  1. The line by its very nature has an influence on all leagues, directly or indirectly. Ignore it and we open up the scenario of Forfar West End in the LL, and Forfar Athletic in the HL. So the EoS cannot escape the fact that the demarcation line exists and they have to be mindful of its potential impact further up the tree, they know this. Would the LL accept an EoS Champion from north of the line for example? That's a different issue from clubs applying, as you say anyone can apply for any league (as West Lothian/WoS demonstrated), it doesn't mean to say they will be accepted. There has been a desire from some within the EoS to set a northern boundary to match the HL/LL line, this issue will probably settle it once and for all. As for travel, that almost certainly will colour some clubs attitudes, understandably. As will the upheaval of trying to accomodate Tayside into the sturucture.
  2. You remind me of someone, I can't quite place it.............
  3. I don't think the line is a red herring. I'm surprised they have gone public because they will know that the chances of being accepted are 50/50 at very best. I guess it will settle the issue once and for all.
  4. @ForfarWestEndJFC ANNOUNCEMENT: The club would like to announce that we have officially submitted an application to join the East of Scotland Football League next season. This is a significant move for the club and a decision that has not been taken lightly however, following weeks of consultation with the committee and management, it has been unanimously decided that this is the best route forward for the club. Should our application be successful, it will see us move into the SFA tiered system. Further updates will be provided in due course.
  5. 16 days before the transfer window slams shut for another year.
  6. So which lower Premier club are you connected to Truthy? best go back into hibernation, fishing isn't great this time of year.
  7. Yellow card to churches? no, open them up and have 50 God botherers in there instead...........
  8. Many people are still off for the two days, and it's a popular time for holidays in a normal situation. 2nd and 5th April this year.
  9. So stay at home stays in place for Easter? I'm going to assume many people will largely ignore that.
  10. My understanding is that any idea of a LL2 has largely been shelved. It was in reaction to the possibility of the WRJFA / ERJFA entering the Pyramid, where a LL2 West / East would push them further down the pecking order, and give the LL control of tier 6. That threat no longer exists.
  11. Very bizarre, I've also heard that at least one West Lothian club (not Harthill) still think they have a chance of joining the WoS. I wonder what goes through people's minds at times.
  12. WaffenThinMint, there's blast from the past. Whatever happened to him.

  14. From a Scotland perspective, if we jag at an average rate of 30k from tomorrow onwards, we should hit every adult by the first week in June. The FT seems to indicate second week, so not far off.
  15. I dont disagree, but worst case scenario as things stand is absolute normality comes 1st September, or at least it should do.
  16. At the very latest, all restrictions should be gone by 1st September.
  17. I'm not defending blanket quarantine, but it'll be gone just as soon as international travel comes back, with maybe a few real trouble spots remaining on the list.
  18. I can book Edinburgh to Palma right now for May on easyJet. If its SG uncertainty affecting route availability, why are those flights still operating pre and post 17th May? Head in the sand stuff?
