Home to bottom club East Fife and that’s as defensive a line up as we could possibly play. It truly is a trying time being a Bairn just now.

There isn’t really one player in our entire squad that would strike fear in the opposition now. We so need a Davie Nicholls, Crawford Baptie type character to fight our corner. As you say we are a team of fearties.

It does make you wonder if players get struck by the apathy bug as soon as they walk through our doors, especially when some go on to do okay at other clubs.

Dixons half hearted attempt at a clearance as well was a disgrace, he looked like he couldn’t be arsed, both when attempting the clearance and when the Peterhead player scored.

To be honest I just think we are a bad side, we don’t defend particularly well, the midfield isn’t great and we don’t score loads of goals. Griffiths no doubt doesn’t look fit and £1500 a week is a huge gamble to spend on one player for a club in League 1.

Even Harry Kinnear would struggle to score goals in this Falkirk side, we don’t create a huge amount of chances for our frontmen. I still think Griffiths would score a few if we created more.

I see QP play their game in hand next week against Peterhead. Part of me wants QP to win this as being honest we have zero chance of going up with this squad and I don’t want us getting dragged into the playoffs at the other end as I’m not convinced this mob would get us out of it.

I agree the summer and appointments/recruitment of players is probably going to make or break our future as a club. If we get it wrong again we are probably humped for a long time if that isn’t already the case. It will be interesting to see the ST numbers, a decent manager and some signings early doors could make the difference. I don’t think Jack Ross would touch us with a barge pole just now. Last night was awful but I feel to say only two players looked like they cared is a tad harsh. I though Kabia, Mutch, Mills and Dowds were okay but the rest were utter shite.

I agree, we probably have a budget that is compatible with a number of Championship sides, there is maybe an issue in attracting players to this level of football so we are paying over the odds for players that don’t justify the wages and then as you say have to pay the majority of them off. Whatever has gone before we need to try a different approach. I would like to see us try and blend in maybe 3/4 top end part time players and see how that goes. Even just until we manage to get out of L1 and then look towards going full time again. We definitely need to try something different.

Rovers only had about 2 or 3 part time players at most. Thomson, Grant Anderson and I think McGurn was about it. That would probably be the kind of numbers I would be looking at, but players at the top end of the part time market.

I was all for giving him as much time as he needed, in fact I was for giving him a longer contract than the 6 months to let him have a summer transfer window but that has changed. The football is absolutely awful, team selections and the continual 3 5 2 set up plus the persistence of trying to play out from the back with players who aren’t capable has convinced me he isn’t the man for the job.

Do we wait until the end of the season or do we try and identify someone for the job now. Granted Rennie will be here until May probably but hopefully the board are discussing potential targets. I also think we may have to look at the full time set up as we truly are scraping the bottom of the full time player barrel and would be better trying to get some of the cream of the part time crop.

I agree, thought Mills looked comfortable on the ball and seemed the only one of our back 5 not to panic when the ball came near him. Dowds put himself about but got nothing from the ref who was abysmal for both sides and made some bizarre decisions.

Most definitely, only one team looking to win that game and it wasn’t us.

That was as bad as anything under Sheerin. Absolutely hopeless, I can’t see any improvement under Rennie. Looks like another experiment has failed for FFC.

This has been an absolute horror show, we are such a poor side. We honestly can’t string two passes together. I’m struggling to see any improvement under Rennie.

If Jaze is a long term injury, we are a well and truly fucked.

If we get beat tonight Rennie has to start feeling the pressure. I’ve supported him so far but this formation he is sticking with and the trying to play out from the back isn’t working for him so far.
