Have you considered using your team's current terrible form as a means to build up a transfer kitty...

I’ve won a couple of hundred betting on us to get beat this season, 2 x derbies, Aberdeen Friday night & Ross County at home, it’s just so easy to predict.

Immediately after the second goal, Hibs fans are show leaving...I will never understand that, given the amount of time left.

You obviously don’t understand what it’s like to support Hibs in an Edinburgh derby then.

I'm interested to know, from a Hibs perspective is that generally a good or a bad thing? Any time I've seen him play I've always felt there's a player in there, but he makes a lot of bad decisions. Surprised he isn't sent off more TBH

    Honestly a superb thing.

He’s an incredibly average player that regularly slows us down with unnecessary petulance, and he regularly goes missing when the going gets tough.

He’s also a horrible human being aswell, the fact he’s been at the club for the whole of this incredibly crap period of our history says it all really.

  4. Aye I’m doing a few weeks off the drink until next weekend so it’ll be my first sober derby since the 2018 horrendous 0-0 game at Tynie where Lennon got hit by a coin and Kamberi got sent off.

However if Hibs somehow do fluke a 1-0 win then I’ll definitely be breaking my sobriety and spend my Sunday being a menace in the pubs of Leith Walk followed by my Monday getting absolutely 0 work done due to over indulgence.

It is indeed - a guy who I rank as one of the worst players I’ve ever seen in the Premiership.

I looked yours up and have legitimately never heard of the guy.

I cracked and also looked him up, to my shame. Don't feel guilty at all as I've never heard of him either! We need some Hibee sage like @Hoose Riceor @StellarHibee to enlighten us

Is it Chris Dagnall? The "face in the crowd" in all 2016 cup final photos?

    That’s the one!

An incredibly forgettable player to be fair although saying that he will have a Scottish cup winners medal as you say and he did come off the bench in the semi final.

My main memory of him is him missing about 12 sitters against St Johnstone that season in the league cup semi final, albeit we did win that game.

Absolutely brutal footballer, although was actually okay in his loan spell to be fair, his face almost gives me PTSD.

Anyone else surprised we haven't' signed anyone?

    Not really to be honest.

We have way too many players on our books still and the people that would be in charge of said signings are all idiots, I would rather wait until we have a non-idiot in before we sign players, certainly for permanent signings anyway.

Having said that I’m not sure I trust our idiots to hire a non-idiot as idiots tend to be attracted to other idiots.

Meanwhile our best player appears to be Blackburn bound, Blackburn a club pushing for promotion to the top flight in England, being managed by a coach that wanted the Hibs job, however the idiots preferred Lee Johnson, somehow.

I'm not comparing Hertz to the Old Firm, obviously, but there is a separate gap forming between us and the rest.

The perks of being the establishment club. 😎

Very comfortable. We're in that situation despite a European campaign in the first half of the season. The second half is going to be an absolute walk in the park to back-to-back third place finishes.

I mean it doesn't get more clear cut than how things are right now really.

  9. The HSL failure is an interesting thing, I was one of those that contributed to it for years however I stopped my contribution after Leeann Dempster came out and said she was going to spend £100,000 on fancy CCTV cameras to arrest our own supporters as I felt bloody hell, if we can afford that then we obviously don’t need the money.

I wasn’t a huge fan of Dempster by the time she left, mainly due to the way she treated some people close to the club that I know, however in hindsight she treated people nowhere near as bad as the current regime (Colin & Kenny, Sue McLernon etc etc).

Obviously lockdown hit and that never happened but IIRC HSL owned about 18% of the club, it was getting there and they would have had a majority stake probably by the end of the decade.

I’m not totally convinced that’s the definitive answer either by the way because it’s all dependent on appointing the right people.

However what I’m sure isn’t the answer are Ben Kensell, Ian Gordon and Ron Gordon; the father, the son and the Holy Spirit.

A DoF is a step in the right direction, if it’s the right person, however I really don’t have faith in those three picking the right person.

    Time shall tell.

In the meantime Hearts are 2/1 to beat Hibs on Sunday with Unibet, lump on.

Ever been this far out of your depth before?

    1. The fans cash is insufficient to operate the club. If we were reliant on the fans cash alone, we'd be bankrupt. If you understood business, you'd know this.

    2. 'Go support the old firm' - the clarion call of the individual who cannot deliver reasoned debate and is out of intellectual ammo. Not only are you aligning what you've decided are my 'values and beliefs' with the most successful clubs in Scotland, strengthening my point; you're trying to infer it as an insult however and yet have the temerity to call my post idiotic. Allergic to irony? Don't answer, you won't understand what I've just written.

    3. Any self made multi-millionaire is no idiot, which you'd know, if you were one. Are you?

    Carry on, your go.

That’s not what I said though is it?

We of course rely on sponsors and many other parties to keep us afloat however the minute you take the supporters away, the people that you are calling “fannies,” you have an organisation that no one will invest in and we are no longer in business.

You should go and support the Old Firm as the beliefs of Hibernian FC, it’s supporters and it’s history don’t align with yours.

You should also considering joining up with the Conservative Party aswell while you’re at it, if you haven’t already, of course.

And that's the problem, those fans will be around much longer. Can we get a transfer window for fans or better yet just napalm Leith and try again?

Also, could we pause a second to witness that a deca-multimillionaire just got called a clown by a clown, without any irony.

I presume your achievements in business precede you to a greater degree than Gordon's do to him?

I'll leave you with this. The business I own has a higher turnover than Hibs, albeit not by much. I know nothing about running a football club and Gordon may not know much either but his presence preserves us from Hibs online fannies taking charge.

Actually, I take that back, they'd never be in charge. They'd never bother their arses enough to do what it took in the first place.

Have at it Jambo hordes, posts like the one I've quoted above deserve all the shite you throw at us.

Perhaps the most idiotic post I’ve seen in my whole time posting on Pie & Bovril.

The fans are to blame and every success we’ve had before is in spite of the supporters, Ron Gordon is merely failing due to the people who’s cash allows the club to exist.

If I were you I would simply go along and watch the old firm, your values and beliefs clearly match those of those clubs.

Oh and also, Alan Sugar, Elon Musk and many other multi millionaires are also idiots, them having more money doesn’t make them supreme beings.

  12. Unconditionally defending the horrendous running of the club and an out of depth owner, charlatan CEO and under qualified “Head of Recruitment” doesn’t make you a better supporter than anyone else.

The fans desperate to “stick the boot in” will be around a lot longer than these clowns will be.

    Hope this helps 👍🏻
