  1. That's because Forfar don't have commentary. I think Stranraer must have brought a camera and commentators with them, that'll be what you heard.
  2. Matty is still a fine striker, but yes maybe he has gone off the boil, slightly. Unfortunately Shepherd and Doris aren't there to take Matty's place when his form drops. I'm glad Anderson has come back from injury strong. Him and Munro were comfortable and seem to have a good understanding. When Travis is back to full fitness it's 3 excellent CBs.
  3. We're still unbeaten in the league! But we're now not won in 3, when really we should've won them.
  4. Not a great start for Forfar so far. Stranraer have had a couple half chances. We've had a couple good corners.
  5. Looking forward to this match. The team are in good confidence, surely we should get the 3 points and hopefully another clean sheet.
  6. Steven Anderson starts, Gary has benched himself. Let's see if Ando can play the 90 or if he'll be taken off after 65 minutes or so.
  7. Judging by the pre-match build up on the Forfar website we have no new injuries and Strachan is not listed as injured I'm guessing we'll line up as follows McCallum Meechan, Irvine, Munro, Strachan Thomson, Slater, Thomas, Crossan Aitken, Shepherd I'm going for another 2-0 victory for the Loons. I'd love a Matty brace.
  8. We used to have a contingent of young vocal supporters the "LoonsOnTour" but they were hounded out of the club by older miserable fans. It was a shame because it made for a better atmosphere, so it was nice to hear Kelty fans singing.
  9. I agree but he's making the big bucks, and probably has a day job with conservatory converters so he's financially better off where he is than playing for Inverness or an SPL side. Kelty fans, where was Reilly today, was he injured or just dropped? It was a real kick in the teeth when he and Easton walked out of the club after being key figures for us, helping us to finish 2nd in League One, for life in the Lowland League.
  10. Second half was near as comfortable as the first for us. With Strachan (our only LB) injured and Anderson & Travis not fully fit yet. Gary may opt for the back 3 Meechs, Munro & Irvine. I was relieved when I saw Austin was on the bench. Sadly he came on early in the first half and bagged a brace.
  11. We scored a penalty! What a great counter attack right at the death of the 1st half! The game is open and very enjoyable, let's see if we can get the 3 points!
  12. Absolutely buzzing for this match, and I'll be able to grab a halftime bridie! It's going to be a tough test, don't want to make a prediction until I know who's still injured and who might be back.
  13. I know it's a separate club and entity to Forfar Athletic but it was a shame to see that Forfar Farmington has folded. Guess they couldn't compete financially or recruit like the other women's teams who are attached to a larger men's football clubs.
  14. That would make sense, thanks. That's a fair point. We wanted a rotated side, and we got that as best we could and still got the win.
  15. Why did he register as a player instead of Scott Robertson? He wasn't great for us but a lot better than Harkins! Been decent for us. Nothing special but he is the only LB at the club so he's guaranteed playing time.
  16. Should be a comfortable win for us on Tuesday. If we can get a few goals in the first half I can see Gary resting folk after HT and give Doris and Steven Anderson a good run out to build fitness.
  17. Very pleasing match another good win. Hopefully Tuesday should be an easy win and then the very tough match next Saturday.
  18. Great first half from us. Matty with the early goal and we could have had more. Another missed pen! We are unrecognisable from last season, come on the Loons!
  19. Good question, after a quick Google McLaren's are open until 2 on Saturdays. Guess all the staff want to watch the match as well True, Saddler's are nearby and good for bridies too.
  20. Sorry to disappoint you folk but the bridie shop at the stadium will be closed tomorrow. Have to arrive early and go to McLarens' bakery on the corner of Market Street to get your bridies and eat them on your way to the ground.
  21. With Travis and McCluskey still out, I think that will probably be the team Gary puts out. Edinburgh will be disappointed with their effort last week, whereas Forfar will be happy so here's hoping another three points and a clean sheet! However, Edinburgh do pose a stronger attacking force than Annan, but we've got Marc McCallum!
  22. This winning thing is quite nice, maybe we should do it more often If we beat Edinburgh and Kelty it means we'll have come out on top against two of the league favourites within the first month, maybe that Courier article could be correct! Not getting too carried away, we've got a strong squad, let's hope they all play well the whole season and we can avoid an injury crisis like last season.
  23. Woohoo, got my score prediction bang on! Didn't get the goalscorers correct, but nice to start the season with a win.
