  2. I agree, yesterday’s game could have gone either way it was a tight victory for us. That is how the majority of this season is going to be though I think cagey affairs, with the occasional big win here and there but mainly tightly contested games. I thought Airdrie were the better team in the first half and we were the better team for the majority of the second expect your late push. Neither team were brilliant and both could claim they deserved something.
  3. To me I feel this game is going to be a scoring draw, likely the most end to end game of our season so far. 2-2
  4. Glass’ squad number was given away to Spittal and he is out for the season, so surely his loan has been cancelled. It is odd there is yet to be any formal confirmation that this is the case but for now we are having to assume it is. This would leave us two loans.
  5. I’m not sure mate because I remember the St Mirren cup game stream had that option and it was the same commentary on both versions. Of course it could be different at different clubs but I’m not sure that the commentary would’ve change. It may have possibly had no commentary though?
  6. Both sides winning today, going to be a big game for both teams,. Our second half performance was a lot better today so I’m feeling more confident than I was originally. Cove will be wanting to keep their winning run going. Looks to be a tough game for us, Cove seem like they are a very good attacking team, defensively I have no clue to their level, would have to take their fans word on it.
  7. I’m expecting Graham to be our top scorer, I said on the Clyde game thread I thought he would be in with a shout of top scorer in the league this season. Some disagreed but I’m sticking by what I said as I think he will have a big season with us.
  8. Aye the quality of the match day stream was much improved, if anyone is on the fence about buying the stream for the Falkirk game due to the quality, going by today it’s worth it.
  9. Brian Graham being back for us was key for us today we really lacked something without him against Clyde.
  10. Was a tight game with not too many moments of quality. Spittal’s goal was a quality strike, could’ve been let off with a penalty just before that as well but I am yet to see it back. Graham’s goal looked tight to me but I am not complaining. Better second half than first half, Airdrie will understandably feel hard done by but for us that’s a crucial 3 points.
  11. Given there is only 14 home games this season if we are wanting to win the title we really do need to be winning the large majority of these games. Me saying have to win them all was possibly a bit extreme and I by no mean think we will be coasting home games and winning them all, but we absolutely cannot be dropping regular points at home if we are serious about getting out of League One.
  12. Changes I’d make to the side is Graham back, Williamson, Lyons and Spittal all in with Kouider-Aissa, Foster, Murray and Gordon out. We need to go for this game, I expect it to be a tight contest Airdrie are going to be tough opponents. Realistically if we are wanting promotion we need to be winning all our home games it’s crucial. No clue if Rudden is fit for this game but even if he is I’d start Graham.
  13. £10 for Airdrie fans and non season ticket holders https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/partick-thistle-v-airdrieonians-pay-per-view-pass-on-sale-now/
  14. Play like we did on Saturday and Airdrie will win this comfortably. I’m hoping that it was a kick up the arse to team and we come out much better. Airdrie are a team I expect to be in the top three this season so I think it’ll be a tough game even if we are on top of our game.
  15. @ me next time lol you make a fair point that we didn’t set the group alight with goals, but we did look positive going forward in most games, apart from the first half against Queen’s Park like I said earlier. and created a large number of chances, yes we didn’t take enough of them but we were very creative. Now that’s not me saying we did well to just create chances of course you need to take them of you want to do well, I’m simply saying I was surprised at the real lack of creativity in the final third yesterday. We were flat and very slow in areas and kept sending long aimless balls into the box which I swear looked like we were doing with our eyes closed.

  17. I was surprised at the performance level yesterday. We have looked pretty decent going forward in the league cup games excluding one half against Queens Park. It was also the opening day of a campaign where promotion is a must in terms of achievement for us. I by no means expected us to show up and coast to a win, but I was expecting us to get the three points in a tightly contested game, which is why I predicted a 1-0 win for us. This obviously did not happen and Clyde were worth the three points and we were not. We missed Williamson and Lyons , two of our most creative players out wide were on the bench for the majority of the game which didn’t help, Koudier-Assia was isolated up top, very little in ways of chances for us, we clearly missed Graham. We were also too easily cut open and only Sneddon prevented us from conceding more as Clyde should have probably scored at least one or two of those chances. We should’ve played far far better than we did but the fact is we were poor and didn’t deserve anything from the game.
  18. Aye apart from the first half against Queens Park we looked pretty good going forward in the three league cup games. Today though we didn’t at all, lots of balls into the box with no one on the end of them, really slow movement going forward as well. Such a poor performance.
  19. I’ve had a couple of hours to digest the game now and I still can’t believe just how poor we were. We just did not show up today. The possession over the course of the game was pretty even but when we were on the ball we just did not use it effectively, lots of balls in the box with no one on the end of them and misplaced passes. Clyde kept cutting us open and only some great stops from Sneddon stopped them from scoring more. We only had two big chances in the game Kouider-Aissa‘s header in the first half and the rebound from Docherty hitting the post which I believe also fell to Kouider-Aissa. You could see we missed Brian Graham up top today. Over the course of the 90 minutes Clyde deserved the three points and I can’t complain about that but what I can is the abysmal showing from us today. Much improvement needed for Airdrie next week.
  20. The manner of the defeat today is beyond disappointing. We didn’t show up today at all, I can’t even remember a shot on target.
  21. We were terrible, Sneddon kept that score lower. Clyde deserved the win, had the better chances.
  22. I’ve been surprised by Lyons lack of involvement so far, could’ve maybe been a fitness issue or McCall experimenting with different formations. Should be a player who plays a big role in our side this season.
  23. I think it’s going to be a tight game, with not many clear cut chances. I’ll go with 1-0 Jags.
