  1. Expensive way of geting hold of a packet of Monster Munch, but if he gotta have it...
  2. I do wonder how referees approach this game - both of their employers involved, so to speak. I see each side got a penalty. That's one solution, I suppose. A draw also presumably reduces the amount of post-match domestic abuse. Given that the exodus usually starts about 15 minutes from the end (especially if they're getting beat), how many Ranjurs supporters saw their 2nd and 3rd goals?
  3. Tom English was making a good point - there are already laws to cover Old Firm bigotry songs, but there're never used and the new Hate Crime law will make no difference. Stewart kept interrupting to argue hysterically that the new law is rubbish. Of course it is. We all know that. But here, it's not the point. The Ranjurs and Sellick 'fans' were awfy civilised, well-spoken makers of 'podde kastes', whatever they are. Be more fun if they brought on more, ahem, typical representatives.
  4. I think their exits south have broken the link they had with grassroots girls. You're right about Little (who retired to focus on her, er, big money club...) but we also miss Jen Beattie. Whom Pedro tended not to pick.
  5. My suspicions about why a team that used to be exciting and inspiring have gone to pot are twofold: 1 Top players going to big money leagues and having their heads turned. 2 Pedro is a rubbish manager.
  6. Should be home to see the second half and be at Hampden for Tuesday. And stop being a rubbish manager, Pedro.
  7. Even if there's carnage on the pitch AND off the pitch it'll be minimised in the press and the atmosphere will be praised and KMaC will tell us there are so, so many talking points after this big, big match and the fights and the vandalism and the punch drunk stewards and victims of domestic abuse will be hushed up. But next time one wee eedjit chucks a pyro at, say, Motherwell v Ross County the Daily Record will be FEWMIN.
  8. It eventually mentions the incident - surely the worst but possibly least-reported pyro incident this season - in the second-last paragraph but doesn't link it to the pic.
  9. It was a good afternoon out. Great set-up at Broadwood and the pies have massively improved since Clyde days.
  10. Matthew Lindsay writing mince. OK, he always does, but odd that he should raise this old chestnut just after we've played a team whose anthem is the offensive funeral dirge GSTK. Just stick to writing gush-pieces about the Uglies, ML, so's we know to ignore your stuff. https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/24220511.flower-scotland-s-e-anthem---bin-euro-2024/
  11. Yup, League Cup in 2016. Difn't see any official videoing going on which is a shame given the quality of our second and third. Impressive set-up for CC at Broadwood, but any team with their own stadium looks impressive to us.
  12. Just seen the SFA post on Facebook announcing last night's jersey auction. Bit of Haud Me Back, there.
  13. Patterson got into good positions, collected some terrific passes, and then usually distributed the ball straight to an NI player or into the West or East stand. I hadn't been aware that he wasn't getting games for his club, which might explain some lack of sharpness. But not why he was given so long on the pitch.
  14. Aw. Poor wee Small Part of England. It's a pure shame so it is.
  15. Yes, we struggle when teams sit in. And we struggle when they don't (Spain, France, Netherlands). What did we learn? - how about, when we play Germany, do what NI did to us
  16. So we can't beat the top nations and... Half-dreading the Euros now.
  17. The body check on McTominay late on should have been yellow.
  18. Thank the Lord I was working until 8 tonight or I'd be there watching that. Don't agree with booing your own team, though. A disgruntled silence would be better. These days I dislike NI and Wales intensely. Albeit not to England levels.
  19. https://www.bbc.com/sport/articles/c2jx9vp25mmo He may not be a very good national team manager, but credit to Pedro for standing up for the young Thistle keeper against the fud Barton.
  20. Heading for Broadwood this Saturday. Used to go with my ICT-by-marriage hat on when in the same division as Clyde. Tenner to get in - I take it the pie stall is open?
  21. Perhaps they are trying to throw it. It would help from an ICT point of view if the next six teams in the league would chuck in the towel as well. Although I suppose that might begin to look a wee bit suspicious.
  22. The BBC dahn sahf is transfixed by Manager/Player pre-match press conferences and is convinced that the general public is too. (Of course, perhaps the armchair moneybags league fanboys are.) It tends to be desperate stuff. Even genuinely interesting, intelligent blokes like Klopp looking bored and not wanting to be there, mumbling yes, we have injuries, tough game, difficult place to go, it's all about goals, a result at the end of the day. Albeit presented as if it's some wise man pronouncing on the meaning of life. I've heard it suggested that it's because it's the nearest thing to live football the BBC gets, most of the time.
  23. The BBC website had a Have Your Say, their clunky c2003-style commenting forum on the Engerlundland v Brazil game, the one decided by Endrick's goal. I posted this: Nice to see England not only beaten, but beaten by a goal from a lad who shares his name with a Scottish river. It was hooked. For being 'off-topic'. Touchy...
