  1. Feel that it must be a pre season finish to the 19/20  SJC so that we can concentrate on the new season. Could be a big send off for the Junior Cup, attracting a big attendance if allowed. Would be a great pre season finish to play games under the lights.

  2. Amazed how confusing the Amateur set up is, really needs sorting out to make things better. Can only say about my experiences in Bristol running a club. Lge handbook would have secretary, ground, colours etc. Fixtures would go to the council to book pitches for the entire season - paid in two installments. Seems too many leagues in Scotland having just one division, hope things work out.

Cool cool lets se how good the winter is and hopefully we can get started at the same time as the lower leagues

Are the proposed start dates just for behind closed doors ? or is that decision yet to come ? Never did work out why Scotland made the leagues smaller but make you play home, away, home again - no need to play 3 times is there ? Hopefully things will get better and we can get back to the game.

With the greatest of respect an english football ground hopping support telling people who have supported the scottish junior football grade for decades who cares move on??  Really??

How about you stick to commenting on issues you know a little about rather than telling people from afar what to do and not do.

    Thanks

Quite correct, I am English and know nothing about the Junior game, thanks for telling me. Just for your info, I've been visiting Scotland 3 or 4 times a season for the last 5 years watching loads of games. Guessing that someone who supported a Junior club WILL NOT follow their club into the Seniors ? Well done👏

  5. Agree 100% if I can try and see inside their minds it sounds like a Senior club are trying to play in a Junior Cup - bit like Man City or someone  playing in  the FA Trophy. Call yourself Glasgow Brickworks FC and play non bricked, who cares ? The Juniors have gone, they were great times, let's move on please.

  6. Boring but every F.A does not like getting beaten, even questioning a booking/sending off can lead to a longer ban, heavier fine. As to Hearts, well, 1)overspent a big budget 2) lost a vast majority of games 3) other teams had the cheek to beat them 4) took part in the end of season vote and 5) believe they are bigger than the spfl and law of the land. HOW UNFAIR LIFE IS ⚖️

  7. Admit some of that maybe true, looking ahead, what can these sort of clubs aspire to ? or are they just happy to be part of the spfl ? Hopefully the big hitters of non league can find their way through - could spfl2 be enlarged, just playing home and away ? As with the English Leagues some clubs have their time and then sink back to their level, Stoke, Ipswich etc. Guess that lower Scottish clubs have a smaller pool of players to pick from, makes it difficult.

  8. What happens when Hearts go down, fail to perform as title favourites and finish 5th...do they say it's unfair to keep them down coz they're a big club ? No club should be taking season ticket money yet, only when fans are allowed in. Guessing that every Hearts home game will be sold out in the Minor Championship ? Putting players on stupid money has to include a relegation clause, common sense.

  9. Would be excellent news to see the North Juniors progress at their own pace to join the pyramid, some clubs possibly won't be interested or be financially unable, would be positive move though - then we'll get the Juniors mustn't die rants on here again.

  10. October to May around 32 weeks, just needs a bad winter to upset things. Wonder if the WOSFL plan on arranging many night fixtures to get games played ? that on say Tues/weds would be great. The spfl should be able to get games cleared including night matches. Being a late start to the season, would they have a winter break again ?

Can understand the 'No Chance' comment over the spfl but this shouldn't apply to non league where crowds rarely go above 500, a number that can easily be distanced around the ground. Unless a spike occurs across Scotland then again it's a case of being rational over covid19. Almost as if the government couldn't give a damn about non league/grassroots. No surprises there emoji109.png

There is "no chance" of crowds in August at WoSFL games because there won't be any games in August.

Didn't mention August, if October seems a non starter then season 20/21 could almost be abandoned before a ball is kicked - or will have to be planned out differently. Heaven forbid some other virus coming for winter (swine flu now in China again)

Edinburgh is a city where if it's not a hotel and it's not student accommodation it's not likely to get built.

Out with Tynecastle and Easter Road, Ainslie Park is the best football ground. Edinburgh Uni have a nice ground too but it's a bit small. The other half decent facility is the Oriam- indoor football anyone?!

Apart from Murrayfield and Meggatland, there are three rugby grounds with stands, being Myreside, Goldenacre and Stewart's Melville but I don't think the facilities are that great at those. Edinburgh rugby have played at various grounds over the years, including Meadowbank, and Myreside before coming back to Murrayfield and mini Murrayfield is probably being built for them

If you put in a big stand, ripped up the running track and built a toilet block etc. Saughton Enclosure has potential I suppose

Went to Lothian this season, plenty of room to grow but guess the residents may grumble - saw a game on the outside 3g at Oriam, too much work tbd to meet spfl criteria. Guessing it's a ground share with maybe a rugby club, or a total rebuild of some rundown area.
