  1. A nice wee German selection for this evening.
  2. Invictus Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon star in this film about South Africa's victorious campaign in the 1995 Rugby world cup. I've always avoided this film as rugby union is a deplorable activity only of interest to absolute worstcunts. However, I did actually enjoy this, even though I have reservations over it's accuracy. I'd be astonished if a few games of rugby could unite such a divided nation. Good performances by Freeman and Damon though. 7/10
  3. Another cool video by a band that I don't normally listen to.
  4. I'm not the biggest fan of the Beastie Boys, but I do think that this is one of the coolest videos ever made...
  5. I'm off work this week so I'm trying to catch up on my reading. I'm about half way through Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. It's considered a dystopian classic and is often mentioned alongside 1984 and A Clockwork Orange. I am enjoying it and I like the concept, however I feel Huxley doesn't have the flair of Orwell or Burgess. His writing style isn't as engaging and I'm finding that it just kinda plods along. I'm still glad that I've finally got around to reading it though.
  6. Pish song and an embarrassing video. What a p***k.
  7. Youngblood Rob Lowe stars as a young ice hockey player in this slice of 80s cheese. Every sporting movie cliche going along with a training montage. Shite, but entertaining shite. 7/10
  8. I popped into Aitken's in Dundee this afternoon...
  9. A decent wee haul. The Brew Toon one is pretty nice.
  10. Mikkeller Evergreen. These were reduced price, £1.25 each, in Marks and Spencer today. It would be rude not to buy a few tins. It's a fairly typical craft IPA. I've had worse. I do like the portrait of Pedro Caixinha on the can though.
  11. Id say Green Street has the biggest gap in quality. The original was absolute shite, the sequel was off the scale shite.
  12. Das Ist Techno Sex is top quality, but at £4.50 per can it fucking should be. I'm off work all week. I'll probably head to Aitken's at some point and pick up a couple of tins, along with a few cheaper options.
  13. No socks? Those trainers must be Abraham Lincoln.
  14. Amèlie A socially awkward French woman commits random acts of vandalism and stalks a guy who works in a sex shop. Anti social behaviour has never been so charming or endearing. 8/10
  15. I've never been able to get my nut round the Belgian league. I'm sure that there's some really complicated play off system at the end.
  16. This is £0.39 per can in Home Bargains. It's pretty poor TBH. Weak with not much flavour. At that price though, I can't really complain.
