Off The Ball - Is it good?
Caledonian1 replied to Buddist Monk's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Nah, I have booked him before and he is definitely not that expensive. Have to be honest he is very good value. -
Scotlands games to be broadcast on Nordic streaming platform.
Caledonian1 replied to Lofarl's topic in Tartan Army Ramblings
Nah, families on tight budgets, pensioners and those already paying tv subscriptions elsewhere are all crying out for Viaplay to increase their subscriptions!! We get it, you don't care for others and their particular financial circumstances. As long as you can afford to watch Scotland games it does not matter if others cannot. Perhaps the aforementioned financially strapped groups of people have more pressing concerns above taking to the streets to demonstrate. The very fact that there is this thread and a majority ridiculing your selfish position suggests that this is a big issue and will be amplified as Scotland continue to do well and interest is high from all sections of the population in Scotland. -

would hardly say she lost the plot. She gave the penalty then reviewed it on the screen and correctly changed her mind. This was an example of VAR working as it should. Obviously the penalty that PSG got should not have been given

Interesting seeing this article on the same page - Pope Francis cancels COP28 visit over illness - BBC News That is from yesterday and he was due to fly to Dubai on Friday. Looks as if the Pope cancelled his trip to COP28 so that he could meet Brendan and Liam Scales. Pope Francis really has some explaining to do to the world leaders........he has been caught oot skiving bonnie

This is some game.....would be hilarious is Galatasaray go on to win from 2-0 and 3-1 down I have only ever seen Galatasaray play once (in their old stadium v John Collins and Thi)erry Henrys Monaco) Thats the only time I have been at a match when the teams went off (for 30 mins) due to lightening.......could ahem lightening strike twice

Scotlands games to be broadcast on Nordic streaming platform.
Caledonian1 replied to Lofarl's topic in Tartan Army Ramblings
Thats incredibly unfair......I have the £59 year long deal with Viaplay but I would like to see it on terrestrial tv so that it is available to all - the poor, the unemployed, families who have more pressing priorities, all those on a pension....dont you want everyone to experience such highs as we did during the Spain victory at Hampden? -
was in the Coop earlier and couldn't find the Alpen - "what kind of shop doesnt have Alpen" Wasn't going to buy Crunchy Nut cornflakes though "quite expensive I believe"

Rory McIlroy beats Tiger Woods to PGA Tour's $15m Player Impact Programme top prize - BBC Sport I had no idea that this existed.........$15m for pretty much doing nothing........how on earth can there be a $150m prize pot for this nonsense, surely there are better ways of distributing surplus cash? Would be good if Rory gave it all to junior programmes or such.

Excellent day at the European Finals yesterday. The mens final was as expected, unbelievably tight between Scotland and Sweden and went down to the last stone in the extra end - Mouat and his team winning their fourth Euros v Sweden the current Olympic champs. I have been working a volunteer team driver for a few days - yesterday it was an utter pleasure to ferry teams back and forth from the hotel - there was a big piss up at the rink in the evening and it was wonderful to see all teams mix so well - they are all so friendly and really appreciative of the volunteers efforts. Had a really good chat with Oskar Eriksson the Swedish third - took them back to the hotel soon after losing the final. - really nice guy who was described in the commentary as probably the best curler in the world

Scotland V Sweden final tomorrow in the mens competition. Perfectly set up European and World Champs v Olympic Gold medalists. I am on duty for transporting teams to / from hotel to rink so hopeful that I can get in the rink for the match (it is a sell out) It will be on BBC iplayer / BBC Scotland Sport website and hopefully on tv? It is 2pm on Saturday. Will be at the rink tonight for Switzerland v Italy bronze medal match.......

Seems strange to be following scoring for the 2024 season already - even Bob is 9 holes into the new season - three days after last season finished. Currently -1 and in joint 7th . Adam Scott leads on -3

A Photographic History Of Scottish Football
Caledonian1 replied to Mon Dieu's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Interesting to see what football was on tv overthe weekend - I can't recall Scotsport being on a Saturday night and Sportscene being on a Sunday - thought it was always the other way round.
