  1. A stop past Cartsdyke is Greenock Central, so you’ll be close to The James Watt, The Lighthouse, Tail O’ The Bank or The Old Bank, which would be my preference.
  2. I had a pretty good view of the incident against Arbroath and thought the only reason Jai was sent off was Gaston failing in his attempts to manhandle him out of getting the ball first. Gaston was absolutely raging and kept complaining to the ref until he sent Jai off. I couldn’t understand Gaston’s rage though as it was more what you’d expect if Jai had tried to break his team mate’s leg or something like that. I watched a Wolves player grab the ball out of the net after a late equaliser the same day, and no-one made any objections. That was the only difference I could see.
  3. Sorry for intruding but I was surprised to read about this today. I’ve slagged off the luvvies many times in the past but it’s just fitba banter really. Sounds as though things aren’t right with the takeover. I hope Yous can get it sorted!
  4. I can’t believe Imrie persists in playing two forwards who refuse to do the prerequisites in pressing the ball to prevent the opponents from gaining possession, also 4-3-3 doesn’t suit our shite level of players. Arbroath were first to every ball and were much more streetwise than us, playing to the two dick’s instructions. I have to say though that Arbroath’s right/wing back was immense, he’ll go places if he keeps up that level of performance!
  5. That’s a head scratcher for me too. Our best player on the bench every week!? If King is so good why not fit them both into the team as Steve Clarke did with Tierney and Robertson? You have to respect Imrie’s knowledge and experience and assume he will know best, which might explain the acceptance or apathy on here, but with this conundrum it looks so obvious a solution to move King forward to accommodate Strapp. So there must be something wrong or Strapp is carrying an injury. We have Blues and Kabia on his side of the pitch! Does Kabia’s loan deal mean he has to play every game? We’re struggling to get the quality of players we need for this level, King has shown his versatility and yet Dougie still decides we can compete without one of the division’s best players? Please fix it or explain it Dougie!
  6. Imrie’s still sitting staring at his exam paper - creative mid and striker questions still to be answered. What marks can be awarded for “incomplete paper”?
  7. Games will be cancelled in England as they all seem to be professional mourners there. Shouldn’t affect Scottish games as Our rightful a Queen was beheaded here!
  8. You seem remarkably calm about the situation! I was counting on getting an attacking / creative mid and a striker who actually scores goals, to transform us from mid-table to challenging at the top end. Anything less is a massively disappointing deadline day!
  9. You’ll still need to queue to buy the tickets from the ticket office before going to the gate, hence still best to buy online.
  10. We won’t score or concede 3 as we have a decent defence and no strikers.
  11. How did you know that? Yes he’s on day shift and I’m on nights, so we actually share a bed! I told him to give Morton a good report as I’d be hearing it when I wake up late on Saturday afternoon.
  12. I’m offshore so couldn’t watch the game, but did hear a match report from Stuart Kettlewell. He said Morton were the better team, created the most chances and that Crawford was outstanding.
  13. I’m still a bit baffled though. If he’s a box to box player who doesn’t create or score goals, what does he do when he reaches the opposition box?
  14. So he’s a box to box player who doesn’t create and doesn’t score goals?
  15. I’m happy with that, improves our midfield options and may be the creative spark we require. Was disappointed we missed out on Scott Allan but this may be less risky option.
