  1. Seems like the Tayside club will travel - but other clubs can't be bothered in going to Tayside (not exactly way out of reach) Think it needs the Tayside to apply to leagues and see if they get knocked back or encouraged. Maybe just get used to the North juniors being out on their own, keep the junior fans happy at least.
  2. Brilliant effort, give you a knighthood we have one thing down here Bristol Soccer world, which collates non league and local grassroots, usually updated midweek somehow. Guess he's got links with the various leagues etc. Keep up the good work.
  3. The FA statement only goes down to County level, so the parks league's below that are in limbo - no way they can do testing, the cramped dressing rooms and the reliability on car sharing to get to games. Not singing and dancing just yet, but at least they have a plan with dates. Come on Scotland ! Wonder if this could apply to lower Senior League football up north ?
  4. Maybe because they put other teams at risk, along with their own team-mates and staff ? By the time the snail authorities do anything we may just have a rise in cases, all because clubs just couldn't wait for the green light to go. Hyped up ? Maybe it's concern eh.
  5. Quite right,it's likely that the training issues are being discussed behind the scenes , phone calls, bollockings, any fines or warnings won't be made public - maybe just a blanket warning across the leagues telling clubs what's expected from them. Expect there are hundreds of events going on around the UK that shouldn't be, hard to police everything.
  6. Read it again, almost makes it a different cup IF there's been a large turn over of players. It's only a statistical thing to finish the SJC as it's future isn't great, sadly. Think my concentration levels are slipping !
  7. Is that just coz they've moved into Senior football, different players etc ? Would it be a surprise as it's probably not gonna be any of the big 3 or 4. Always nice to see a big club struggle for a change, will keep my eyes on that one. Give it 3 years and clubs will be in their rightful place I guess.
  8. A shock team, what like the sponsor walks away leaving a club in tatters, player revolt, having to play their under 20's to finish the season, Nope too far fetched for me ! Never gonna happen is it ?
  9. Would suggest that all players who have moved clubs are not able to play in the SJC 19/20. Sure that it won't involve too many players to be honest, and if the junior -senior switch messes things up, the just don't finish the cup. Have a mini tournament to decide the Scottish Cup place involving say all the remaining clubs, round robin thing or something.
  10. Call it junior, parks, amateur, jumpers for goalposts etc - but don't try and stop ambitious clubs from trying to progress. Can see vast improvement in grounds already - this would not have happened in the Juniors. Guess if clubs aren't happy with the WOSFL set up , then can they go back to amateur status ?
  11. Quite correct, with County League champions, possibly 2nd and 3rds applying to the league above - along with clubs from many other counties and leagues -a decent feeder system I suppose. Then we get the regular dilemma of clubs moving sideways to similar leagues. As said, above step 7 things do get a bit more serious- semi pro level where money can be earnt. Scotland, give it time to work.
  12. Seems like the Hearts fans are happy with the state of the club, over ownership etc, and are willing to keep the cash flowing into the club ,very admirable. At the outset I'd guess most other clubs may have tried the legal route to save their skins, but to possibly see some clubs go to the wall is a shame. Just accept whatever £ is offered and get on with things. Players on ridiculous contracts, who's to blame for that mess ?
  13. Think in reality next season will just have to be 'get the league finshed' with cups taking a back seat/or a year off until things stabilise. Be good for the SFA to make a statement of how any future seasons will be decided IF things go wrong again-covering ALL football.
  14. , I'm sure that the committee men did their best for the juniors, but as with every league in the UK it's time for younger people to start helping. We'll still get the obligatory Joe Bloggs Memorial Trophies here and there, but it's time to move on and get organised. The current goings on make the Bristol and Suburban League look absolutely brilliant ! As to the West clubs being told to leave a sinking ship, truth hurts
  15. Noticed on the WordPress Twitter feeds that some clubs were provisionally arranging friendlies for September, can't remember exactly. Be good to get a start date, then the WOSFL can release a professional looking fixture list for all to enjoy !
  16. Thats brilliant, least this lot were funny ! Must be some classic trio's willing to arbitrate for a few quid.
  17. Long way to go yet, let's allow the committee chaps to work their way through the normal fixtures before adding how to finish the season - they'll be using pen and paper to organise everything, no computers etc Good luck everyone. Option D, and personally I'm against all splits to be honest. (Apart from Banana)
  18. I know that the West are now in a senior league, but with the probability that fixtures may be a struggle - could a midweek game be played at a neutral ground ? as there are plenty of 3g with lights, or do games have to be played at the designated 1st team ground ?
  19. Shouldn't worry over that as it's likely to be p-p anyway ! Hopefully the North Juniors see the light, just to be part of the pyramid a start of something big. Down here in jolly Bristol we had years of County Champions not wanting to join the Hellenic as that would include trips to the Oxford area (70 mls) many clubs finding the financial problems in the bigger leagues, getting crowds of under 200.
  20. October ? Can't compete with the Great Poets Society I'm afraid ! Any idea when the Highland AGM takes place ?
  21. Elvis is dead ? I'm all shook up. Hopefully the non lge will get started September, with fans allowed to attend - with restrictions. Have the kick offs always been 2pm ? which I don't mind, though I would like a few more midweek games, using the lights - that's why clubs installed them isn't it ?
  22. Read the grassroots return to training thing, definitely quite a bit of work to be done before clubs can legally get back - no problem with clubs being spied on from the bushes/tinted window cars etc IF they shouldn't be training yet. Be nice to get a statement from the powers that be, stating who's been caught.
  23. Seems like the season starts ok, the SFA meet in February and then the finish to the season can be finalised. Hopefully loads of clubs will want to get licensed asap, really be a boost to the non lge game - really strong clubs licensed and ready to push upwards. Must be an improvement from the juniors, surely, imagine one non lge club getting into the spfl every year, frightening for the big boys
  24. Hopefully the North Juniors will come to realise that it's positive to join the pyramid and progress upwards - are many clubs interested or is that why they don't bother ? Would be good for any ambitious Nth Juniors to see a clear pathway to senior levels. Guess if the league isn't interested in the pyramid, then clubs will have to join whatever league is available- whether there's too much travelling or not.
  25. Slightly different but just imagine Hearts won the title on PPG, would be glorious when Budgie hands the trophy back, oh no this isn't fair on the other clubs. A points deduction prior to season, then Hearts refuse to play - maybe the other clubs can have +6 PTS seeing as Hearts are red hot favourites in Edinburgh bookies.
