  1. Wouldn’t get places like that in the capital, only pubs dedicated to the clubs there .
  2. If only there was clarity in terms of the time it takes from Perth city centre to McDiarmaid Park, the piracy could have been avoided.
  3. The Hibs.net like statement that anyone who is angry at the way the club is being run is “sticking the boot in” and “isn’t a proper supporter” is really starting to grate. There are many others like myself, season ticket holders of 10+ years that go home and away and live and breathe the club that are angry with our owners, the regime and just about every decision made from the club in the past 3 years. It doesn’t make us any less of a supporter. Hope this clears that up.
  4. Livingston 0-1 Rangers Hearts 2-0 Ross County Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee Utd St Johnstone 1-1 Hibernian St Mirren 1-1 Motherwell Celtic 3-0 Aberdeen
  5. In my post I mentioned that it was a taxi from The Foundry, I was then told taxis in Perth were a rarity. I walked once before and it took the best part of an hour, I can’t remember for certain as it was about 8 years ago.
  6. Scratch that then, apologies. Not been to McDiarmaid Park since 2019 and hope not to go again.
  7. The Foundry is a decent pub (assuming it’s still there), walkable from the station, you’ll need to get a taxi to the ground though. Its about an hour walk from the city centre and there’s not really all that much near the ground except from a Tesco.
  8. But then if a player gets injured we need to then spend 45 mins going through all of the leagues we’re in removing that same player. Played the game religiously for the past 2 seasons but really not a fan of that at all.
  9. It’s the supporters fault we have failed for the past few years. That is really is quite the take.
  10. The less said the better. Last few games he was a little bit better although his hattrick against St Johnstone is a bit of a red herring, one of the goals hit off him and the other 2 the keeper should have saved. Was very unfit too, his next move is massive for the sake of his career, otherwise he’s got cinch League One written allover him.
  11. Porteous was rubbish in the second half, but in the first half we were getting absolute ragdolled and the two centre halves including Bushiri were rank rotten. No one mentioned alcohol company’s, NFT company’s were the problem and also another heating company which have gone under. I’m not disputing he bought the club but we’ve not exactly went out and made huge investments, a few screens and fleecing fans with a glorified behind the goals offering is all well and good but due to the mess the team is in our attendances are dropping anyway. And given the £6m we’ve had in from transfers plus all your precious partnerships, we’ve spent nowhere near that on transfers or stadium improvements. If you want a club that win things every year and fleece their fans go and support the old firm, that’s where your mentality seems to be at, maybe sign up for the Conservative party while you’re at it, myself and many others were here before Ron Gordon came in, we’re not happy while he’s here and we’ll still be after he’s gone and I can’t wait for that day. In terms of Hampden; 3 of the games at were behind closed doors and in the other games we’ve been down the bottom of the league and expected to get beat (and have done so every time except from once in those games). I’ve been there every time and it’s just as frustrating for me at the poor numbers but when the team on the pitch has been as shocking as it has been I can see why, oh and I noticed you omitted the P9 W1 D2 L6 in our derby record. And to suggest that the likes of Sue McLernon who’s worked at the club for 40+ years on minimum wage and gave the club so much are failures is totally insulting. I think the old firm are suited to your mentality, or better still go and support Man City or Newcastle.
  12. Okay, I’ll bite. No issues with the Bushiri comment to be fair, young guy, might improve, been fine in the cup other than a horrendous game against Falkirk. Kensell has so far; sacked 2 managers and 1 director of football (who has been replaced by the owners son), agreed partnerships with two company’s which have gone bust, one of which exploits people and is absolutely dreadful for the environment. There is absolutely 0 evidence that Ron has been spending his own money, he’s never said that and there’s no proof of it anywhere. The point about the working class is to be honest, utterly disgusting, it goes against everything Hibs have existed for in the past nearly 150 years, and we as supporters will still be here long after Ron Gordon has fucked off and that’s pretty much the only thing that has me clinging to my season ticket and my continued support for the club. The relentless negativity has been caused by consistent failure since he came in. 2 bottom 6 place finishes in 3 seasons, 2 wins out of 8 at Hampden. Incredibly unattractive football, and we have won a 1 derby out of 9, with 6 defeats since he arrived at the club. Oh and he’s sacked basically every member of staff the club has that actually knows about and supports Hibs, this has resulted in a barrage of weird statements and social media posts which have hugely alienated a lot of supporters.
  13. I’ll take a huge pint of whatever you’ve had this morning chief. We are a total mess ran by incompetent idiots and I’m genuinely jealous of people that don’t see it.
  14. It’s very typical that in the season I’m least excited for since I started following Hibs we kick off the season with one of the worst away trips of the season. Interest in this is minimal, out on the bevy on Saturday and probably won’t even watch the highlights. Jamie Murphy to score his only league goal of the season and St Johnstone to win.
  15. Could you not have an option where it’s just the same as last season? I understand giving people the ability to have different teams, fine, but having to set up a different team for each league you’re in, then if a player gets injured you then need to sub him out multiple times for all your different teams? That’s just not manageable.
  16. I was about to go and then I saw the starting line up and didn’t bother, sat in and got pished instead. I’ve had better Monday mornings at work.
  17. That was an absolute car crash. Anytime he was asked a question to answer for performance and answer to why fans are unhappy he questioned who the supporters were that were feeling that. Personally delighted that we have a few screens and some fancy hospitality offerings now. I previously referred to the owner/regime as charlatans, I now think that the correct word is incompetent.
  18. Forfar Dumbarton Annan Stenhousemuir East Fife Stranraer Elgin Bonnyrigg Stirling Albion Rovers
  19. Falkirk Dunfermline Queen of the South Airdrie Alloa Montrose Peterhead Kelty Hearts Clyde FC Edinburgh
  20. Partick Dundee Inverness Raith Queens Park Arbroath Cove Morton Hamilton Ayr
  21. Rangers Celtic Hearts Aberdeen Kilmarnock Dundee Utd Motherwell Livingston Ross County St Mirren Hibs St Johnstone
  22. In fairness that was more of a reflection on the rest of the league because Motherwell were indeed utter crap last season. They also still made it out of their group.
  23. We won the other 3 games in the group though didn’t we? Topped the group and were seeded for the next round. I think other than Ewan Henderson and possibly Cadden, not one player has looked direct and moved the ball quickly or carried us up the park, I have absolutely 0 idea where you’re getting that from, or you’re obviously pleased with losing to League 1 and Championship sides. We need far more than 2 players of quality to change that. Obviously Youan hasn’t played yet but other than that; McGeady is finished, Tavares just looks like Jasper but even weaker, Doyle-Hayes, Newell and Campbell are Championship level players, Doidge has been ruined by his injury. The only midfielder that’s good enough (and fit enough) is Ewan Henderson.
  24. Last season we beat Cove and Kilmarnock in the cups, 2 stronger lower league teams. f**k me, even Heckingbottoms team won the league cup group at a canter. I watched the other 3 games in real time and we didn’t attack with pace whatsoever, last night we were slow, ponderous and mustered a grand total of 3 shots on target, very akin to last season. I’m aware that we won the cup but football has changed since 2007, as I mentioned we have gone with 4-4-2 plenty since then and it has always failed. It’s nothing to do with the formation, it’s the manager, the players and most importantly the people who are bringing the manager and players in. While Gordon, Kensell and all their idiots are here we are going to fail, simple as that. And yes, yes you are.
  25. Last year we would never have lost to Falkirk and Morton. Attacking with pace? Albeit I never saw the Clyde game but in the other 3 I don’t think we’ve “attacked with pace” once. Aiden McGeady takes about 25 seconds to decide what he’s going to do with the ball after he receives it. I’m no Josh Campbell fan but he was one of our better players when he came on last night. Magennis has been with us approaching 3 years now and has managed 21 games. He’s never going to be the answer, another waste of money. And FWIW I don’t think Hibs have had a successful team that have played 4-4-2 since about 2007, Lennon and Stubbs were 3-5-2 predominately and if you want to call Ross’ team in 2020/21 successful (they weren’t) that was generally 3-5-2/4-3-3. The only time we’ve played 4-4-2 was under Paatelainen, Yogi, Fenlon, Calderwood and Butcher. Agree about Newell but the rest of your post is nonsense.
