  1. Premier Sports must be spewing theyve paid to show our game, be lucky if they get 1 person who pays for the game when it’s on BBC for free
  2. Squad to be announced this week I would expect? Who fancies a game of injury tombola? I’m going to go for Ryan Fraser, Liam Cooper and John Fleck to call off with injuries but all play in the next premier league fixture.
  3. Genuinely thought we were the better team in the first half, Celtic just took their chances when we didn’t, 2nd half was rubbish, passive and sat too deep although the game was dead by then. Joe Newell really isn’t very good.
  4. Hibs Hearts Aberdeen Dundee Utd Dundee Motherwell Kilmarnock St Mirren Partick Thistle Dunfermline Raith Rovers Ross County
  5. It’s big for Rangers/Celtic as it gives them a guaranteed Champs League group spot but as a Hibs fan as far as I’m concerned, the main thing is being 15th or below as that’s where we get an extra European Place for 3rd-5th (providing one for the Glasgow cheeks win the cup). Depends what your motives for caring is really.
  6. Am I right in saying this season the following is correct: Winners of SPFL Premiership: UCL 3rd Qualifying Round Runners Up: 2nd Qualifying Round 3rd Place/Cup Winners: Europa League Play Off 4th Place/3rd: Europa Conference 2nd Qualifying Round 5th Place/4th: Europa Conference 2nd Qualifying Round
  7. That implies most of their support stay in Glasgow which is absolutely not the case.
  8. If last weeks old firm headsgone is anything to go by I’m hoping for a dodgy penalty, offside goal given and a red card ignored all in favour of Jamie Murphy. Also, with Celtic being self righteous p***ks, does anyone have any idea hows best to see the game with the lack of PPV option available.
  9. Crazy how Steven Gerrard has gone from Champions League Winning Captain to getting absolutely rattled due to a 21 year old from Dalkeith smiling at him.
  10. Ryan Porteous owns Rangers International Football Club plc.
  11. Most indifferent I’ve been about a Hibs Rangers game that I can ever remember, fed up of games behind closed doors, our best start to a top flight season in years and it’s generated even less excitement than teams of Williamson, Heckingbottom and Calderwood.
  12. I totally forgot about the light fiasco that day that was some carry on, it was bloody freezing aswell. Greg Stewart tore us to absolute bits that day, peak Neil Lennon doing Neil Lennon things.
  13. I think his 2 caps for Holland were equivalent to Lewis Stevenson’s for Scotland in an effective “B squad” in a friendly but nonetheless I did expect a lot more. He looked absolutely lost in a 3-0 defeat at Rugby Park, I had memories of Lennon playing a very weird formation with strange personnel so thought I’d google it to check, often google will get the formation wrong but I can honestly say this was how it lined up, a midfield 5 with arguably 4 of them who are naturally defenders
  14. Ricardo Vaz Te is an even bigger “I forgot he played for us” as I forgot to even include him in this list. Did well at the top level in England. Signed for us. Scored against Hearts. Left. Did well at a the top level in England again. Bizarrely didn’t even stand out in a Hibs team that finished 10th.
  15. With Anthony Stokes’ patter coming to the fore once again, I had a thought about all the players that have came to my club, gave it laldy in a press conference and then left with making no or minimal impact and put together an XI of players that either rarely or never played to the point where I just totally forgot they played for us (or were employed by us). Who are the 11 players that you know they played for your club but just can’t remember them playing or ever doing anything for your club whatsoever. Here’s mine below in the standard 4-4-2 format: Tomas Cerny: I was delighted with this signing, signed after a really good spell with Partick and I think everyone expected him to take the gloves off of Mark fucking Oxley, he somehow didn’t even make one appearance before moving on and doing pretty well again. Bizarre. Miquel Nelom - We’ve had full backs that have played less but this one was strange, signed by Neil Lennon from Feyenoord, had champions league experience, was a decent age yet somehow was hugely ineffectual and unable to break into the team, 3 appearances then back over to Holland. Jonathan Spector - 36 caps for USA, around 15 years experience in the English Premiership league yet couldn’t oust Paul Hanlon. I vaguely remember coming on against Hearts at Tynecastle, I think we won that game but I was probably (definitely) far too intoxicated to recall what he was like, Wikipedia suggests one appearance to that matches up. Brian McLean - Yes, he played for Hibs, was absolutely rubbish in a 1-1 draw at East End Park when Neil Lennon drew his way to the championship title, that’s about all. Adam Eckersley - Was signed as cover for Stevenson, from Hearts with the Hearts fans all spewing because he was good for them apparently? Remember him warming up a lot but I don’t think he ever played a game. Duncan Watmore - Has gone on to star in the premier league (although league 1 now) and won player of the month award I’m sure, decent career down south, looked electric on his debut but sure he was absolutely halfed and then looked too scared to do anything, part of the team that got relegated but again, I forgot he was even there. Gael Bigirimana - I’m sure we paid Motherwell a fee for him on deadline day, came on once in a 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen under Eddie May/Grant Murray and looked okay but was never seen again Ryan Gauld - Again, Ryan Gauld played for Hibs, loaned from Sporting Lisbon, played a couple, got injured, the end, fantastic assist against Elgin City in the cup, seems to be doing well in Portugal now though, hopefully kicks on and makes a mark for Scotland. Jake Sinclair - I remember we signed him on loan from Southampton, was absolutely electric on Football Manager which lead me to believe he’d do well, looked okay off the bench against Cowdenbeath, played another couple then was sent back packing, most notably remembered for doing his business down Salamander Street and accidentally sending a picture to his mrs of said Salamander Street supplier. Phil Airey - Signed on loan under Colin Calderwood, we were told by lots of Newcastle fans how good he was going to be, came on away to Killie in a 4-1 hammering for 10 mins, decided he didn’t fancy it and was sent back, last seen at Blyth Spartans, sounds about right. Steve Pinau - Another one who was class on Football Manager, France U19 international signed on loan from Genoa, I remember absolutely nothing about this guy other than a goal in a home league cup defeat to Greenock Morton.
  16. He has yeah, quite a lot, defensively not great (as you’ll see if you saw the penalty he gave away against Aberdeen) but he does pick the ball up deep and acts as a good ball carrier, could also be played there to match Kent for pace.
  17. With Murphy being unavailable we also don’t really have anyone that can play left wing in a 4-3-3, I’m not exactly confident in any central midfielder we could bring in either for that matter that would make a great deal of difference. I would suspect we go with 3-5-2/5-3-2 like you say with Boyle and Doig as our “wing backs” and either bring Allan, Mallan or Hallberg in for Murphy to play in the middle, which in honesty gives me the fear, Allan isn’t Allan at the moment, Mallan is Mallan and I’m yet to work out what Hallbergs attributes actually are.
  18. That was the game you beat us 2-1 where Stevenson scored early on and then Windass and Morelos scored about 2 mins apart just before half time, we battered you that night but contrived to hit the post about 4 different times, not to mention David Bates superman punching the ball in his own box without the ref seeing anything. Fully expect both trends to continue this weekend, Hibs not to concede in open play, Rangers not to concede and to win. Hibs 0-2 Rangers (Barisic free kick and Tavernier penalty)
  19. What we thinking for the Saints? Czech Republic style call ups for the people of Paisley to fill out their squad?
  20. Hopefully Nisbet is fit again our midfield was so bad against Aberdeen so it’s back to basics for me and none of the 3 in the middle should keep their place with Gogic coming back in. Marciano McGinn Porteous Hanlon Doig Boyle Gogic (gulp) Mallan Murphy Nisbet Doidge I’ve went for Mallan on the sole basis that it’s been the longest since he’s pissed me off and Hallberg, Newell and Allan all deserve to be dropped after that horror show against Aberdeen and we don’t really have any other options. 1-1 is the most likely result I would say.
  21. Shame there’s no fans at this as we wouldn’t have even needed segregation. See you at the Bankhouse in February boiz* *if we’re not all dead by then
  22. Pretty highly thought of, only seen him in friendlies but he’s a big lad and he’s never really put a foot wrong in said friendlies, couple of good saves in the recent one against Celtic. Probably better speaking to Cowdenbeath fans as he was there last season, he seemed to impress although he did get injured quite early on and not sure how often he played after that.
