That's the interesting thing about responsibility, or accountability, at Falkirk now.  Falkirk fans have the opportunity to replace directors if they aren't satisfied with the job they're doing, whether it's appointing managers, managing the club's financial and commercial performance, upgrading the stadium, choosing strips or the quality of the website.

That accountability is built into the jobspec and intentionally so. There'll be elections next year, so anyone who thinks they can do better can step forward.  So Falkirk fans can actually do something about it rather than just be angry, and Falkirk fans will be responsible for the outcome.

Why would people come forward and do something about things when they can sit back and let others do it then moan about it? Some people are just never happy unless they've got something to moan about

It’s not rubbish. There’s far too many mistakes with McKay Henderson & Donaldson all much the same - bang average at best…..

Which is why they are playing at L1 level.

If you're expecting us to sign a player who doesn't make mistakes then unfortunately there are no such players.

What's your thoughts on leaving gifts etc.

Very, very rarely chip into these myself, I think they are a lot of fucking nonsense. Would only do it for someone I consider a friend. However I am conflicted about it. Does make me feel like a bit of a dick when someone brings a card round and insists you sign it. I don't think you should be singing and thus giving the impression that you chipped in. Another point of confliction is that when you leave, regardless of how much you insist, you'll be getting leaving gifts yourself

Depends on the person, how long they've been there and the job they do.

In my current place I regularly avoid these. I was really angry one day a few months back to get an email looking for money for a collection to buy a leaving present for the head of the department. She's nice enough judging by how she spoke any time I've seen her in a Teams meeting though i have personally never met her or spoke on the phone with her but what can you buy somebody on £100k+ that they can't buy themselves?

I went off sick two weeks later

  4. On holiday in Turkey just now and been awake since just after 2am due to a Scottish couple on the same floor having a domestic, the female being the one shouting longest and loudest.

This went on so long somebody else felt the need to call the cops. Even when the cops were here she was still going at it.

Suspect alcohol may have played a part in it all.

I dont know if I'm more annoyed at the female or my own partner and son who slept through the whole thing!

  5. I have been accepted as a member of my local bowling club! First membership of a club in over 8 years and the majority of members seem to be roughly the same age as myself.

I'm too late in joining to play in the singles and pairs competitions but the triples and rinks are still to be drawn, hopefully get involved in those as i prefer team games to singles.

I've got my own Taylor Lignoid bowls, just need the shoes/trainers.

Really looking forward to playing regularly again. The club also has an indoor area for over winter

After 10 ends, we were 19-0 up, called it a day after the 15th end and a resounding 21-8 victory.  Full team played well, I had one of my best games for a while, first 10 ends, at least 9-10 chalkers, ridiculous standard to try and maintain all game! Final against Dalserf on the 22nd July at Overtown & Waterloo!

Congratulations to you and your team.

Is the final for a place at the national championships in Ayr?

It’s yet more awful patter that makes us look a complete joke. Everyone can talk about crunchy carrots all they want but not at our expense.

Then again your mates in charge can do no wrong I suppose.

    How appropriate your username!

I have no issue with the CC video and I can't see why anybody would have one. I can't see how the video makes the club look a joke.

The number of posts on here talking about it shows it achieved its aim. Imagine a social media company using social media to promote itself!

  8. This will likely have been covered already but the newest episode of the Walking Down Hope Street podcast was released on 18th May featuring Colin McNair.

I've just finished listening to it and it really strikes home how much he threw his career away due to his addiction but also tells of his recovery. Well worth a listen

Like anyone pulling on the NB, I sincerely wish the guy all the best. Correct length of deal, and hope he makes his mark straight away. As said probably the best distributer of the ball, but needs to work on his overall awareness and cross balls. A decent new CH and RB will help.

That will all come with experience, don't they say keepers hit their peak late 20's/early 30's.

We need to sign a right back. I'm not convinced we will sign another CH with Donaldson, McKay, Henderson, Mackie and potentially Watson all on the books. That doesn't mean I don't think we should sign a CH, just I think the money will be used for a wide player or some energy in the middle of the pitch

Been back on fluoxetine for just over a month now. Was on it for about 18 months a few years back but then just decided to stop (the brain zaps were a bit crazy for a week but then nothing).

Unsure why I didn't get back on them sooner. Feel like it's really making a difference. Isn't a magic pill that cures everything, but it does pull me up to a platform where I'm more capable of tackling things.

My mum died in February and I thought I was ok. However I was dealing with it unconsciously via my usual (awful) coping method, that being eating. I put on a bit of weight, on an already disgracefully/disgustingly/abysmally/shamefully/embarrassingly frame, without even being that aware of it. If I was tracking calories it would have been glaring clear, but I wasn't. It was a subconscious coping method I think. No excuse for how badly I've let myself down and how weak and disgusting and a piece of shit I've been, but I hope to try and bounce back so that I can at least attempt to try and have a semblance of a life, despite all I've missed due my disgusting weakness.

You done what you done at the time as a coping mechanism. That's human nature. What you've realised now is that you want to adjust your lifestyle to get you back to how you were pre your mum's death and for that you should be commending yourself, not beating yourself up.

Take things one day at a time and you will get through this. Give yourself something to focus on each day even if that's only a 10 minute walk around the block.

Good luck, keep your chin up

Hogarth was really underwhelming I thought. Only looked competent next to Morrison and Kinnear.

I thought Morrison was marginally the better between himself and Hogarth. Kinnear never really gave me any confidence though maybe that's down to a lack of confidence himself.

I'm sure they're all around the same age with roughly the same number of career appearances. I'm happy to cut them some slack based on their age, experience and the poor defending in front of them but an experienced keeper whether as first or second choice would be great for the other keeper we will have.

Because I don’t think Phil needs any additional scorn poured on him just now and I don’t think he’s getting his life back on track any time soon. Holly is now able to carry on with her glamorous career and is going along with the line of being a victim in all of this, it’s fucking horrific behaviour. Yes he deserves thrown under the bus but he needed it 3 years ago but she instead ran along with the line that he was a victim of his own sexuality which completely shat on thousands of people who have gone through the same thing in life. She is genuinely the worst person on earth.

Does any of what Philip Schofield has done affect you in your daily life?

To call Holly Willoughby "the worst person on earth" is a bit much when you see what our politicians, Putin etc are doing.

  13. I've had a couple of throws on Sunday mornings while my son has been at bowling coaching sessions at our local club.

Each time I've had a game I've been really sore afterwards (lower back/top of my backside). I've had the same delivery for years but I wonder if I need to see about changing my delivery so I'm not in pain afterwards?  The local club aren't insisting I wear proper bowling shoes/trainers and are happy to let me play in normal trainers but could not having proper bowling shoes/trainers be causing the pain? Or is there an obvious answer of trying lighter bowls?

Tips welcome as I do really enjoy playing and the socialising that comes with that
