Rangers have just announced their new broadcast lineup for Rangers TV. Clive Tyldesley, Emma Dodds, Shelley Kerr, Neil McCann and Alex Rae will all be joining with appearances from Walter Smith and Graeme Souness. Quite happy with that line up.

Banter

I actually thought the ref was racing over to send Arfield off when I was watching the game - I thought it was a poor tackle from him. Considine can’t have any complaints for his red but I think Arfield was fortunate. On the game itself, I thought it was a drab affair but we (Rangers) seemed comfortable and I think we controlled the game well. Performance dropped in the second half but we never seemed to be in any real danger. Positive start to our season where we stop the 10 (9.75). Now, on to European business and we have some Germans to skelp.

Morelos starts, as does Balogun for his first appearance with us.

We have a DoF that has been replaced since the signing of Jones so I’m hopeful the signings going forward will improve. With that being said, I personally thought Jones had the potential to be a useful player for us, but he doesn’t suit Gerrard’s style of play which baffles me even more why we signed so many wingers.

Gerrard confirming that Morelos will travel with the squad - yet to make a decision on the starting 11 but he has confirmed both Defoe and Davis are out injured so I’d expect him to play unless Lille come in today with an acceptable bid.

The Sun now reporting that Cosgrove faces up to 4 months out with a knee injury.

Long time rumoured Rangers target Mirko Maric has apparently been pictured in Glasgow with Croatian news outlets reporting he is close to signing. The 25 year old NK Osijek striker scored 21 in 33 appearances last season. A bit of another unknown quantity from a market that has been hit and miss for us.

This rumour has been circulating for a while now but L’Equip now reporting that a €4m fee has been agreed between Rangers and Amiens for midfielder Bongani Zungu. Know next to nothing about the bloke other than what a South African football correspondent has mentioned on twitter.

None that I think Gerrard would trust in a game like this. We could see a change of formation that may see us play with Kent and Hagi supported by another player that’s not an out and out forward but I’m not 100% sure.
