  1. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2024/mar/04/life-on-benefits-under-labour-will-not-be-an-option-says-liz-kendall Labour going all Tough Tory on benefits is no surprise. Liz Kendall still being a thing really should be a surprise.
  2. TEAMGEEBEE end up with four medals, two of them provided by Scots. A Scotland athletics team would not be embarrassing. Just saying.
  3. Ross the Ref today appealing for WibbleDem and Labour supporters to vote Tory to keep DA ESSENPEE out. Aye, Ross. Aye, that's gonnae happen. At the same time as Kirkie Rob Roy lift the SPFL Premier Trophy at their 25k capacity stadium in the town.
  4. Guess who Lying Git Nick Robinson is interviewing on the BBC News Channel the noo? Farage. That's who.
  5. Was at the morning session (Gaun Jemma Reekie!) but even on telly tonight was astonishing, one of the greatest sporting events ever held in Scotland. Muir has nothing to prove, fabulous from Holloway, a gold for St Lucia, a sensational world record for Bol, and Josh 'Saltire' Kerr!
  6. BBC have just shown the latest medal table at the World Indoors in Glesca. Apparently some country called 'Belguim' is in joint second.
  7. Rangers Media not happy about the refereeing, and some remarks about one lino being in the pay of the Vatican. Yes, lads, I am positive that His Holiness does indeed give a monkey's about whether your manky team wins or not...
  8. Josh Kerr and Laura Muir in the athletics and reading the seethe on Rangers Media. An entertaining evening beckons.
  9. The LibDem in East Dunbartonshire is a mad councillor who tried with glee to close our local library a few years ago and was part of the administration who sent in security staff at 1am to close our public hall. And, sadly, she might win.
  10. The Green Brigade and the Union Bears may both claim to despise Scotland's, ahem, finest, but, taking last night as a case in point, their delivery of several songs in praise of a proscribed terrorist organisation could theoretically earn them police attention (try wandering through London with a HAMAS ARE DECENT CHAPS, WHAT? banner). But it'll be ignored, as are the hate songs of their soul brothers at Ibrox.
  11. Wouldn't surprise me at all.
  12. Too many of them are too focused on their munnybags English clubs and Pedro isn't the manager to snap them out of it.
  13. This could be a dreary, predictable ref/VAR-eased Old Firm victory, or it could be the first chip in breaking the tedious, outdated mould of Scottish football. I know which is more likely but I am aye hopeful.
  14. That interview above is conclusive proof she's nuts. And French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Scando cheese is GRATE. Keep importing it, keep eating it, and make Liz Trump unhappy.
  15. I agree with most of what you say. But I do still think she's nuts.
  16. Or 'Elderly Striker Who Was Honking in His Few Sub Appearances at Caley Cons another Manager'.
  17. There's being right-wing; and there is being right-wing and nuts. She's increasingly the latter.
  18. The Labour refrain (echoed by the BBC, Graun and many other media) that the SNP put forward this motion 'to embarrass Labour - just playing politics' drives me nuts. 1 It's not all about Labour. This might be about Israel and Palestine. 2 Labour are quite capable of embarrassing themselves. They don't need anyone else to do it for them
  19. BBC reporting of this was shocking, I thought.
  20. The sport bulletin one time when I watched gave brief reports on EPL matches and didn't mention Scottish lower league games on at the same time. No point in having it if all it does is carry out the BBC's Englandising agenda with a Scottish accent. I like Sarah McMullen but.
  21. I think generally paying customers at games are massively against it. Me included. Therefore they will be determined to keep it.
  22. Arguably, this weekend showed Scottish football at its best, starting with a huge crowd at Starks watching a terrific top-of-the-Championship match. Then on Saturday, 18k at Pittodrie and Tynie, Killie giving the Old Firm a taste of their own medicine with a late goal earning a point, a 6-goal thriller at Caley Stadium and big crowds at East End at the wrong end of the Championship and Falkirk for a League 1 promotion tussle. Great stuff all round. And then Ranjurs go and ruin it today.
  23. I think Hearts will be off soon into some Diddyship Atlantic League.
  24. Within a week or two he'll be at some Golden Gordon outpost in the National League North telling the local paper the standard is better than Celtic 1967 or 1980s Aberdeen.
