Someone has put a post on twitter of Rennie when he first joined us and now and he looks ill. Clearly not doing his health any good, maybe managing us is not for him.

Do we know for definite that there are no clauses in the contracts of any of the 12/13 that we are lumbered with in relation to failing to get us promoted etc.

Imagine our new board trying to get folk to part with ST money up front with Rennie still at the helm, in this current financial climate it will be a very hard sell to say the least.

First away game under Rennie I haven’t paid to stream, glad I didn’t as I absolutely cannot be arsed with this team. I will continue to pay into the FSS but cannot wait until the end of the season and hope to see some major changes come the summer.

I played in a number of the police, supporters, player tournaments at the back of Brockville. We won it one year, our player was Andy Seaton, he was excellent but we also had big Andy Hume in our team who I’m sure played at junior level but was a Bairns fan. They were great days and really built good relationships between the fans and players.

Makes you wonder the level the top pros are at, the likes of the English Prem, La Liga, Bundesliga players must be off the scale.

This was the second post on our thread from over 11 years ago, thing haven’t improved much for us as a club since then.

Our next managers first task should be to stop us being a laughing stock, which we most definitely are now. They also need to get some players in with a bit of bottle and dig about them as we are soft as shite. Other teams love playing us and until that’s reversed we will make no progress.

We aren’t getting promoted either, that’s for sure.

Listened to Rennies interview and it worries me he is still talking about catching QP, not a hope in hell of that happening. If I was him it would be the other end of the league I would be concerned about.

I would say that should definitely put paid to any thoughts of Rennie or Miller getting the gig next season. They have to try and put a positive spin on things pre-season to shift ST’s and if they appoint they two they haven’t got a hope in hell.

This is absolutely abysmal, I’m beginning to think we actually look worse than we did under Sheerin if that was possible.

How the f**k are this board going to sell ST’s next season, not one positive aspect to this club at the moment.

Talking of Falkirk Council, I see we are getting the highest council tax rise in Scotland

Another soulless construction, would rather stay in Falkirk or Grangemouth as opposing fans keep telling us.

I have to be honest and say I’ve never liked TFS and don’t think I ever will, It has never felt like our home. The main stand was a huge mistake when you look at the size and cost of it. I would have absolutely no issues if the opportunity ever came about for us to relocate away from there.

After games I go off on a rant about the management team and by midweek I have calmed down a wee bit and see things more reasonably. I think apart from possibly ATS what Rennie has brought in during January does appear to be a better calibre from previous transfer windows and with that in mind I’m swayed to give him the summer if that’s what the board decide. On the other hand as Bainsford Bairn posted recently we could still have 13 players in our squad from next season from the Holt/Sheerin debacle. Rennie and Miller have shown they can’t improve them so I’m not sure a summer window would matter if they don’t have the funds to punt a large number of these players. I would be looking to offload McKay, Ompreon, Wilson, Miller, Dixon, Holt, Ross. I would also offload either Mutch or Martin and bring in a new No.1 with the remaining of that pair being back up keeper and I would only keep 2 of Telfer, Nisbett, McGuffie and Morrison as they are too alike for a squad our size. Thats the perfect scenario and in an ideal world the new players coming in would be a better quality and have more fight and a stronger spine about them. I would not be against a hybrid model being used to achieve this. We all however know that things never materialise like that for us.

If we go into next season with a squad containing 13 players the manager doesn’t want then we have absolutely no chance before a ball is even kicked. We have to try and offload the vast majority of them as they are simply not good enough. It is a big financial risk as who knows we might not recruit a better calibre of player but any manager having more than half their squad consisting of players that aren’t up to the task will struggle no matter how good a manager they are.

Goodwillie is a despicable c**t who should never be allowed on a football park again and I am so glad we didn’t sign him. I however don’t get why nothing was said/done about him playing for Clyde for the past 5 seasons.

You are right and it might even take longer than two years, I’m just not convinced R&M are the people to get us there.

Looks like we are just going to have to draw a line under this season again and do another rebuild in the summer. I was all for giving Rennie the chance of doing this and giving him the time and resources in the summer but I’ve changed my mind on that front and I am now glad he only has 6 months. Our new board has probably the biggest 3 months coming up in our clubs recent history and they have to make the right choices. If we get the management appointment wrong then god knows when/if we will ever get back to the type of club that played in the top flight or challenged in the championship to get there. Our crowds have held up pretty well considering what we have been served up on the pitch but this won’t last forever.
