Played Brislington tonight (western prem). Had to be behind closed doors. How did things go with the players etc, all turn up in single cars, no showers - was that at Ironmould Lane ? Guessing you didn't use the clubhouse after ? All interesting stuff to get things going somehow.

Maybe a new stadium, naming rights, portable pitch, other events being staged. Lack of investment usually ends in a crap,poor looking stadium, all depends is say Coca Cola can imagine 10-20 sell out gigs, which would make up for 5 or 6 games of football. Out of interest, what % of Scottish fans come from outside the 2 big cities ?

Think Scottish football will be ok without salary caps,the money is basically created by the big two and the tv deals. Can't imagine clubs would be wildly overspending (look at the sickening debts in the EPL) Covid19 aside, we don't hear many stories about clubs on the verge of collapse in Scotland - not exactly overrun with sugar daddies up north, think clubs will just tighten their belts.

Think any club who can average 4-5,000 isn't doing too bad, considering the power of Glasgow, Edinburgh. Suppose the startling thing to an outsider is seeing a club get 500 in a professional league,whether they're part time or not. Think we have to take average crowds against a much changed world nowadays - with the many options that people have on offer.

Wracking my brain to see a beneficial reconstruction for Scotland, just can't see anything coming to fruition anytime soon. Clubs are so defensive of the 42, would like to see the biggest 6 non lge clubs make it into the spfl sometime. Guess that the OF are like chains around the clubs, can't live without them it seems. Am sure the fans would like something new, but don't know what exactly.

Forget the Juniors, I'm sure that you can make the step up into West Senior football, then get spotted by a scout - go and enjoy the game wherever you end up. Go West young man

Must confess I've seen bits of pass and move in a few games, and a few players who shouldn't have tried to do it ! Saw an excellent game at Holm Park : scottish amateurs v central, impressed by the standard and attitude on show. Can't wait to get back to Scotland, see a few more games,visit some new grounds.

Unless you have height restrictions on players and fans I guess. Training lights low down when the balls up in the air

Imagine that many fan's situations have or will change, so the initial outlay for season tickets may be beyond them now. How many would Stranraer usually sell ? Think the cleaning costs are being placed on clubs (by government ruling) rather than a necessity that needs to be done regularly, as no ground can be 100% safe.

Really hard to see a reconstruction that benefits all, obviously the league is top heavy with little or no chance of success. Don't see the clubs in League's 1 & 2 ever growing into a top 12 set up, so I'm guessing that the target is to get more non league clubs involved somehow, maybe bringing along attendances of 1,000+ to boost the coffers. Would there ever be a real interest in growing the 42 upto say 48, into divisions of 12 ?

Is that the cynical reality ? Thought I did a good fairy story with possibly a happy ending, expect the money to runout fairly soon then ! One question, put money into Scottish Junior/Senior club, can see the fanbase etc, where in all honesty do these people expect to end up ? Possibly turn a non league club into a mid size spfl club at most I'd say.

Good points, think the North juniors are happy with their lot , reality over ambition to move upwards,sensible I'd say. Am guessing that a HL 2 wouldn't include any clubs with much to offer tbh, the NCL feeder looks good and gives clubs a decent starting point to progress. Would the Tayside thing be a large number of clubs entering ? A bit like the Sth West Peninsula League down here, miles from anywhere,with the Western Lge based some 100 miles further north.

Just throwing this into the mix, say the O.F disappear into some Euro Elite Lge or something far fetched. This puts a different perspective on things, how would you reconstruct for the benefit of all clubs ? 2 divs with 3 up and down ? Only an idea

Would the HL clubs ever say 'we don't want any more clubs or divisions because that would hamper our chances of gaining promotion etc ? Just a thought, seems like the NCLfeeder is well accepted, while the Tayside area/clubs are almost hated - like having to go to Beirut for a game !

Good luck with the pre season spending, amassing a decent side at that level. Hopefully the money-man will stick around for a few seasons to build the club,and not disappear when the going gets tough. Wonder what his motives actually are with the club , and where they want to go ?

Yeah cracking weather, I quite enjoyed the game ! Another excellent non lge ground in Scotland, another cover on the open side would be good. That was the last game I saw, sadly ruined by the death of the old guy outside afterwards. Worth another visit sometime, definitely.

Christ how desperate can you get ? Can understand when players follow a manager etc, but for £5 more. Wonder what he was on in the first place ?

Restart ? We had games around this area yesterday with supporters, going by the Twitter pictures they definitely weren't socially distanced ! Selfish as usual, we must go to a game, stuff the virus etc. Some clubs have been training 4 weeks now, quite open about it too. Different world down here.

Cautious optimism whenever a local businessman/woman shows an interest - hopefully someone can benefit from the 'no strings' offer of help. I'm sure that local fans will help clubs like Bathgate, who need extra committee people on board - the old guys can't go on forever !

Sorry for being downbeat, aren't the floodlight stanchions a bit low down ? Maybe you can alter the height afterwards, the LED will be an improvement I would guess.

Looks like a good number of clubs are chasing a licence asap, would natural progression see a change in the promotion and relegation places available ? or is the closed shop mentality going to get stronger. Fair play to all clubs getting their grounds improved, lights etc, massive step forward.

Expect if you visit a majority of clubhouses you will still see the brown envelopes making an appearance, guessing most of the £ comes from a sponsors pocket - the legality beyond my brain cells. Always hoped that players enjoyed the game, and then at a certain level - they chase the money. I know many players who have moved clubs for a extra £20 a week, sad really.

Are any of the promoted clubs having a banner saying 'Promoted unfairly' as we could have blown it if we'd played all the games. Hopefully the season kicked off ok yesterday,no large gatherings outside the grounds etc. Are all the clubs involved in streaming the games now, and how does this work in spfl 1 & 2 ?

Hearts fans are boycotting BCD games,so there,that's telling you all. Not sure if you can take much of their stuff seriously tbh, found the bit about making Tynecastle a fortress and scaring all visitors quite funny - always find fans taking it to extremes. Just create a rocking atmosphere, win all your home games and romp to the title - then we can talk reconstruction after that.

Maybe that's the reason then, up to 30 spread about the ground. Thought that had been changed - ps step 7 is County League level downwards I think. Looking at the Arsenal fans in a pub, looks as if it's all back to normal down south.
