  1. Antoniazzi did well, also I thought Doris had his best game yet for us, still has a long way to go for him. Absolutely gutting, last kick of the game!
  2. Hoban has been decent coming in for McCallum. Shepherd looks totally lost, seems to lose every challenge and not getting into any areas to spearhead the attack. Montrose very comfortable, maybe Lennox will get bored and decide to slap Jordan Allan in penalty box!
  3. We have a squad with excellent work rate, however, I don't think we'll win tomorrow, wouldn't be surprised at a 3rd consecutive draw. Saying that, Montrose are looking really good. Weather is meant to be horrible so this won't be a classic derby game.
  4. Cruciate Ligament damage for Daz Whyte so we can assume that's him out for the season. ☹
  5. Yeah I totally agree. Fully expecting us to lose but as long as we aren't completely destroyed like we were last season against Falkirk.
  6. Nail biting stuff, it's the highlights from yesterday:
  7. Guess I'm wrong. It's Meechan at CB, Murray at RB and Irvine in CM.
  8. With Hoti a CM joining on loan makes me think Gary Irvine is going to be Fisher's partner in defence. Guess we'll find out when the teamsheet is announced tomorrow.
  9. Yeah Fisher will start, however, who joins him at centre half will be tricky it's either Meechan or Irvine. Coll isn't fully fit yet so whether he starts or whether he comes on second half for someone like Fisher or Meechan we'll have to see. I think Murray Mackintosh has been one of the best players during preseason although it was him who lost out to David Gray on Tuesday so would like to see him start at CM either alongside Thomas or Irvine (if he's not at CB) he's more effective in the middle of the park than at fullback, in my opinion.
  10. Ross Forbes to score a free kick after ditching us halfway through his contract for yourselves. It's a guarantee surely!
  11. Yes Forfar are using Pixellot. The friendly against Brechin went smoothly but it crashed for 10/15 minutes last night during the first half of the Hibs game but it was up and running before HT. The biggest issue is the AI camera not following the ball brilliantly and the fact it never zooms in.
  12. SPFL and the club website have just announced it. One of our players has COVID if more in the squad test positive our Hibs game may be under threat too. The club will make further announcements when they get more details, I'm sure.
  13. An injury ravelled squad before the first competitive game, a crazily tough Betfred Cup group in which we could easily lose all four matches! We're in for another tough old season!
  14. I 100% agree with the experience, I do think he's past his best though. If he hadn't have signed a contract extension in the summer I don't think the fans would've missed him.
  15. Gary Irvine was a good player a few years ago, he's come to Forfar well past his best, not impressed at all (mind you, you could say that about most of our squad last year) and then when he was arrested for a fight in a pub it turned the majority, if not whole, of the fanbase against him.
  16. Gary Irvine is undroppable! Sorry, something positive...err Murray and Meechs scored long range efforts.
  17. Maybe he can't fit into the kits? Realistically though I reckon he's out with an injury, I know Antoniazzi has a groin strain at the moment.
  18. Arbroath look like they controlled the whole game, inevitable that Hilly bagging a goal and two assists! The highlights were up quick tonight.
  19. They've put the highlights up, Broughty definitely looked like a better team than Carnoustie, interesting to see how we do against the Lichties.
  20. Wonder if Dan Hoban will get anytime in nets? If he does I hope it's more than just the last 5 minutes, I'd like to actually see him do something.
  21. CRIKEY! When Forfar announced Mark Hill had signed for us I thought he was going to be our star signing, instead he's just fighting Steven Doris for the biggest belly!
  22. Well he's signed now according to that interview so I guess he'll be listed as a player for tomorrow, wouldn't be surprised if he actually starts tomorrow and gets at least 45 minutes game-time. If Foxy had been a player last season he'd probably have been our best player, even at 37 he'd have done better than Gary Irvine, Scott Robertson and Mark Docherty!
  23. If you're talking about Foxy he wasn't listed as a trialist. According to the interview on Facebook Foxy will be a registered player to come off the bench in games.
  24. Comfortable win for Forfar by the looks of it, not overly surprising against a junior team, imagine the Ferry match on Tuesday will be similar, maybe a clean sheet! The Arbroath and Brechin games will be a good test to see if we're likely to be up the league or if we'll still be as shambolic as last season. Still, a hat-trick for Jordan Allan on his debut is good, more of that please!
