  1. If they have been training already and have the steps in place to meet the SPFL’s COVID-19 protocols they’ve set out then it does seem a nonsense decision. The same applies to any club that are able to adhere to these policies.
  2. Can someone please explain Hibs fans creaming themselves over Gogic. That’s twice I’ve watched him now, today and against Dundee Utd and he has been exceptionally average in both matches. Maybe he has performed better against Livingston and Killie but I’m yet to be convinced he is deserving of this adulation he is receiving.
  3. Maybe it is normal for him to hop on a plane, but not in these circumstances and he blatantly disregarded the quarantine protocols when he returned...
  4. You’re quite right, I thought it was Romeo who you had originally replied to, not Willy! Apologies Romeo, mistaken identity.
  5. I quite agree with the sentiments here. I think everyone is entitled to have a say on the incident and most people have. You call them idiotic/irresponsible/stupid but then I think some line needs to be drawn. Football in this country is always intense and I think it would be very easy for any player to become overwhelmed with the constant abuse and may find themselves in a dark place. They’ve accepted they will be punished and I would imagine all of them (including Bolingoli) will really regret their actions. My only exception to Dave Cormack’s statement is the suggestion that 18-20 thousand people regularly pile into Pittodrie
  6. I’m no sure any club can have absolute control over their players, they are human after all. I think Flump was simply poking fun at your rabid whataboutery.
  7. Just to be clear, while the tweet may have been suggesting there was some kind of preferential press treatment offered to Celtic, I simply found the extremes between the two headlines amusing.
  8. That could be argued, yes, but surely Hearts shouldn't be prevented from using these facilities just because other teams don't have similar? This is maybe an extreme example, but that would be like saying if a part-time League 2 club meets a full-time Premiership team in the Scottish Cup then the Premiership team can only train part-time in the build up to the match...
  9. Yep, quite possibly. I'm certain it'll be for financial reasons anyway. I was just curious about arabdelic's claim that Hearts were looking to seek a sporting advantage when they had already been training when other teams weren't without anyone mentioning it.
  10. Hearts were already training though and, as far as I am aware, the other Championship teams were offered the opportunity to start training at the same time as them but declined to do so, for one reason or another.
  11. Yeah, plenty of interest then. Surely he will break Livingston's record transfer fee (I'm guessing Fernandez to Celtic).
  12. I'd take that tbh...our defence has been uncharacteristically powderpuff in the first 3 games...an improvement in the second half against Motherwell but we'll need to be right on our game to even keep this close. A lot could depend on Dykes potentially moving... hopefully he hangs around until after the weekend at the very least. Is there talk of him moving on before Sunday? I know Livi has previously turned down a couple of bids but wasn’t sure what the current situation was.
  13. With Gerrard confirming that Balogun is out for this, it'll be interesting to see who replaces him to partner Goldson at CB. Helander seems ahead of Edmundson in the pecking order but with Helander only recently returning from a lengthy injury I'm not sure if the pitch will be a factor in his decision making. We've yet to concede a goal in the league but it's normally a tricky place to go to. Prediction: Livingston 1 v 2 Rangers
  14. Aw just take your medicine and deal with it. It’ll be another player from a different team next time and you’ll be all over it.
  15. What is the difference between a non-dangerous reckless tackle and a dangerous reckless tackle? Personally, I think the ref probably got away with giving a yellow. It was one of those tackles for me that was 60% Red and 40% Yellow but not a huge controversy.
  16. I agree - there’s no danger Celtic would’ve even selected him for the match day squad if they’d known. This is where the player should be punished and the only fall back on any club would be if they communicated that it was okay to leave or they were unclear on what was acceptable which I’d doubt is the case. As much as I dislike Celtic, I’d find it very hard to believe they’d take a risk like that.
  17. It probably doesn’t send the right message, but footballers are assets worth a lot of money. Celtic will no doubt look to offload him in a way that minimises their losses.
  18. For what it's worth, I felt St Johnstone caused us more problems than St Mirren did. The game was more open in the first quarter of the match and St Johnstone could have had 2 goals, definitely at least 1 from the point blank header from Olaofe, was it? St Mirren had a short spell after half time for maybe 4 or 5 minutes where they drew a save from a free kick but that was about their lot in all honesty.
  19. I can see it from both ways. Is it really worth kicking up a fuss over given the context of the game? Maybe not. But, hypothetically, what if the challenge had led to a serous Injury? Would you expect it to be overlooked? I’d guess not, and that’s probably why folk are highlighting it rather than the potential of it changing the course of the match.
