  1. Jeeso...Klopp is right.....just switched on the West Ham v Man Utd game and there is no atmosphere at all. I would imagine close to a 60,000 crowd and there is no atmosphere (I am sure kick off time doesnt help)
  2. dont think so just went to app store and added spotify. I never lisen to podcasts and wanted to see how to do that as well as listen to some music that is not on my itunes
  3. I have only this week added the Spotify app to my iphone. I have not signed up to any premium version (or dont think I have) and it seems i am able to play music without listening to adverts - is this normally how it works - do you get a period of time without adverts and then they kick in and become annoying.? Or do you get a period of time for free then they start charging? Never used it before and I am not the most tech savy but would appreciate advice.
  4. I really cant make my mind up on this. Seems the XL Bullies will be eplacing the gammony tories who are moving south to save £11 or so per month in tax? Is that right? Is it one to one.....would be good if the both were moved across the border in the same transport - a dog van with a cage.
  5. Really struggling to understand this statement from Barcelona ""Barcelona will try to promote methods to improve current European competitions in an open and fully meritocratic format, making football more sustainable for the club, much more supportive of amateur football, more attractive and affordable for fans around the world. This proposal aims to improve football as a whole." How on earth does the super-league improve the likes of Monymusk v Auchnagatt Barons.....is there a route to the "Star League" from Aberdeenshire Amateurs?
  6. Inflation could sit at zero for a couple of years and the coffee would remain at £2.19. You would need deflation to get it back to the £1.25. Incidentally it is the coffee that I buy, indistinguishable from similar from Taylor of Harrogate which hovers around the £3.75 mark in tesco.
  7. maybe I am wrong - "Matches would be played in midweek, allowing the new competition to be run in tandem with European domestic leagues." Hopefully a similar backlash to this proposal to the previous oine a couple of years ago.....
  8. I assumed that you would only participate in the European league as the top tier has 16 teams (home and away?) then a knock out competition for the top 8. Domestic leagues will be feeder leagues for this nonsense as 20 (twenty) teams get relegated from the bottom tier - allowing 20 new teams to enter (for one year only in all likelihood)
  9. "The bottom 20 teams in the Blue league would be relegated from the competition entirely and replaced by the top-performing clubs from European domestic leagues." Lose your first three or so games in this 32 team division and it is pretty clear that you ar going to get relegated (20 out of 32 teams!!) there will be an unprecendented number of meanignless games. Say Aberdeen get into th Blue league courtesy of winning the Scottish league (in the absence of Celtic and Rangers in the first year who will likely get parachuted into this bottom tier - and face relegation immediately.....) I could see them playing away to Helsinki on a Saturday then a mid-week game at FC Plovdiv on the Tuesday followed by a home glamour tie v Quarabag. It's ill thought out nonsense and those creating this only really care for the top tier (Star league....hoho) the Gold and Blue leagues are a sop to the teams who would never make the top tier (hence only 2 relegated as opposed to 20 from the bottom tier) I am convince this European Super League will include Saudi Arabia
  10. Can't imagine the likes of Sky happy that a new rival league is free either. Havent they just signed up a big deal with English fitba. With the number of teams proposed I can only assume this will be the death knell for domestic leagues as we know it (apart from Scotland where there may well be a competitive domestic league for a change once the old and infirm inevitably move on to this nonsense) Can only imagine anything involving 64 european teams is looking to involve at least 8 of the "big" teams from the major leagues.....and potentially only one from the Highland League?
  11. Celtic already ruling themselves out of participation in the Blue League............just cos..... Waiting for confirmation if Aberdeen will get priority boarding into Star League as they have twice as many stars as any other Scottish team. Hibs miss out on the Gold league after the passing of Lex Is this how it works.....?
  12. I am more getting at those complaining about the new tax band that kicks in at £75k and higher rate tax payers at £125k. Predictably I see some of the right wing "Scottish" papers today have headlines about people in the financial services industry moving to England because of higher taxes in Scotland - however, there are never examples given and I am not convinced people move house to save a few hundred pounds or at most two or three thousand for the £125k tax payers. All very reminiscent of a certainly Michelle Mone going to the paers anytime the SNP won an election saying she would move to England - she did eventually move to the Isle of Man but that was not to avoid the SNP rather the HMRC. I wonder whatever happened to her? I am not going to lie if I suddenly came upon a £60m windfall I may just be tempted to buy an overseas holiday home myself......but would pay my tax dues in Scotland and suspect I may have enough left over to live a decent life.
  13. I had a quick look at Linkedin earlier - full of gammony tory greedy entitled p***ks - I really wish they would go ahead with their threats to move from Scotland now that they are paying around £150pa extra on their £80k salary - wait til they see house prices in England and have to pay for Uni, prescriptions, water bills and poorer services. They would contribute more if they didnt use tax avoidance schemes and overseas bank accounts
  14. I really like Rangers but I am not sure if they will win the league this year so possibly Celtic (will wait for the game on the 30th December) I am really lucky as I also support Real Madrid and Bayer Munich and have a softspot for Manchester City* * whilst this is of course complete bollocks I genuinely believe there are people who support the aforementioned teams (at the same time)
  15. We all know that the refs favour the Old and Infirm but placing him in your wall really is a step too far.
  16. This is the most interesting piece from that article. Whilst I find it difficult to believe a word that Lord Sugar and Lady Mone ever have said I really don't believe he was only 8 when The Apprentice began in 2005. The billionaire, 26, had tried to argue he qualified for non-residency - a person who does not live in Britain and spends no more than 90 days in the UK a year.
  17. Great !! the big triple.....uninterested, unavailable and physically repulsed. No matter how many times I watch Peep Show I never get used to how unbelievably good looking Elena is.
  18. "It's not a crime" to lie. aye, Fred West should have lied more and he may just have got away with it. What a horrible cow she is.....like many others i think this orchestrated media campaign is to paint her as the victim (just most victims dont end up £60m richer) Why did Kuennesburg travel to see her? Surely should have gone to London / Manchester for the interview - dont feel comfortable having the public purse pay for this pish. Does Isle of Man keep her safe from UK prosecution?
  19. Once again a Rangers team without any Scottish players. Come on the Dons do it for Scotland
  20. thank you for your insightful input Nostradamus Energy prices are rising by 5% in January: find out how much more you'll pay Gas and electricity price cap is set to add £7.83 per month to average bills
  21. ^^^ should be posted in Michelle Mone thread........
  22. Only 4% of your gross salary over £75,000 though....doesnt really impact too many people hence why it will only raise circa £60m
  23. That was only 40 years ago next Tuesday. Probably right though (although it has to be said it was a dead rubber in all fairness)
  24. I dont think thats a dig at Annan Athletic to be honest
