cricket Ground, Victoria - 100,000 Stadium Australia (Sydney Olympic Stadium), NSW - 84,000 Optus Stadium, Perth, WA- 61,000 (expandable to 70,000) Adelaide Oval, SA- 53,000 Lang Park, Brisbane, Queensland- 52,000 Allianz Stadium, Sydney, NSW - 45,500 Kardina Park, Geelong, Victoria - 40,000 Newcastle Stadium, NSW - 33,000 (expanded to 42,000) Townsville Stadium, Queensland - 26,000 (expanded to 40,000) Cararra Stadium, Gold Coast, Queensland - 22,000 (temp. expansion to 40,000) New Canberra Stadium, ACT - 40,000 (on site of current 25k stadium) Indonesia also put in a solo bid for the 2022 tournament, however their bid relied on very few existing stadia. A number of grounds have been built in the 13 years since, but transport infrastructure will be problematic. Anyway when it comes to stadiums Indonesia has four World Cup standard stadiums, currently: Jakarta International Stadium - 82,000 (built in 2022) Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta - 77,193 (renovated in 2018) Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, East Java - 45,000 (renovated in 2020) Batakan Stadium, East Kalimantan - 40,000 (built in 2017) There a few other stadiums that could be renovated - and as a country of 200 million there's certainly demand for modern stadia. There's currently 16 stadiums of a capacity of 30000 or more in addition to the ones listed, with some needing only minor expansion/renovation to be up to World Cup standard. But others including the one that had that stadium crush a couple of years back need serious overhauls.
  15. Sure a Viaplay cup game kicked-off at 8:30pm one evening, as they trialled a double-header. Don't mind a 8:30pm kick-off - if it's not far to travel.
  16. SPFL have stuck their round-up on the YouTube It's a pretty decent attempt at a highlights show all things considered. They have to rely on the clubs to provide them with footage more often than not - and given they have like 10 people that work for them in total, it's better than nothing. Don't think it's broadcastable, the BBC have minimum requirements which nearly every game on this falls short of - would quite like to see them get it on the Monday, but probably a tall order that.
  17. Anyone who goes on about "Wokeness" tends to be an idiot (Daily Mail/Sun Reader), a grifter (Emily Hewertson) or a wrong-un (Brand/Lozza Fox)
  18. Well, that's the pitch sorted. Given the Walter Mitty types that have been involved in various Scottish clubs - Livi included - over the years, a Scottish investor who is Managing Director of a pretty well known company seems like a pretty decent person to come in, on the face of at least.
  19. What's the prize money these days - it's what £6k for getting through to Round 2?
  20. Another Geography game Basically you get two countries and have to path your way between them in the fewest steps (i.e. France to Portugal - you'd click Spain) There's different game modes - countries, US States, UK Counties, Ukrainian Oblasts, French Regions etc. https://imois.in/games/travle/
  21. Is it bad that when seeing jokes about Kadyrov dying on Twitter, my first port of call is to come to P&B and see if @ICTChris has confirmed it or not?
  22. Everyone's favourite "she's turned the weans against us" billionaire divorced da is already supporting him
