  1. Death, taxes and St Johnstone getting a result at Easter Road. Pish game of football with two poor teams if you ask me with Jamie Murphy (who FWIW I didn’t really rate but has done well the last week or so) and Ali McCann being the only shining lights, fair play to Paul McGoal tho.
  2. In fairness, we get buzzing when we get wins at Ibrox and Parkhead, it’s a class day out when a small band of your supporters are there to take point from a gargantuan club bigger than your own, let them have their celebrations and I hope they enjoy themselves from their living rooms tonight when they get their late equaliser.
  3. The narrative Hibs fans give is the latter (ie anytime we see out a defeat people seem to think if there were fans in the ground we’d have lost it/drawn it). Games would absolutely be less flat and be played with more passion when crowds are there, I don’t doubt that, it’s more the way Hibs fans seem to stick the boot into our own support for us chucking leads over the years when it’s really been the fault of our players/managers. But I totally agree, the number of goals and standard of football we’ve seen this season has for me, been much slower, flatter and the lack of fans has been a detriment to all clubs. Probably a Hibs specific gripe that I didn’t make clear tbh.
  4. I really don’t subscribe to the “We WoUlD hAvE lOsT tHaT iF tHeRe WaS a CrOwD” narrative but for the first time I’m saying that tomorrow, no supporters could help us.
  5. Doidge rolled his ankle in training on Friday, don’t know if he’ll be back or not, he’s been poor this season to be honest* so not particularly bothered *however I do expect him to go on a goalscoring run at some point
  6. I was honestly adamant this game was on Wednesday but apparently not. Not heard anything yet about HibsTV but it’ll be available on PPV for any St Johnstone fans or non season ticket holders. I’m sure the Indian sign St Johnstone have over us will somehow continue, 8 (EIGHT) years since we’ve beat them at Easter Road. Dismal first half, 0-0 at half time, Hibs to come out firing after half time, Nisbet to score, go 1-0 up, miss loads of chances, last 15 mins wave after wave of St JOHNSTONE attack, David Wotherspoon with a last minute equaliser. 7pm kick off, assume this is due to the UEFA Mafia not wanting games to clash with their precious Champions League. A first match thread for me so if we lose I won’t start another ever again.
  7. Based on the 6 (six) games against them, Israel (fucking Israel) are a better team than us. Bye bye hope and optimism.
  8. Ayr Utd and Airdrie on this weeks c**t list
  9. I’ve woke up this morning incredibly hungover and read through this whole thread from around page 26 over the past few hours in between watching clips and ordering a dominos and I can honestly say, what a read this is. I can’t say much about the game cause I really don’t remember much of it through a mixture of adrenaline and being pished but in what’s been a fucking horrible year on so many levels we’ve actually done it. I just rewatched the video Clyde SSB put up a few days ago and proper burst into full on tears (link for anyone that’s not seen it https://www.facebook.com/227407058938/posts/10159239220008939/?vh=e&d=n) I honestly haven’t woke up feeling like this in years, Scotland will be in the Euro 2020 Xbox game, we’ll have in the panini sticker book, bairns everywhere will be swapping Stephen O’Donnell stickers, we’ll have our first Euros song since 1998, Irn Bru will make an inspiring advert, it’s surreal. This year has been a Black Mirror episode but this is the part where there’s an unexpected happy ending, the last time we qualified I was 1 and a half, it just means so much.
  10. Cheers, like I said nothing major
  11. Just the preset for counter fluid with a 4-4-2/4-2-4 with wingers.
  12. Game seems overall a lot slicker than ever before, Match Engine seems the best it ever is although I’ll probably put this down again until the real release comes out because on a first play it was just too easy. First 10 games with Hibs, 8 wins and 2 draws, 33 goals for and 6 against, Kevin Nisbet scoring 12 in his first 6 and this wasn’t with any fancy tactics just the standard counter fluid 4-4-2 with advanced wingers. Hopefully sorts itself out as it has the potential to be a level above any game before. Noticed one minor mistake with data at Hibs, Yrick Galantes is on loan at ADT of The Philippines, looks to have been missed, nothing major though @SGMilne
  13. Brilliant episode, as always, I don’t usually post on this thread but the weird guy in the last minute winner trying to make a George Ezra equivalent of We Have A Dream has sent me nuts, sorry, bloody hell wtf was that. If we do qualify next week can we please ensure that that’s never seen again.
  14. I’m not sure if this response was funny or I laughed due to the amount of alcohol I’ve consumed this evening but nonetheless I take this as a bigger victory than my team could have possibly achieved tonight. The Butchers Arms dartboard, we will meet again.
  15. Probably an unpopular view and judgement clouded by the fact I’ve had an idea in my head for ages that Jack Ross isn’t a good manager....but.....Jack Ross isn’t a good manager if you ask me. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk
  16. Can confirm if the grounds were open, I’d be back in the pub already.
  17. Seen Police Scotland trawling this thread looking for rule breakers
  18. You actually responded before I had in the time it took for me to type my reply in a more articulate way than I did. Cheers
  19. You’re forgetting we were down to 10 men and it was wave after wave of pressure, the minute Adam Jackson sliced a cross into his own net it was clear Aberdeen were winning and as a Hibs fan we’ve seen the script before and a lovely cold pint of Tennents was far more appealing than watching Aberdeen run over the top of us. It was just a case of leaving the ground at 1-1, we did hear a loud cheer on the way up so assumed it was 2-1 Aberdeen. I mean as far as I can recall it was only 15 minutes or so to get up to the boozer after, was fairly comfortable. Hope that answers all the questions you had, if you need anything further I’ll get back to you in 3-5 working days.
  20. Good shout if you want continuity, would extend Lennons legacy of bottling big games
  21. That was some day out, and the fact it was such just makes me miss the football and away days even more. Got the train up early doors, absolutely steaming before kick off, missed Doidge’s goal getting a pie, left the game after it went to 1-1 because it was obvious what was happening, back to the pub to find out it was 3-1 and played the worst darts that The Butchers Arms has ever seen before falling asleep on the train home and waking up at Waverley absolutely perplexed. Give me us being pish and us being able to go over challenging for Europe and watching from a laptop any day, miss the halcyon days of being able to travel about Scotland watching my team. The one positive is that I’ll never need to watch Adam Jackson play football anymore, scored a few headers at set pieces but was a truly awful footballer, found it absolutely mental that some folk rated him.
  22. Alex Gogic had to isolate and missed a call up for Cyprus in August due to a false positive. Assume the rules are different with different governments etc but surely there should be standard rules across all of UEFA to stop inconsistencies like these arising.
