  1. Edinburgh South 0-5 St Cadocs @ Paties Road Stadium . South Challenge Cup R3. KO 1.30pm. The Glasgow side ahead in the opening minutes and 2 more in each half saw them comfortably through. Despite all the rain the pitch was looking very good. Crowd 75.
  2. Scotland 1-2 Iceland @ Fir Park, Motherwell. International U21s Friendly Match. Scotland ahead just after the half hour when Ben Doak teed up Max Johnston to score. The visitors turned the game on its head early in the 2nd half though and held on to win. Crowd 2128.
  3. Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Liverpool @ Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 🏟. Mo Salah with a 1st half double. Harry Kane pulled one back with 20 minutes to go but the Reds held on to take 3 Premier League points. Crowd 62,008.
  4. FC Edinburgh 0-3 Queen of the South @ Meadowbank Stadium . The Doonhamers pick up 3 big points on the road, despite missing an early penalty but scoring (Lewis Gibson ️) just before half time and ️️ more after. Crowd 598.
  5. FC St Helens 6-0 Ashton Town @ Windleshaw Sports . 3pm kick-off. The home side 2-0 in front at the break and pick the visitors off in the 2nd half as they looked for a way back. North West Counties League, 1st Division North. Crowd 129.
  6. Ajax 0-3 Liverpool @ Johan Cruyff Arena 🏟. The visitors secure a place in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League for a 6th successive season with an away win in Amsterdam. Mo Salah , Darwin Nunez & Harvey Elliott . Crowd 53,327.
  7. Ajax U19 3-1 Liverpool U19 @ De Toekomst 🏟. Wednesday 26.10.22. The young Reds make a few changes and fall to their first UEFA Youth League defeat of the season. 2-1 at the break, a third goal sealed it in the 2nd half. Crowd 1713.
  8. Ilkeston Town 3-1 Bromsgrove Sporting @ New Manor Ground . The Forest fans staying to celebrate helped a quick get away for a good game in the Southern League Premier Division Central . The visitors levelling, but behind 2-1 at the break, before a late 3rd. Crowd 704.
  9. Nottingham Forest 1-0 Liverpool @ City Ground. Jurgen Klopp’s side are felled with a 55th minute Taiwo Awoniyi ️ goal securing the Premier League win for Forest . Crowd 29,245.
  10. Hibernian 1-2 St Johnstone @ Easter Road Stadium . Historic night as VAR comes to Scotland. A sold old crowd watched Hibs take the lead (35) but when reduced to 10 men (70) the game turned and the visitors came back to win (73 & 83). Crowd 20,010.
  11. Before moving in the summer wee Sonny was with Edinburgh United for 3.5 years and could count on 1 hand how many games he missed !?
  12. Falkirk 3-1 Alloa Athletic @ Falkirk Stadium. cinch League One. The Bairns prove too strong for the Wasps scoring twice in the opening 7 minutes and making it 3-0 just before half-time. Alloa came to life very late on pulling a goal back and almost added a 2nd. Crowd 3847.
  13. Bonnyrigg Rose 1-4 East Fife @ New Dundas Park . cinch League 2. The home side ahead after only 2 minutes, and led for exactly an hour, before East Fife turned the game on its head with 3 goals in 5 minutes, and another late on, to secure the 3 points. Crowd 933.

  15. Rangers 1-7 (Seven) Liverpool @ Ibrox Park . The home side take the lead but Liverpool come back and run riot . Firmino , Nunez , Elliot & a record breaking 6 minute hat-trick from Substitute Mo Salah completing the rout. Crowd 48,830.
  16. Kelty Hearts 1-0 Queen of the South @ New Central Park . The visitors on top in the 1st half but it was Kelty who opened the scoring through Michael Tidser ️ (34). Despite plenty of effort there was to be no way back for Queens who couldn’t find an equaliser. Crowd 548.
  17. Arsenal 3-2 Liverpool @ Emirates Stadium 🏟. The visitors level twice, Darwin Nunez (34) & Roberto Firmino (53) but Arsenal win an action packed game with a penalty 14 minutes from time. Bukayo Saka (45 & 76) & Gabriel Martinelli (1) for the home side. Crowd 60,000 odd.
  18. Edinburgh South 1-0 Ormiston Primrose @ Paties Road Stadium on Saturday . EoSFL, Division 2. The home side ahead just before the break through a well worked goal. Reduced to 10 men early in the 2nd half following a last man foul, South held on to secure the 3 points. Crowd 79.
  19. Heart of Midlothian 0-3 Fiorentina @ Tynecastle Park . UEFA Europa Conference League, Group A. The Serie A side ahead early on and were far too strong for Hearts who were reduced to 10 men not long after the restart. Crowd 17,243.
  20. Vale of Leithen 2-0 Hill of Beath Hawthorn @ Victoria Park 🌧. The Vale deservedly secure their first EoSFL Premier Division points of the season to move off the bottom and above their opponents. A goal in each half ️ and the visitors had no answer. Crowd 67.
  21. Spartans 2-2 Hibernian @ Ainslie Park Stadium . Scottish Women’s Premier League. Really good game with the visitors turning it around having trailed to lead 2-1. A lead that only lasted a few minutes with a free-kick equaliser resulting in a share of the points. Crowd 171.
  22. Scotland v Republic of Ireland @ Hampden Park . Scotland come from a goal down at half-time to win and move back on top of UEFA Nations League B, Group 1. Ryan Christie setting up Jack Hendry (49) to level before winning it from the spot (82). Crowd 48,853.
  23. Craigroyston 0-2 Edinburgh United @ St Marks Park . EoSFL Division 2. A deserved win for United with a goal in each half securing the points after they had an early penalty saved . The first a great left foot strike from Declan Paterson. Crowd 66.
