Bridie Vision replied to Port Talbot Loons's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
I'm not 100% sure but I think the 5th player would be either Travis or Baino. Happy with Darren and Murray signing on. The club say that they will be announcing more contract extensions in the next few days, wonder how many will re-sign? -

The SPFL must've felt sorry for us. McCallum would've been the only person I'd expected to be in contention. Amazed at how low down Marc was. Even more surprised that Tapping actually got into the Team of the Season XI ! -

More of a goal threat than anything Doris has shown so far. -

I suppose. Fair point, surprised that a number of junior teams have started signing folk. Guess I'm just bored with lockdown and wanting to find some juicy gossip. -

I've seen quite a few Junior sides announcing new players. We've seen Kirky go to Darvel. Anyone heard any Forfar rumours? Or, because everyone is furloughed at Forfar nobody is signing contract extension or getting in new players. Just asking. -

He could've been a star for us, and if our season hadn't been an complete shambles, post Weir's car crash (literal and metaphorical). -

Official statement from Forfar Athletic. Hopefully this enforced break will do our squad the world of good, maybe we'll play better once the season restarts: https://www.forfarathletic.co.uk/item/4141-spfl-fixtures-suspended -

Don't worry, we've not done anything for ages, you'll easily pick up 3 points at Links. -

Here's a curve-ball, would Sellars be a better choice as manager and have Malks as his assistant? After all, when Sellars was in charge for that match against Montrose after Weir's accident we actually played quite well and won. When Jim got back for the next game that's when we completely nosedived and ended up kicking Sellars out and bringing in Barry Smith - the worst moment of the entire season so far. -

I completely agree we were just thinking who is signed up, yes Doris will have signed for next season as well. -

Stuart Malcolm was always going to be a Forfar manager at some point, however, I think unfortunately it has come a few years too soon. On a side note, I was chatting with a couple of friends of mine and we were trying to think who's under contract for Forfar next season, we came up with McCallum, Barr & Coll. Judging by that Malky has to recruit an entire new squad for our League Two campaign, which probably isn't a bad thing! -

Bunsen Honeydew vs Stuart Malcolm
Bridie Vision replied to iamnotgarybollan's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
It was nice to see Coupe get a goal, that's about all I can say of Forfar. We were lucky not to be absolutely smashed by Raith, they should've. But also Raith will be glad that Baird's goal meant Coupe last minute shot wasn't a sucker punch for them, understandable disappointment from both sets of fans. -

Don't think Raith will hammer us, but no chance we'll score, probably another 2-0 defeat. -
Dumbarton v Forfar
Bridie Vision replied to aftershocker's topic in Scottish League 1 General Chatter
Much like Ross Forbes, Kirky is better and happier in the centre number 10 role. We seem to have struggled with wingers this year, Barr & Coupe being our only true wingers, yet Weir & Malks have played...deep breath...Forbes, Kirkpatrick, Tapping, Leitch, Mackintosh, Aitken, Burns out wide at some point this season (I'm sure Docherty probably played out wide at some point also, as he appeared to be undroppable). Jamie Bain has also played there and while he's traditionally a RB I think he is decent as a winger. We definitely need to recruit there in the summer ahead of our opening day fixture against Kelty Hearts in League Two (hopefully that doesn't happen and can remain a joke). -

Update to Danny's previous tweet. He's a sensible man and knows it's just a very few and by no means is he criticising the Loons supporters.- 89 replies

Yeah I'd like to see Murray and Coupe more. Especially since it's very, very likely we'll be relegated and these are the lads that are likely to stay with us for next season. Credit to the East Fife Ultras, nice to have some singing and drumming creating an atmosphere in what was a awful match.- 89 replies

Mark McKenzie signs on loan from Ayr United. He's a striker so it's obvious Malks doesn't rate Matty Aitken, and, Ryan Shanley who we signed on loan is going to be out injured for a while. Imagine he'll be on the bench and Forfar will start with Doris and Kirkpatrick tonight. -

If only it was. Our drummer boy and his mates haven't been to a match in ages. Fell out with the supporters club and were bullied by our incompetent stewards.- 89 replies

I assume he'll miss the rest of this season but how much of next season is the question. I guess Stuart Malcolm's one remaining loan signing will be a CB now.
