  1. McCallum saves the day every week. We probably would lose 3 or 4 nil every week if it wasn't for Marc.
  2. The mysterious Sam Fisher has returned to the club. But wow that lineup is ultra defensive 5-4-1 from what I can tell. Wonder if we'll have a shot on target today?
  3. I was thinking that, lots of well reasoned points by most here!
  4. 8 and half minutes of enthralling highlights...
  5. Great post! However, I still don't think the board are going to give him his P45 just yet. But will they give him funds? I don't know. And if they do bin him, what managers are available? What sort of players are wanting to move into management?
  6. How many times did we stray offside today. No wonder we never have shots because we lump it to our lone striker who is standing offside!
  7. Normally love the boxing day match, the atmosphere is usually great. Not this year. Watching a horrendous Forfar play a team cruising into the playoffs on my laptop, just not the same, can't imagine this game will be a classic. 2-0 Cove is what I think, and we will have a shot on target, it'll probably be from Foxy in the 94th minute from 25 yards that doesn't trouble the keeper in the slightest. Hope my predictions are wildly out but we'll just wait and hope.
  8. Talking about Malcolm replacements, Shelley Kerr's left her job as Scotland Women's boss...
  9. We'll just say he's more suited to rugby conversions than football penalties
  10. To be fair that would be a stronger squad than we have currently. Although think McCallum would start over Rab
  11. I'm not asking for Pep Guardiola's tiki-taka or Jurgen Klopp's geggenpress, but when McCallum kicks it upfield we don't have anyone that can win an aerial duel and then play the ball to someone else, it just easily gets collected by the opposition and then they attack. So, I agree we haven't got the players to do that, that's why people are saying Malcolm is out of ideas. Route one isn't working because we don't have the aerial presence, we don't have quick wingers to counter so we need to work out what these players can do.
  12. And what high might that be? Only losing 1-0?
  13. He hasn't lost the dressing room. The team nearly always give it everything, it's just everything is hoof and hope. I would give 100% effort playing for the Loons but I'd still be abysmal though.
  14. At least you've had chances we're just completely clueless and apathetic!
  15. A number of changes to Forfar's starting XI most notably a competitive start for Dalling. Hill and Robertson also make it onto the pitch from the kick off. Very interesting to see how we get on.
  16. Brechin didn't win a single game all season and Darren Dodds kept his job, so it's sadly not impossible we could do the same. I've not heard any rumblings of the board considering sacking Stuart Malcolm. We definitely need to start picking up points the East Fife and Clyde games are must wins otherwise we will be adrift before Hogmanay. Another blow, who knows where Sam Fisher is so the only CB left is young Dalling, as @nofixedability said maybe we need to take risks and play this lad, just one example. I honestly don't know if he's any good or not.
  17. I never said I want it to happen that way, I just think the board won't pull the plug on Stuart this season and yes a high chance we could end up just like Brechin.
  18. Whether you agree or not, I'm fairly sure the board will allow Malky to keep his job until at least the end of the season, and probably he'll have the chance to manage us in League Two.
  19. Yeah, fair point, was just an observation. Allan can be a real threat but as you say there's absolutely no support for him.
  20. Noticed that Matty Aitken has scored 5 league goals and a few more in cups for Albion, meanwhile our top scorers are tied with 2 (Muzza, Antoniazzi & Allan), maybe we should've kept him - or maybe he's just playing for a better team, yes a bottom half league two club is better than us.
  21. Horrendous from ourselves again, not at all surprised. All the controversy over Partick's first doesn't matter we were never going to create anything besides. This may be the ramblings of a man gone insane from watching Forfar this season but Stuart is always saying we're a young side who need to gel together, well we had an 18 year old CB on the bench today, yet Malky would rather play two fullbacks at centre half, and then when we need some tiny speck of attacking threat he overlooks a teen striker and brings on 37 year old Foxy as centre forward. Foxy is a great player but he's never been a striker, he's a holding midfielder, we're already pretty much relegated why not try these youngsters? Look at our starting XI today and a lot are playing out of position, I know we have an injury crisis but is it any surprise that we are so awful because of this. Stuart Malcolm is a Forfar great and I really don't want to dislike him but as a manger he's done nothing at all, and I can totally understand people calling for his head, no new manager boost when he replaced Weir and his signings have been meh to poor, or previously great players completely out of shape (Hill & Doris). And breathe, mini rant over.
  22. Some people would like Irvine to isolate for the rest of the season! We struggle to create chances anyway so only having one up top gives us no attacking threat, at least two strikers give us a "limp" attack. McCallum Meechan, Anderson, Fisher, MacKenzie Scally, Thomas, Hill, Coll Antoniazzi, Allan Not necessarily the starting XI I'd go for but can see Stuart playing this on Saturday.
