  1. One of two goals he’s scored for Hibs against Aberdeen. More than any current Aberdeen player has managed against us in games between the sides
  2. McKirdy suspended, other than that I agree. Either bring Campbell or Henderson in for McKirdy, probably Campbell.
  3. I still think there’s a player in there with Henderson, I know it was only the league cup but he looked good in the group stages. He’s been awful since the league campaign has started though. We need to play him through the middle though and not out wide because he tends to get completely lost.
  4. Anyone for a sweepstake for when the first Aberdeen fan loses the run of themselves over something Ryan Porteous has done? Or is that invalid with half of them having a meltdown over him being selected to be a substitute in the upcoming Scotland games due to injuries?
  5. He’s not been like breathtakingly bad but there has been a drop off compared to normal, possibly due to uncertainty with his contract expiring in the summer. He still does his usual good passing out of defence and riling up opposition and fans which some like and some don’t but usually we’d get a bombscare conceding of possession or losing his man once every 10-15 games but it’s been happening more often this season. His best game so far this season was on Saturday against Kilmarnock in fairness to him. As you say, it’s unlikely he’ll play, but a bunch of idiots on Twitter crying over who our 9th choice defender will be always entertaining.
  6. Fucking total farce if they are off which it sounds likely. Sure Scotrail will happily hand the money back for the folk that have forked out for tickets to go up for games aswell. Meanwhile every non-sporting entertainment industry will continue. If you want to not go to football and mourn, feel free to do so, just as when anyone else dies. If you don’t give a flying f**k you should be able to continue as normal.
  7. Game is less than 2 weeks away, assume the squad will be out early next week? Here’s my stab at it; Goalkeepers: Gordon, Kelly, McLaughlin Defenders: Robertson, Tierney, Hickey, Patterson, Taylor, Hanley, McKenna, Hendry, Porteous Midfielders: Gilmour, McGregor, McTominay, McGinn, Jack, McLean, Armstrong, Turnbull, Fraser, Christie Attackers: Dykes, Adams, Brown, Shankland Porteous? I hear you all saying, Hibs bias I hear you all saying. Honestly Porteous (although better on Saturday) is in his worst form right now since signing for Hibs and doesn’t deserve a place however due to injuries if we want 4 centre halfs then I think he may need to go in? Cooper? Injured, Souttar? Injured, Halkett? Injured, unless my mind has completely drawn blanks I’m not sure who else there is. Gallagher maybe? Stephen Welsh? Tom McIntyre at Reading? Clarke may opt to only go for 3 centre halfs plus McTominay tbf and like I say Porteous doesn’t deserve a call up but as it’s a triple header I reckon we’ll see a more inflated squad like we have previously.
  8. This will be my first away game where I’ll need to sit in the home end. Anyone any experience? Are we likely to be okay in colours/kilts?
  9. Possibly the most unfulfilled I felt after a win in a good while, we weren’t very good at all. Worthy of 3 points but that was probably due to the man advantage, felt Hanlon was really good which is about time because he’s been rotten for ages. Youan is a pest and a presence but he’s not a goalscorer, Bojang is not a footballer, god knows what brought him onto our radar btw.
  10. Absolutely superb take this, some fans near me in the east were trying to start this chant against Rangers and I was absolutely fizzing, wee guy energy.
  11. We’ve not lost a game to Kilmarnock at Easter Road since post split 2014. However we hadn’t lost a top flight game away to St Mirren either since post split 2014 and they beat us, therefore I fully expect the same to happen here. I would be keen to bring Stevenson into midfield and give Kenneh a chance again and most importantly get Newell & Doyle-Hayes out of the side so I would go with the below XI. Marshall Cadden Porteous Hanlon Cabraja Stevenson Kenneh Boyle Henderson Melkersen Youan
  12. I’m excited for the half time BOOOOO. That is all.
  13. Pleased to sign McKirdy but the other two, what the f**k? We’d be better just playing 76 year old Darren McGregor and Melkersen or even Josh O’Connor, just more players like Bojang to block the path of the “development team” where there is no actual development.
  14. There was a boy on here strawing his arse recently too. Plenty of goons on Twitter aswell.
  15. This in spades, been banging this drum for over a year. We really are some club.
  16. Been too hungover across Sunday and Monday to venture into this thread. However; Never managed to get into the stadium until after the goal due to the absolute farce at the away end of only opening one turnstile so as far as I’m concerned it was 0-0. Jake Doyle-Hayes and Joe Newell aren’t it, they’re not good enough to play for Hibs and the fact they were given new contracts last season is fucking pitiful. Will give Campbell the benefit of the doubt due to a decent-ish start to the season but I’m far from convinced. Kebab Pies - 10/10. Paisley boozers - 10/10. Was starting to get on board with Johnson but there’s a few warning signs, hopefully I’m wrong but his comments seem to reek of self preservation and throwing players under the bus. Also, some of the money we’ve shelled out on players that clearly aren’t going to play or aren’t good enough. We’ve brought in since last summer (paying fees for the majority); Reuben McAllister, Allan Delferriere, Dylan Tait, Dan MacKay, Elias Melkersen, Momodou Bojang, Lewis Miller, Jair Tavares, Runar Hauge and Emmanuel Johnson and none of these guys are ready to play for the first team. Why? There’s gaping holes in our team and we’re bringing in kids when probably the majority of them are never going to be good enough. I know I’m a broken record but chase the Gordon’s out the club asap and start again. St Mirren were by far the better team and look like a proper Steve Robinson team, Baccus that got the goal looks a good player and so does Ryan Strain.
  17. I was torn to bits for this but my prediction was actually too positive
  18. Bet these fellas are absolutely delighted at the £30 they spent on fireworks last night for absolutely f**k all
  19. Hearts are an astounding 14/5 to qualify. Lumped on it in the hope that I’ve just made a considerable financial loss. The last time I lumped on Hearts to win a game they were crippled by a last minute equaliser and the same will do me absolutely fine tonight.
  20. Surprised the second image doesn’t have Collum in the Hibs scorers section.
  21. We’ve got Kilmarnock next week so that’s where he’ll go and he’ll score against us for them.
