  1. Arbroath look like they controlled the whole game, inevitable that Hilly bagging a goal and two assists! The highlights were up quick tonight.
  2. They've put the highlights up, Broughty definitely looked like a better team than Carnoustie, interesting to see how we do against the Lichties.
  3. Wonder if Dan Hoban will get anytime in nets? If he does I hope it's more than just the last 5 minutes, I'd like to actually see him do something.
  4. CRIKEY! When Forfar announced Mark Hill had signed for us I thought he was going to be our star signing, instead he's just fighting Steven Doris for the biggest belly!
  5. Well he's signed now according to that interview so I guess he'll be listed as a player for tomorrow, wouldn't be surprised if he actually starts tomorrow and gets at least 45 minutes game-time. If Foxy had been a player last season he'd probably have been our best player, even at 37 he'd have done better than Gary Irvine, Scott Robertson and Mark Docherty!
  6. If you're talking about Foxy he wasn't listed as a trialist. According to the interview on Facebook Foxy will be a registered player to come off the bench in games.
  7. Comfortable win for Forfar by the looks of it, not overly surprising against a junior team, imagine the Ferry match on Tuesday will be similar, maybe a clean sheet! The Arbroath and Brechin games will be a good test to see if we're likely to be up the league or if we'll still be as shambolic as last season. Still, a hat-trick for Jordan Allan on his debut is good, more of that please!
  8. Don't think they have the livestream stuff set up yet, on Twitter they've just said to look out for the highlights tomorrow, think we might have to wait until competitive football starts before we can watch the games live, as for fans being allowed into the stadium come October think that is totally dead in the water.
  9. Agreed. Ross Graham was a good chairman, and quite clearly he's the main investor at the club. Graham Pest Control/Fire Safety sponsoring kits, and the main stand. Don't really know Scott Murdie, but we've now had 4 chairmen in 5 years! Scott Murdie, Ross Graham, Ken Stewart & Alistair Donald
  10. New captain?! I assume you're talking about Ross Meechan's video, didn't know he was given the captaincy, I would have thought it would still be Travs, albeit he is out of action for a while.
  11. I think they are allowed to train as of tomorrow (1st September), so they'll only have a few sessions together before we kick off.
  12. Is that with reference to whether he's signed again for Forfar, or what the court judged over the "alleged incident" in a Dundee pub?
  13. From the club website. Provisional pre-season friendlies, whether any spectators will be allowed is unknown so far. 19th September- BSC Glasgow at Station Park 26th September- Arbroath at Gayfield 29th September- Brechin at Station Park Some fun fixtures facing local rivals the Hedge and the Smokies, as well as BSC.
  14. I think we all know it was an appointment of the heart, what other team would appoint a manager who's mid table two divisions below, but Malks was always going to get the Forfar gig at some point, maybe it came too early but he certainly has the full support of the board and the vast majority of the fanbase. Now he truly has built his own squad, hopefully we'll see a much better team performance come the start of the season.
  15. All these signings haven't kicked a ball since March, so you might be pleased to see they're all 38+ come the start of the season Seriously, we've got a decent looking squad on paper, just hope they can deliver and gel on the pitch.
  16. Shame to see Baino go but with Meechs and BJ he wasn't going to play and he deserves to be playing every Saturday in League One. How many do we have in the squad now?
  17. He was offered a contract but he turned it down, evidently wanting to play somewhere nearer to his home.
  18. Reading everybody's comments I definitely think Chris Antoniazzi will be very similar to Dylan Easton, half the fanbase will love him, half will say he's a passenger and critical of him. I'll let the season start before I class him as a hit or miss. Welcome to the club Chris. What areas of the squad do we still need to recruit in? I'm thinking right wing, unless Muzza is our first choice winger and not going o be playing centrally, even still squad depth is needed.
  19. We don't need a non-league striker we've got an overweight Steven Doris! Hopefully Scott Shepherd is good striker he's done well for Edinburgh City, but didn't we sign Ouzy from Edinburgh and he's most famous for putting a penalty over the goal, over the Brechin stand and into space.
  20. I would have offered Baino a deal, think he is better than Coll, but with Meechan & Coll in the side I totally understand Baino looking elsewhere. Tapping could've been good but he did get relegated with Brechin so no major loss. Robertson being offered a new deal, understandable he's decent bench player who can fill in at defence or mid, if he turns it down I wouldn't be bothered. Irvine being offered a new contract. NO! Waste of time. McGuff leaving - I think McCallum is definitely staying, so him and Hoban are better options than Sam. Aitken leaving - I really liked Matty but it's quite clear he's not League One standard, he'll probably disappear into the Juniors or leave football altogether. Coupe leaving - This I am disappointed, I'm a big fan of Coupe's workrate and speed and how he liked to run at defences, something no-one else did last season. Yes he couldn't finish at all but I'd have kept him. However, he doesn't appear to be a Malky type player, I think he was a project of Jim Weir's to try and nurture. Looking at our squad now, we need a central midfielder or two and a right winger (unless Muzza is going to be our right winger but I prefer him in the centre) and squad depth.
  21. If that is true, it wouldn't surprise me (Kelty and Darvel have been spending money like no other team in Scotland!) but I have faith in Marc that he'd turn it down as Forfar fan and current club hero, even though it'd be a probable pay rise. I hope anyway...
  22. Shame, you're probably right. Guess we'll be shopping at the Glebe Park dumpster again.
  23. Definitely! All fans would agree that Eckersley would be a quality signing for us, never should have left Forfar in the first place.
  24. True I always admired him at Arbroath, but do we really want to sign another released player from Brechin? It wouldn't surprise me if we do sign him, but I'd hope Malky would be a little more ambitious, and not make the same mistakes Jim Weir did last season - albeit, we did start the season well but it soon collapsed.
