  1. Don’t know if this will definitely be announced today but he has signed. No names, just been told he’s a “beast”
  2. It’s great having to travel to worst Stadium in the league on day one of the season, thanks SPFL, thanks a bunch
  3. It’s one of my favourite tournaments, it’s better at the latter stages, do feel for guys like Portela, plays some decent stuff but I wouldn’t trust his partner to throw a dart in the sea from the Forth Road Bridge.
  4. Disagree with the point about Henderson, felt he was the only bright spot from January but other than that you’ve hit the nail on the head there. Ian bloody Gordon eh?
  5. Good luck with Mr Ross. Shite football and losing big games regularly will definitely be on your radar. In terms of positives, he seemed to be really quite well liked by the players and still seems to be, obviously we did manage 3rd but it was the most miserable season in history of a team to finish 3rd, boring football, not in stadiums and losing 3 times at Hampden, obviously one of those wasn’t Ross’ fault, as much as I’d like to blame him for the pandemic. Mid table but bored to tears inbound for you I reckon.
  6. Got no issue with Zander Clark getting a chance assume he leaves St Johnstone.
  7. We are absolutely the banter team of 2022/23. Negatives: We could actually go down. Positives: The beginning of the end for the absolute crooks running the club?
  8. Buzzing to see the Scottish cloning programme kick off with Calum McGregor and Craig Gordon. Creg Gordons has to sign for Hibs for fairness.
  9. Me upon reading someone is stupid enough to pay a fee for him.
  10. The St Johnstone share price has just increased at this news. Shite goalkeeper, good with one on ones (anyone of his size should be) but 0 other attributes, doesn’t claim crosses, regularly boots the ball out the park under no pressure, suspect from distance, in general suspect when any shot has any power on it. Apparently we’re getting a fee for him which is absolutely beyond belief.
  11. Please please please please please take Matt Macey off our hands
  12. But it does matter to Digby Brown.
  13. Hopefully something is sorted, even if it does the planning is absolutely dreadful.
  14. There’s a difference between hoping a team win to actively piping up in the public eye against your nations greatest rivals. Do you reckon when Billy Brown was employed by Hibs he was seen actively cheering Hearts on to victory?
  15. Good old Angus from Scotrail says there’ll be an update with confirmation today. Very second hand but a friend of a friend supposedly works for Scotrail and a verbal agreement for later trains has been come to, what that entails I don’t know but I reckon there’ll be some trains running later.
  16. Was captured at the Fulham training ground during the Euros telling the camera man how it’s “coming home” so I assume that’s part of it. He’s also quite shite.
  17. After a beautiful week in sunny Romania the nerves are now kicking in for this one. Watched the BBC programme they did about Scotland in the play offs just there and it then lead me to watching clip after clip of the last few years and before I say anything else, what a job Steve Clarke has done, transformed perennial failures that really had no relationship with the fans into a team that we’re all behind, even if we don’t manage next week, I’m excited about where we can go next. The injuries are a huge blow, Tierney is the only one who’d have started (and potentially Patterson if he doesn’t make it) but like others have said the likes of Ryan Jack and Kenny McLean are brilliant options off the bench and we’re a bit light in the middle in terms of substitutes. I would go with the below line up Gordon McTominay Hanley Cooper Patterson/O’Donnell Robertson Gilmour McGregor McGinn Armstrong Adams And if Dykes or Christie come in to replace Armstrong that won’t upset me either but that’s where I’m at. In terms of Ukraine, none of these results mean that much and I don’t know how full strength they were in terms of personnel but they played 3 friendlies; A draw with Rijeka of Croatia, Hibs more than matched them in Europe this season before we went down to 10 men and crumbled. A 3-1 win against an Empoli side featuring Liam Henderson, they finished 14th in Serie A. And a win against Borussia Monchengladbach, a mid table Bundesliga side (albeit the scores were level when they made 8 subs at half time). Obviously it’s hard to know the competitiveness of these games and there’s also the factor that we have the potential to catch a few of them cold with a lack of football, albeit the adrenaline may compensate for that due to ongoings in Ukraine. Its hard to piece together much about who is likely to play due to the nature of the ongoings but one thing I noticed is that their first choice goalkeeper Georgi Bushchan has only played 70 games in his whole career at the age of 27, and is a Ukraine based player, not sure what to take from that but their may be a mistake in him so hopefully the likes of John McGinn and Calum McGregor have their shooting boots on. I don’t think it’s confirmed yet but I believe it’s likely that trains will be running afterwards, looking forward to the day all in all, The Shed for a wee (probably big) bevy to settle the nerves and then off to Hampden and hopefully a few celebratory lagers back in Edinburgh. I have a sneaking feeling that John McGinn is due a big goal in a big game, I know he scored against Israel but I feel like a huge goal that’ll take his status in terms of the regard he’s held in after time has passed up a level, hopefully it can be Wednesday or Sunday for that matter. Going to take a stab at; Scotland 2-1 Ukraine Dykes 75 Yaremchuk 22 McGinn 82 Because….if we’re gonna do it, we ain’t gonna do it the easy way, it is of course Scotland after all.
  18. Nah, I didn’t. You could tell what he wanted to achieve was absolutely the right way of doing things and I think given time he may have just done that, far more potential than Jack Ross and a lot better to listen to. I think he was looking for us to have lots of possession, build from the back and get lots of shots on goal unfortunately we achieved the former but not the latter and the latter probably suffered due to the former. Hope he does well and hope you win the league next year and if you get Maloney I think that you will, hope he succeeds partly to prove me right in my ire when he was sacked.
  19. Hard luck lads, the 21st of May was never gonna be anything other than Hibs’ day. Thanks very much Rangers
  20. I think the best take on it than I can muster is that the board are big Peep Show fans. First we had Jack Ross, who was a dead ringer for well known white supremacist p***k, Daryl. Then we decided to pay tribute to the shows writer by bringing in Clyde goalkeeper David Mitchell for absolutely no reason. And now we’ve gone and picked up David Mitchell’s arch nemesis from Peep Show, Gerard.
  21. I went to a few Edinburgh City games last season and I went down to Annan on the bus last weekend. Safe to say this will be a more regular occurrence until these charlatans hand the club over to someone else.
  22. Fucking sickener that, should have kept Maloney, at least he had some scope to develop. A beige buzzword p***k with no plan B seems to be the consensus from Sunderland/Bristol City fans. At least it’ll be easier to stop my season ticket after VAR comes in and ruins the Scottish game then.
