  1. But what has happened? Recently, Falkirk seem to have fired more managers than Alan Sugar has apprentices. With each one, there seems to have been great hope. And now with a new board and a new manager, things don't seem to be improving. I accept that Martin Rennie can only work with the resources that are available to him, but there has been a transfer window during his tenure. How have you got the the place, on a full-time budget, of having so many bang average players at best? Will the new board and management team bring about any changes needed to get you to the playoffs, and then through them?
  2. Normally you will fill the opposite stand. 1331 is a paltry figure for a Clyde v Falkirk game. I sizeable number must have stayed away.
  3. The good shouts for a penalty were well sussed by the ref. That it took three for a player to be booked for simulation shows his kindness towards the Diamonds. Had he been consistent, he would have shown a second yellow and red to your no13 for diving yet again. Saw all of the first half claims. Blatant cheating. That said, I still think that Airdrie are the best team in the league, and I would have taken a point before a ball was kicked. The game was well changed when your no23 came on (McGill?). IIRC, he was injured at the game the was abandoned at Broadwood, so good to see him come on and make such an impact on the game. Dylan Easton was anonymous during the game (usually a stand out for me, if he does often get caught in possession). All in all, a good point again a good Airdrie side. They will accuse us of time wasting in the second, perhaps with some merit, but a team as good as they are should not have to resort to the cheating that we saw today. The ref could have and should have been harder on them.
  4. Took in this game as a neutral as our game against Q Pee was off. I usually enjoy games as a neutral, but today was an exception. This was dire and woeful stuff, from both sides, and from the officials. The referee had me wondering if he was still under the influence from New Year. Anyway, I expected more of Airdrie given their recent results, but can't help but feel that they stole the points today. I do like Dylan Easton as a player (except against us) but felt that he was caught in possession a few times. Max Currie badly needs to learn when to come off his line. As a neutral, it was difficult without knowing which team was near the top and which was near the bottom. The result suits me as we too will be putting in a serious bid. But all in all, 90 minutes of my life that I won't get back.
  5. LOL. Brilliant! The irony post of the week. Even the Falkirk fans wouldn't want him back there. And look at the state that they are in!
  6. There may be reasons financial or contractual for not being able to bin Holt. As one of you has said accurately already, sniggering, sneering Holt. I did watch your Q&A with Gary Deans at the helm, and I have to say that it is a long time since I have seen anyone quite as up himself as Holt. I took a dislike to him within seconds. Are the new board saying anything about restructuring the club? It sounds like that is where they need to start. You will not go down. Both teams today have an eye on the playoffs - you guys getting into one set and us avoiding the other. By the way, who was your no22 today? He really did stand out.
  7. An amazing goal from Ally Love. It was great to see what it meant to him, and great to see him see what it meant to us, the fans. One of the hardest working players I have ever seem in a Clyde jersey. Jones was better in that he had two good touches all game. That does not make him good. He is still like Bambi on ice. Great travelling support today, and happy to part with the £18 to see these points secured. Anyone know how many of us travelled through?
  8. And with 10119 of a crowd (according to the BBC - Firhiil near capacity), it must have looked like some evacuation.
  9. Sorry buddy, but I feel that I need to correct that second sentence there.
  10. Hardly. You are only two points off Morton and four off Accies and Ayr. A far cry from being relegated. What is making me chuckle about this is the attitude of my brother-in-law who is a Pars fan. To listen to him, you would think that Dunfermline were Real Madrid. OK, he has been quiet this season, understandably. But last season, he treated Tom Lang with utter contempt. Who would expect a Diddy from Clyde to get anywhere near the starting 11 of the world beating superior championship team that is Dunfermline. So it worked out well for us getting Lang back on loan. I hope he does well at Raith as he is a great guy and a cracking defender, way capable of more than playing in the Seaside League! That said, the Pars fans on here do not have the stinking and superior attitude of my brother-in-law. You seem to be good guys who are hurting. It hurts to see one's team in that state. However I would end by saying that you should do all that you can to avoid the drop to the Seaside League, because spend too much time playing diddies, and you will become diddies yourself. Ask any Falkirk fan and they will confirm this. lol
  11. Actually you are not. Gash though we are in the Seaside League, we can always rely on Falkirk for quality entertainment every week. Right now, they are the gift that keeps on giving.
  12. I would have taken a point before the ball was kicked, but tonight feeling slightly disappointed that we did not take all three. Was Gomis injured? For a neutral, that would have been a great game. What's the QP setup regarding finance? Guessing that you are now a full-time side, but the money must be coming from somewhere? Can I ask where? Having played both Cove and the underachieving Falkirk, I would rather fancy QP for the title. I wish you guys well.
  13. On the plus side, as QP and/or Cove will come up, you will get your derby matches back with Falkirk. Sheerin v Grant? Can't call that. And as we are in the relegation running, I will miss it anyway. Dunfermline and Falkirk in the seaside league, each set of fans with their entitlement issues. It will be very entertaining.
  14. https://coverangersfc.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/CRFC-Hospitality-2021-22.pdf Looking at making a day of it at the next game against Cove away. I like the look of their hospitality packages. But interesting to note that at the start, they have disrespected 5 teams in the league with their assigning of Category 1 and Category 2 pricing structure. We are indeed the lesser category 2!
  15. What I don't get is why Bob Malcolm follows BF around. Is it a condition of signing Ferguson that Bob Malcolm comes as part of the deal? He really is clueless.
  16. A refund? You should be looking for mental health compensation after watching that!!!!
  17. You are assuming that DG will be playing up front? I'm not. Last Saturday he was played wide to accommodate a dud striker that we signed from Dumbarton.
  18. Highlights? There were none. I can't even pick a man of the match from that shambles.
  19. On the subject of signings, I think that we will struggle to get 90 minutes out of Gomis. That he is a cracking midfielder is without doubt. But I do wonder with him being that bit older if he goes in to tackles thinking that he will win them, but his legs have other ideas? I think that discipline will be a real issue for him, and I can see him getting hooked a good few times before he gets sent off. IIRC, he has had a yellow card in most games so far?
  20. A much needed 3 points against what can only be described as an excellent Montrose side. Some cracking players, not least Mochrie, MacLean (who caused Tom Lang a lot of hard work) and Cochrane. Despite the 5 0 tanking by Airdrie two weeks ago, I think that Montrose are the best opposition that we have faced so far (Peterhead come a close second). Towards the end of the first half, I would have settled for a draw. Montrose looked way better than us. But it is amazing how different Goodwillie when he gets service?
  21. I think that FifeSons is simply making a very fair point in the wake of comments made by over keen Clyde fans last week.
