  1. Another there on Sunday for ... East Kilbride 4-2 Bo’ness United ... Lowland League Cup Final @ Ainslie Park. A very good final that was level at 1-1 just after the break. East Kilbride got back in front with a great strike and ran out deserved winners. Crowd 524.
  2. Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool AET (5-6 on pens) @ Wembley 🏟 yesterday. Jurgen Klopp’s side completed the domestic cup double with a 2nd shootout win over Chelsea after a goalless 120 minutes. Konstantinos Tsimikas with the winning penalty. Scenes . Crowd 84,897.
  3. Wee Andrew will have his feet up in front of the telly waiting for the call .
  4. Love Beechwood Park. What an excellent season they have had on the field too.
  5. Aston Villa 1-2 Liverpool @ Villa Park on Tuesday night. The home side ahead after 3 minutes but Liverpool quickly level. They won it in the 2nd half with a Sadio Mane header to keep their quadruple hopes alive with only 4 games to go. Crowd 41,919.
  6. Spartans 1-3 Celtic @ Ainslie Park in the Scottish Women’s Premier League on Sunday. The home side battled away and pulled one back to make it 2-1 in the 2nd half but, as expected, Celtic ran out deserved winners. Crowd 175.
  7. Barrow AFC 1-3 Northampton @ Holker Street . Got another one ticked off from the 92 on Saturday afternoon. Dramatic final day in League 2 with the visitors 3-0 up after half an hour and set for promotion. However Bristol Rovers won 7-0 at home to Scunthorpe and edged them out on goal difference. Scenes . Crowd 4603.
  8. Blantyre Victoria 1-6 Darvel @ The KG Stadium on Wednesday night. A big away win for title chasing Darvel who had too much for the home side. With Talbot losing they lead the West Premier Division by 4 points with 2 games left. Crowd 354.
  9. That late Lumo looks like it could be really handy from London and the North East Jute.
  10. Gateshead 3-1 Southport @ Gateshead International Stadium , game 2 on Saturday. 3 stops on the Metro from Monument to see Gateshead secure 3 points that put them 5 points clear at the top of National League North with only 2 games left. Crowd 2006 (55 away).
  11. Newcastle United 0-1 Liverpool @ St James Park. Despite 5 changes the visitors make pretty light work of what had looked like a difficult fixture. A 19th minute Naby Keita strike the only goal with a number of further chances not taken. Crowd 52,281.
  12. Dunfermline Athletic 1-2 Queen of the South @ East End Park on Friday night. The Doonhamers come from a goal down at half-time to secure 3 points and finish the season with an away win. Queens already relegated. It’s the play-off’s for the Pars. Crowd 5406 (85 away).
  13. Fair play to Radio Scotland they gave it a mention on there. Well done to the Rose hopefully finish the job off next week.
  14. Kennoway Star Hearts 1-2 Edinburgh United @ Treaton Park yesterday . A deserved EoSFL, 1st Division, Conference A win for United who led 1-0 at the break through Daniel McKinlay ️ before Stephen Scott ️ doubled their advantage. A late goal for the home side proved only to be a consolation. Crowd 59.
  15. Agreed there Craig we were doing laps of the pitch trying to escape them and some others lit a fire by the side of the pitch when we went there. Itching just thinking about it .
  16. Good to see the Forth & Endrick back Craig. Will need to dig out the insect repellent .
  17. Biggar United 1-0 Leithen Rovers @ Biggar Rugby Club ... a dip into the Border Ams last night. Walls Cup QF. The visitors on top in the 1st half but Biggar seemed to frustrate them with a high line and they snatched a winner 20 minutes from time. Crowd 43.
  18. Last Saturday ... Manchester City 2-3 Liverpool @ Wembley Stadium 🏟. A brilliant 1st half performance saw Liverpool 3-0 up at half time before they survived a 2nd half comeback to reach the FA Cup Final. Crowd 73,793.
  19. Blidworth Welfare 2-0 Ashland Rovers @ Welfare Ground. Good Friday hat-trick ️️️ completed in the Central Midland League, South Division. A deserved win for the promotion chasing home side with a goal in each half. Attendance 107, the highest crowd of the season.
  20. Harrogate Town 1-4 Swindon Town @ Wetherby Road on Friday . 3pm kick-off in League 2 and a comfortable win for the impressive visitors who led 2-0 at half time and 4-0 after an hour. Crowd 2933 including 600 from Swindon. That’s me up to 70/92.
  21. Newton Aycliffe 0-0 Whickham @ Moore Lane Sports Club . First up on Good Friday a 12noon kick off in the Northern League Division 1 ... stalemate. A couple of good saves and blocks at both ends but no one could find the breakthrough. Crowd 190.
  22. Well deserved win for Bonnyrigg. Spartans hit the post twice at 2-0 but Rose too strong. Final on Sunday 22nd May .
