  1. Or 'Elderly Striker Who Was Honking in His Few Sub Appearances at Caley Cons another Manager'.
  2. There's being right-wing; and there is being right-wing and nuts. She's increasingly the latter.
  3. The Labour refrain (echoed by the BBC, Graun and many other media) that the SNP put forward this motion 'to embarrass Labour - just playing politics' drives me nuts. 1 It's not all about Labour. This might be about Israel and Palestine. 2 Labour are quite capable of embarrassing themselves. They don't need anyone else to do it for them
  4. BBC reporting of this was shocking, I thought.
  5. The sport bulletin one time when I watched gave brief reports on EPL matches and didn't mention Scottish lower league games on at the same time. No point in having it if all it does is carry out the BBC's Englandising agenda with a Scottish accent. I like Sarah McMullen but.
  6. I think generally paying customers at games are massively against it. Me included. Therefore they will be determined to keep it.
  7. Arguably, this weekend showed Scottish football at its best, starting with a huge crowd at Starks watching a terrific top-of-the-Championship match. Then on Saturday, 18k at Pittodrie and Tynie, Killie giving the Old Firm a taste of their own medicine with a late goal earning a point, a 6-goal thriller at Caley Stadium and big crowds at East End at the wrong end of the Championship and Falkirk for a League 1 promotion tussle. Great stuff all round. And then Ranjurs go and ruin it today.
  8. I think Hearts will be off soon into some Diddyship Atlantic League.
  9. Within a week or two he'll be at some Golden Gordon outpost in the National League North telling the local paper the standard is better than Celtic 1967 or 1980s Aberdeen.
  10. Bigger leagues don't necessarily lead to more meaningless mid-table games. But you have to increase the number of relegation/promotion/play-off places. And no top-level teams will vote for that.
  11. Switched on to hear the report on the Caley game but noticed KMaC couldn't wait to get onto the big, big match between Ranjurs and, and, er, wee team, something United. They read out the two team lines, and KMAC asked 'So, Rory, whorrabout that Ranjurs team?' Loy actually had the decency to break ranks and actually mention Ayr United ('I don't know much about them') even though KMAC hadn't asked about them. Then they went on about how brulliant Ranjurs were now, and how brulliant the new manager was and how brulliant the atmosphere was at the ground noo. If only a Sportsound pundit had the bottle to say something like, 'Yes, but we know how fickle are the of supporters when even one result goes against them and, about that atmosphere, you have to question some of the things, including the songs, that fuel it...'
  12. 24 years to the minute since we were all at Parkheid on that freezing February night. Perhaps they'll interview the survivors for a 25th documentary next year?
  13. There are no easy games there but it coulda bin a lot worse.
  14. So, Penalty to Celtic go three points clear of Penalty to Rangers?
  15. That was a weird mixture of great penalties and screamingly terrible penalties.
  16. It's an appalling little oxter of the stadium you're corralled in, hemmed in on both sides by underevolved humanity in their thousands. Outside the stadium can be quite unpleasant: not so bad afterwards as they all leave with 15 minutes to go.
  17. That's the BBC website stylesheet, but. Ever encountered Phil McNulty, the BBC's 'Chief Football Writer'? Long articles about English moneybags football that say nothing and reveal nothing you didn't know, and which you give up reading one paragraph in if you're not a Premier League Armchair Fanboy. His latest takes c1200 words to say 'Arsenal lost and will need to play better and score goals to be better.' https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67908412
  18. 'To be fair...' 'To be honest with you...' 'All credit to [insert name of routinely defeated wee diddy team here], but...'
  19. This is one of those appointments which will either look inspired by the end of May, or be over by Easter.
  20. Wasn't there one year when even some English clubs were included, from the North-South Not-National League GM Vauxhall Conference, or similar? I seem to remember a team called Sutton, but I may be making that up.
  21. Clearly we've lost all hope in the matter of spelling.
  22. Unfortunate enough to hear a bit of the post-match chat. KMac very anxious to talk about the big big story, with so so many talking points, Rangers plucky win over the Livi Leviathons.
  23. I understand TNS are full-time, bankrolled by UEFA money from short-lived European runs. Certainly Falkirk never looked like scoring tonight. Airdrie will surely give them a game, but. Carlisle's Brunton Park would be the fairest neutral venue. I recommend the meat and potato pies.
